To the band director and all the students who participate in the Westfield Marching Band and flags, your hard work has really paid off. The music, the routine, playing and movement, is something to be really proud of. The individual commitments here are essential to this great, great program, and awesome playing, and song choices. This looked and sounded like professionals. No one but a band director and marching band students, along with their parents know what is involved here, to get to this level. Practice and commitment. This is why band members are always awesome working with others. These kids practice in the heat, in the parking lot, and in the field with little time for anything else. Go, Westfield! Go, Bulldogs!
There’s also the fact that this is a phone recording and the quality always sucks. I record my bands a lot and it never comes out even close to the live sound.
As a former marching band member, I can appreciate everything about this show. I loved every second of this! A job well done to all the band members, the color guard, the directors, and the parent volunteers!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I will admit, I am not up on the latest marching band trends. My daughter, an excellent student and soccer player there at Westfield High School in Chantilly,VA, first showed me a picture of the percussionist/drummer in the gyroscope after the game that night. Had no idea it would blow up like this, and yes, being of a certain age, Tommy from Motley Crue immediately came to mind.
It felt extremely weird that this blew up, because I saw this in person, and I would have never thought the Parade of Champions would trend this much lmao.
Very cool!! I posted the Tik Tok clip to my old band director (was in band fall 89- spring 93), and said we did some really cool things like playing at Neyland Stadium (he had been the drum major at Tennessee just a couple years before), we played for POTUS, and we marched with almost 200 people on the field, but how come we never did something cool like this 😆 Great job guys!!
It was fun making the gyroscope for Westfield High School Band, VA , 2 Cool Percussion.
6:27 what’s this song called? Its so cool!
One of the most insane and incredible things I’ve ever seen on a field starting at 5:53. Well done on an amazing show!
they may have a material advantage but nobody can discredit the time and effort that went into this

Its cool i just don't understand the theme lol.
The theme is “Revolution”, both in the US history sense, but also the revolutions of the drummer :)
It's too quiet for a band of that size it just needs more big moments
True, I can't really hear the Sousas and there's so many of them, I can hear it very well in my band and we have only 3 contras
@@reaperslife9246 i can hear them just fine😮💨
@@mcman7899 Hm, maybe I didn't have my volume up enough then, either way, we could always use more tuba sound

People in my band are saying this went viral on TikTok? Is this true?
Yes
Very very true
Huh interesting... I saw this in person since I am a Virginia Band. (James Wood) so I guess flex.
Ya this is pretty cool I guess, the music's good and visuals are o-HOLY CRAP

not putting any of them down, but reading about the gyroscope by Tommy Lee, I was really expecting something outrageous
Same, but she smashed it, especially for visual effects!

@@Maw0 It's also a reminder that you never know who might be recording audio, and you might be on it. ;-)

This is a great show! And same on Tommy Lee! His spinning kit from the 87/88 GGG tour is probably the reason why drummers are my favorite 😉
@@michellewallace6511 Drummers are cool!
Me on tuesdays be like gets 7th place in group 5a
1988 Les Etoiles have entered the chat...starting at 1:23

Very cool! But for comparison, they were part of the (now defunct) Drum Corp in Canada. Love marching band (band geek here!) and DCI!
I was in the golf cart that couldn’t get out of the gate

bro my class went there to see people compete!! they were definitely one of my favorites
This rivals Father Ryan Drumline indoor percussion show named “DONT TRY THIS AT HOME”.
this band has so much potential, wow!
Wow! Nice!
Lol
How ridiculous is this ??
Not at all, this is awesome
