What a unique interpretation and artistic performance! Thank you Paul Barton for delivering this lovely gift of music pouring your emotion and heart into the music!
Yes, honestly...I nearly wept. This is one of my favorite pieces, and I have heard dozens of renditions of it, but none has ever moved me like your genuinely heartfelt performance. In other versions I always found something to criticize - too fast here, too choppy there, too stilted at the beginning or too much decrescendo at the end - but none of those distractions intruded as I listened to you play. It was pure, perfect, immersive enjoyment! Now I wish I had know how beautifully this piece could be played when I 'recited' it in high school, so proud of my technical accomplishment yet so totally bereft of any intimacy or emotion. Surely, I cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful experience.
Hi Paul, I find your interpretation this time is very different from last time (on your old Yamaha). I'm not an expert but curious what changes in your mind over the years and why it sounds so different. I cannot tell why but just have a feeling.
Although it sounds awfully like a nocturne, its distinguished middle section makes it more of an etude depending on how it is played - I prefer it to be played at a much faster tempo than the first and third sections.
I know I am a little late ;), but it is an Etude in the form of a Cantabile. That means it is songlike (at least in the A section. Like all Etudes of Chopins, it is in an ABA form)
One of the most beautiful renditions of this work I ever listened to.
AGREE
Have you thought about selling an itunes album of Chopin's etudes? This is honestly my favourite performance of this piece.
Beautiful, rich, and genuine. I Love how I can see how much you love playing this piece.

This "Etude Op.10 No.3 - Tristesse (French for "Sadness") is my favorite Chopin composition!
Me lembrou Horowitz!! Parabéns
Wonderful, can you play the Etude in F major, Op. 25 No. 3 by any chance? I would enjoy seeing you play it.
This piece sounds easier than it is, for certain.
Where is the like button? Or the love button LOL!
Good
" No Other Love...."
A very nice performance but I would prefer the opening melody to be a little bit faster. Tastefully done. Thank you
Please play pines of Rome
Isn't that nocturne, because it sounds very similar
