My wife and I have just come back from 4 nights in Tenby. I managed to do a couple of reviews in the Tap & Tan, I had a few of the Tenby Harbour beers aswell, they were great! I was intending on doing a review in there but it was always so busy, and people sometimes don't like to be in the background when filming, so I never got around to doing a review at their pub. Lovely little town, friendly people and fabulous beer Cheers, Eddy 🍻🍻🍻
Have never visited Tenby but you’ve really sold it, Simon. People in your vid were so friendly. I especially loved the lane and brewery with the exposed steel beams
Thank you for the great personal walk about of Tenby. I’m a US observer who Discovered your channel after seeing the video from British Beer Fest a few weeks ago. Enjoying your pub tour of Tenby a town I had never heard of. Tenby appears to be a tourist beach town? The pubs are freakin everywhere. Traveled Wales on business many years ago, Blaenavon. Your walking tour of Tenby want me to come back. Age and mobility would limit my pub touring ability but one pub close to a hotel would make my day.
What a terrific hours viewing mate, Tenby is my favourite place and have spent many hours in most of those places, was in that alley way earlier in the month,,,, fantastic👍, did you forget the crown in lower frog Street,, great little pub usually a couple of good quality beers on in there.
I hope you realise how great these videos are Simon, for people who can't get to these places it's like a free holiday, and as for the beers & breweries - 🙏
Excellent video Simon, really enjoyed seeing the sights and pubs and breweries of Tenby. It looks like a beautiful place, It is now on my to visit list!
Tenby ! When i visited Teny (and Wales) in 2019, this was one of my favorite towns, just lovey. Als so great that such a small town, that has 2 breweries (1 traditional, 1 craft beer). The area is also so wonderfull for walking, the coastel path is amazing.
I was there last weekend and had a great time. Tenby Habour Brewery do a lovely IPA (Caldey Lollipop its called) as well as a British only hopped IPA that was on tap. Sergeants Lane was amazing to have a pint on. Enjoy!
I knew absolutely nothing about Tenby till I watched this video, I think you have done a tremendous justice to this beautiful looking place. i would love to spend some time there relaxing and taking it all in.
I love all the flowers hanging on the walls... amazing glimpse into this place.. well done. I would like to see more of this where you go on a sort of panorama adventure through awesome places with awesome pubs.
A fantastic video once again and a lovely tour of the pubs including micro breweries in Tenby. Another great pub in Tenby which I've been to once for food and drink is The Buccaneer which is also a Tenby Harbwr Brewery chained pub with a massive beer garden and a fine selection of local real ales and Ciders on hand pull. You've given us all a great insight of what we'd expect when visiting any of those pubs including the micro breweries in Tenby. My favourite ales from Tenby Harbwr is Gatland's Ale which you'll normally find during The Six Nations etc and MV Enterprise. I've tried them all on hand pull at my local pub The Ancient Briton in the Swansea Valley area of Powys a few years ago. Keep up with the fantastic work that you do in making these videos.
Brilliant video.I'm an old Pembrokeshire lad (Pembroke Dock) born and bred.I used to work in Kiln Park every summer as a teenager.I try to get back to Tenby at least once a year (I live in Germany now) when visiting family. Was over in March of this year most recently.Tenby has some cracking pubs.Harbwr brewery beers are cracking and the brewery is situated in a super picturesque corner of the town.Tenby brewery co. also turns out some great beers.I'll be passing this video on to my daughter and her boyfriend who will be over in Tenby in two weeks. He's a big craft beer/real ale drinker like myself.Cheers for this mate, made me more than a little homesick (and thirsty 😂🍻)
Superb summer special episode! Cinematic in parts. I hope the Tenby Tourist Board bung you a few quid, because I can't wait to get down there having watched this.
Great coverage, and I would love to live in a little town like that with all those cool little pubs. The brewery you did in this video had a lot of great-sounding brews!
Magical part of the world..... I had some wonderful childhood holidays in Tenby and Manorbier. The Beer Garden at Sergeant's Lane looks fantastic, really must get there next year.
Great vid.... Didn't know the brewery spot was in that lane. Do they serve beer with decent glassware instead of plastics? Also Simon, decent mic needed for the interviews it's too good to miss 🤣🙈
I love Tenby more than words can explain. Thank you for this episode. Great to see how the place is coming along. The Buccaneer was always my go to so I'm shocked to see it's rebranded. Won't stop me going there though! Fun fact - My username is unashamedly lifted from Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood!
This is perfect Si for me and great timing, I'm here now for two weeks! I'm gonna take my time and visit as much as I can. Looking forward to it all. 🍺
Think I’ll be paying Tenby a visit. Looks lovely. Damn shame regarding that old building. We have the same problem in my town. Councils should do more… especially for heritage etc.
I love these small unknown tap rooms/breweries i have one in my home town of Perthshire called cullach brewing which is a superb taproom they have all sorts on tap
Great video Simon. We went to Tenby for the first time last Christmas and I fell in love with the place. I completely agree with what you said about the Royal Lion Hotel. It's an absolute tragedy to see such an amazing old building in pretty much the prime spot on the front going to rack and ruin. Check out the Trip Advisor reviews and they paint an even worse picture than the exterior would have you believe. What a waste 🙄 There's a few more old abandoned hotels just a little further down the road that looked in a similar state. Hopefully someone with deep pockets is already eyeing them and can see their full potential. p.s. Just watched your Bristol vid too (my home town). Keep them coming mate 👍
Love Tenby. Beautiful place and some cracking pubs. Saw the magnificent Super Furry Animals play there. I don't like craft beer and I haven't been to Wales for nearly 20 years. However, I love Brains beers and Felinfoel Double Dragon on cask. I also love Solva further up the Pembrokeshire coast. Beautiful place, again with some cracking pubs. If the summer weather was always great in Wales , who would need Spain or Italy ?
Recently subscribed Si and been enjoying your town breweries playlist. Loved this Tenby breweries trip. At 30.32 in the video you showed a view up into Bridge Street where on the left is house Number 2 that use to be the PRINCES HEAD pub in the 1700's/1800's and the old wrought iron pub sign hanger is still visible set in the wall. Later it became a private house and I know this through my late mother in law who was born in that house in 1928. It had its own cellar and backed onto the Lifeboat pub, which you visited.
Thanks for this video Simon. I’ve booked a ferry over from Rosslare to Fishguard in July with the family. We’re staying in goodwick but I’ll be making a couple of trips to Tenby on your recommendation!
Thanks for the vid great info on Tenby , I think I’m going to go next year if I get my caravan. That bloody doom bar gets everywhere, they must make a fortune .
Wow can't believe I missed this. Is that Kiln park caravan site? Been to Tenby many times, fell in love there, and in love with the place. Thanks for pointing out the pubs and that. Ha just heard you say it is Kiln park. First went there in 1993! Gee where's the time gone? Beautiful place.
That little alley is all the best of Welsh brewing and hospitality ❤
Best episode of the series so far. Thanks for taking us on a beer-centric tour of such a cool location. Great content.

How many of those smaller pubs would go out of business if Tim Martin opened a Spoons on the Royal Lion site.
Wow, this may be one of my new favorite videos on the channel!
What a place to go. It's like it is because it hasn't been runed by the Wetherspoon brigade. I am definitely going to go and thanks for the heads up

That bartop made out of a Lifeboat was one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a bar.

Brilliant video. Took me back 30 plus years when we went to Tenby for long weekends. Looks like the five arches would make for a good beer crawl 👍🍻
Right you made my mind up. Going to Tenby with a friend. Going to pop in to see Rob. Bit of a long swim from Devon but definitely going.
An amazing place Tenby Brewery. Visited last year, and will go again this year. Tenby is incredible.

I’d love to brew my own beer. Got into the craft beer scene a year ago thanks to this channel. Haven’t a scooby where to start though 🤣🤣🤣
Beer kits are easiest way to begin
That Normandy is nice but to clean.
