How to Choose the Correct Cable Pulley

Properly pairing pulleys with wire rope, miniature or ultrafine mechanical cable, says Craig, is the same as pairing the perfect wine with the perfect cheese. Put together the right mix of both, and you'll enjoy more potential out of the two than you expected. However, using the incorrect pulley with your mechanical cable may cause premature failures in the field, and even if not, the wrong pairing will almost certainly result in far shorter cable life, as well as that of the pulley.

What coating is more durable on gym equipment that goes around several 6" pulleys? Vinyl or nylon?
