Seeing the Mother of Mothers return put a big ass smile on my face. Old areas that come back abandoned/destroyed is one of my favorite tropes in video games. Play a remix of the original areas' theme and you got a recipe for fan tears. Love this game.
Damn right I was surprised as well when I first got here and was stoked. Especially those chandeliers that go back and forth and you need to not get your head banged by them lol.
It actually made me feel sad. I felt like I saw something that I cared about. That was ripped away suddenly. The music made me feel big sad and reverent. I thought this was kind of odd from a role playing perspective though. TPO worked to dismantle this entire church system because of its corruption and damage to the Cvstodian people. The fact that I felt longing for the church to be restored almost felt perverse with how TPO probably felt.
I was pretty oblivious when it comes to names of places and saw the stage and was like « hey isn’t this…. » I moved to a different location and came back it really was the mommy of mommies! 😭❤
The Mother of Mothers, the cathedral to end all cathedrals, simply swallowed by the wasteland of buried churches and forgotten. The fucking poetry of it all.
Entering that long room all cautious and seeing the giant bell just laying in a pile of rubble in the background was the happiest moment I've had in this game. It's like the reverse of feels of finding the Fair Lady's corpse in DS3; just pure joy to see that thing destroyed.
@@dejuanwilson1787 It's even better when you see the giant censer knocked down in the background. something so beastly that you had to duck/dash every time the thing swung by back then only to be a crumbled shadow of it's former self is very humbling to see.
God this music is really something. Blasphemous 1 was great but this is raising it again, I'm about 50% through, hopefully we get to see more of the universe and the penitant one in subsequent games. 1:50 is where it really hits
The once beautiful and majestic basilica of Mother of mothers is now in ruins. The BGM really adds to the sad nostalgia i felt when i explore this area once more. All the bloody sweats i've been through exploring this area with the incense swinging around and heat you feeling with irritation and the same time excitement--not to mention surviving the swinging giant incense once u survive was a felt of relieved is now full sadness. Ha.. So long Mother of mothers this area of the game irritates me much but its beauty will always still remain in my heart.
I hope they would and if they do i hope Santa Monica Studious will help to recreate this game in 4K. God of War 4 and Ragnarok like graphics and underrated gameplay as well.
Once a great cathedral now become a deserted ruins with the few of its guardians still lurking around its halls, Redento's statue is now build in the same spot where he died, and the withered remains of Knot of the Three Words really put a nostalgic feeling.
It's melancholic, that's probably why. And it stems to the lore. The Pop is one of the most protected memories of the Pure Vessel and this version of MoM shows how much time has passed between two games, everything so run down and abandoned the bell that never stopped ringing now silent on the ground it's a husk of its former glory
So i guess this means the city got built on top of the Mother of Mothers? Also, are we exploring the city thats in the sky, or is our hub the city underneath it?
I'll never understand this kind of mindset where one *has* to be better than the other. Carlos poured his heart into both scores, and while you can prefer the Spanish desolation due to personal taste, to call the second score "very inferior" feels utterly reductive and insulting to a true master of his craft. Because both scores are absolutely wondrous pieces of art. You can still enjoy one without feeling some need to tear down the other, mate.
@@vicwaters87 Thats very weak mindset of you to think this way friend. So do you mean if a person is good he will never EVER make any mistake in the future? He will be perfect forever? I hope you are not foolish enough to think like this. No offence.

Same, I didn’t expect it but it really shocked me. It used to be the center of Cvstodia’s religion… and now it’s a husk.

I really hope so TOO... Fingers crossed.. I wish and shout TO THE UNIVERSE IT HAPPEN..
But first, we need the DLC for B2. The game’s still not entirely complete yet. No super bosses, no ending C, no conclusion to Crisanta and so forth.
2:42 - this part is out of world. awesome, just awesome.
The Great Censer is collapsed in one area, hit on the ground.
I am 99% certain that DLC will deal somewhere with that stone tree...

My favorite so far. Thank you for uploading this.
Ofcourse your welcome

Same here 🫡
Mother of mother's track was my favorite in b1 who thought they would make an even better track for it in the second game ❤
Needs to be a 1 hour loop video
Everything were rotten away but spear bishop and bell guy is still alive and well 💪
Agreed😁
You cannot kill spear bishop
This track always reminds me of the Path of Pain theme from Hollow Knight for some reason.
