Crazy how his average g+a ratios of 4 years before joining epl was 1.1. Not to mention he only went 1 season with a ratio under 1. He didn't play in some unknown clubs though. He played for decent clubs. namely Gremio (loan), Porto, Sporting, Galatasaray. but then he came to premier league, his g+a ratio dropped from averaging 1.1 to 0.25. No offense to Martin Adam but his opponents were Hungarian clubs (1st division to 3rd division) and also K1 clubs. They're not even close Jardel's opponents beforre joining euro top 5 league. Interestingly he is coming from a Hungarian team called Paksi FC (of the city Paks), which is one of the financially weakest teams in Hungary division 1 (they dont even have an official sponsor). Interestingly this team tends to perform waaaay above their capacity in the Hungarian league year after year and even tho they dont win it, they gave the hungarian league top scorer through 3 consecutive years (János Hahn, Martin Ádám and Barnabás Varga).
Martin played there before joining Ulsan HD. Interestingly the current 1st choice Hungarian striker Barnabás Varga was also a Paks player (and top scorer) before joining top Hungarian team Ferencváros last year.
Martin Ádám is now 29 his abilities were discovered pretty late, he spent much of his career in low ranked teams. He didnt even get the call up for the last EUROs he said it in an interview that he watched those EUROs at home with his family in the small town he is from "having a couple of beers":D.
He has a unique story its nice to see that people abroad appreciate him.

Its not weird that he is a footballer, but a guy built like that would usually be a defender. I can instantly think of Kamil Glik from Poland, he also had a body shape similar to Adam, he played in the 2017 AS Monaco team that won the French league and reached Champions League semifinals in 2017. Probably the best team Monaco ever had, with not only Glik, but also players like Falcao, Bakayoko, Bernardo Silva and of course Kylian Mbappe. At that time Glik was at the peak of his career, and he was a huge part of how Poland conceded 0 goals in the group stage and tied points with Germany at the first place in the group (Poland ended up at 2nd place because they had 1 goal less in the goal difference), eliminated Switzerland and then lost to Portugal in the quaterfinals only in penalties. At the whole tournament Poland only lost two goals, and he was a huge part of that. He got injured before the 2018 World Cup and our defence looked pathetic without him.
