I found a whole new appreciation for Ruby Spears once Fully Charged came out. Ruby Spears was incredibly cheesy don't get me wrong, but 80's cartoons did what they said on the tin. You wanted Super Fighting Robots, you got Super Fighting Robots. They didn't feel the need to throw out everything that made Mega Man Mega Man to force in yet another ""relatable"" lame human kid. They saw a game about a robot superhero blasting evil robots and taking their powers and made a show about a robot superhero blasting evil robots and taking their powers. Surprisingly accurate to the games story too it's almost as if they'd seen more than just a picture of Mega Man before they started working on it : /

ABC and NBC may also follow suit, since CW is likely continuing its deal with Litton and Fox is out of it, entirely. Of course, the 1990 CTA is outdated and needs to be reformed. Have faith- we just might see the next era of Saturday morning cartoons on broadcast television, especially in the digital age, where people are "cutting the cord" on cable, sort of speak!!!

There seems to be a lot of people who think the “budget” went into the intro. The budget did not go into the intro they took clips from the test animation they showed to investors and worked it into the intro. Originally Rock and Roll were supposed to look more like their childish game looking counterparts from Japan but, through focus group testing and based on the cartoons of the time the animation studio was told to make the characters look more adult, muscular, and angular instead of petite, small, and childlike. I hope this clears this up for anyone.

The episode "Mega X" is as close as it ever got and it's the best one anyway just for being a tie-in with Mega Man X.

I forgot that Mega Man's cartoon show was actually really good, probably stands alongside Sonic SatAM as one of the few decent cartoons based off a video games. Way better than Mario or Zelda's cartoons, that's for sure. This Mega Man also was way better than his Captain N counterpart *shudders*

Agreed.I found a whole new appreciation for Ruby Spears once Fully Charged came out. Ruby Spears was incredibly cheesy don't get me wrong, but 80's cartoons did what they said on the tin. You wanted Super Fighting Robots, you got Super Fighting Robots. They didn't feel the need to throw out everything that made Mega Man Mega Man to force in yet another ""relatable"" lame human kid. They saw a game about a robot superhero blasting evil robots and taking their powers and made a show about a robot superhero blasting evil robots and taking their powers. Surprisingly accurate to the games story too it's almost as if they'd seen more than just a picture of Mega Man before they started working on it : /
Ya know....even after all these years, this opening is still pretty awesome....those shots of robotic megaman are actually pretty well done and kinda chilling...

I spent years chasing the high that i experienced when I saw this intro on TV when I was a little kid.

i think capcom is trolling us yet again. even if the cartoon is legit i bet it won't last very long on cartoon network. cn will just cancel because boys aren't buying enough of the tie-in toys or because too many girls are part of the viewership. thats the same bullshit cn cancelled thundercats and y. justice because too girls started liking it and the toys weren't selling good enough.
no what i mean is apparently the c. network exec's are sexist and apparently don't want girls watching a ''boy show'' in big numbers. y. justice was popular but was generating unexpectedly higher viewership with a female audience. the other reason is the toys weren't selling enough to boys (likely the same reason). because it'd be a godaweful disaster if a 8 year old girl buys a action figure of superboy.

There seems to be a lot of people who think the “budget” went into the intro. The budget did not go into the intro they took clips from the test animation they showed to investors and worked it into the intro. Originally Rock and Roll were supposed to look more like their childish game looking counterparts from Japan but, through focus group testing and based on the cartoons of the time the animation studio was told to make the characters look more adult, muscular, and angular instead of petite, small, and childlike. I hope this clears this up for anyone.
Sure X is cool and all, but he didn't have a kick-ass intro that made childhoods.

man i used to love watching this show...still my favorite episode was when X, Vile, and some of the mavericks showed up...this of course being right around the time I started playing Mega Man X and that blew my mind
