Those tears almost made me cry too lol... Not only is that one of the gnarliest tricks ever done, but he knows it, and shows gratitude for landing it. He cried tears of joy, and immediately thanked his father and gave his thanks to GOD. These dudes risk their life to take skateboarding to the next level and I appreciate this shit so much. Crazy watching Felipe, but especially Kyonosuke, grow up through skating on this channel.
I've been thinking this for a decade but never put it on wax, and I'm sure many have said this before, but I honestly feel like the true sign and skill of a pro skateboarder is their ability to BAIL properly and safely, rather than their sheer trick prowess. It is not luck that allows a person to avoid a rail to the crotch and then milliseconds later tuck and roll onto the cement so as to not break a leg bone or die. It is focused repetition and raw skill, straight up. Being able to figure all this out at such a young age is what sets these types of dudes apart. And anyone who does this for a living for 20-30 years, to keep coming back after every injury, truly incredible human beings who are up there with the top athletes of all time in my book. I've been skating since the mid 90's and still love it to this day, broken bones and all! Nothing but respect and love for all true skaters out there!!!
Yes and no, these guys all fuck themselves up dude. Don't kid yourself. You do not want to ask Jaws, Nyjah, Sheckler, or Milton about their past injuries lol. Knowing how to bail only gets you so far.
