I am blown away. This just popped up into my recommendations. I am a huge DKC fan and I had no idea such an ambitious fan project was in the works. The visuals are spot on and stay true to DKC's signature dark style. Music is amazing as well. I'll be following your work, can't wait to see what you show us next!!
@@Craigers8637I'm very happy that you liked it too. I only did the level (level design, custom sprites, and assembly) There's a whole team that did everything else, the music, the engine.
his song was composed by Rodrigo Boechat who works on the team, he manages to convey the same feeling I get when I listen to David Wise's original compositions.

@@leonardolagassi2925 Hey, thank you, I'm glad you liked the project, at the moment we are not working with the translation system, it is possible that we will need it in the future, thank you for your help
@@Rangelukaz oh, thank you for the feedback! DK 2 is my favorite game and it'd be amazing to be part of this project if the opportunity comes. See you 💚
The level looks impressive, even that level is inspired by one of the Donkey Kong Land levels called Ape City. I finally see a complete gameplay of that level. I want to be able to see the full game. It's one of my favorite games from my childhood 😊
One can only imagine how the final version of this would've looked like. I can imagine multiple layers of parallax scrolling clouds to add some more depth, or make it a 3D kinda thing like in the Ship hold levels in DKC2 or the floor in Street Fighter II on SNES.
For some reason this level's visual aesthetic feels terrifying with the music! Like the Kongs were never meant to live in a world taken over by skyscrapers.
Amazing job. Fans always seem to recapture what made our favorite games so magical. Special shout out to the game making the OST. Really does David Wise justice.
Incredible. Imagine this level with rain or the lightning hazard from DKC3. Like maybe make this a level for the lost world of this game? Would make a great challenge.
Damn, the music track is SO GOOD. So atmospheric, epic, tension filled, and yet a sense of hope that pushes you to go forward. It almost feels like something David Wise would have made.
The stage is really well designed. The music goes SO hard though like I can’t even focus on the level itself it’s insane. I’d like to think that David Wise would be impressed.
The soundtrack for this level didn't need to go as hard as it did, and yet I'm so glad it does. Rodrigo Boechat made a song that meshes so perfectly you'd think it was made by David Wise himself.
Plus, the traffic lights from The Death and Return of Superman. I want to take a guess that the city in the background was supposed to be Old Detroit or Delta City from the genesis version of Robocop vs The Terminator.
I’m sooooo glad this was randomly recommended to me. I’m a HUGE DK fan and it perfectly captures the vibe and esthetic perfectly~! And the music is spot on! I love everything about this~! 💕
I remember seeing a preview of this stage ~5 years ago I think, and was always curious how this stage would turn out. Thanks for finally satisfying that curiosity =) PS. It looks phenomenal!
My God! This gives me nostalgia from when I got the notification of the DKC 4 Team showing this level! Epic level and I'm happy to see it in it's full glory!
@@camilingcr5459 other than the somewhat repetitive and generic synthwave sections/layers, this mostly reminds me a lot of Into The Breach OST, but with some HD concrete SFX and token SNES sounds (percussion and guitar lead synth) sprinkled in to trick someone into thinking it sounds like SNES music.
It's a level based on a city and yet none of the rat enemies were used? It fits the level theme better than most enemies. I know these enemies act as obstacles, but it's so weird seeing pirates and army Kremlings in a city themed level... I mean, Klump with a yellow helmet and a tweaked belt would work wonders here! I know it's a fan project, but since they are going the extra mile making new songs and scenery, why not give some of the Kremlings a new coat of paint too? Amazing work on the project, by the way
You're right, the mouse is an enemy that suits this level very well, but when this level was designed, it served as a "testing area" for physics and gameplay, so much so that it was discontinued, but its suggestions would certainly be great for the final version of this level

I still think a city setting would've been perfect for a DKC game, and I'm shocked how only one of the GameBoy games explored that.
Man this music, just pure mastery.
It's wild to see assets from all 3 games in one level
Anybody else besides me enjoying the music of this game. I like how dark and foreboding the music is to really highlight the atmosphere

Seeing a stage like this really tells me how creative and true to the spirit of the originals this really is.

I will accept this as the official Dkc 4.
The Kongs have left the jungles, temples n mines and have ventured into the urban arena
It's so inspiring to see this project go from the start to where it is now.
Amo todo el concepto de este nivel, la música, el escenario, la dificultad. Me encanta que tiene toda la escencia de una ciudad no entera
Around 2:30 you can see a stage from Mortal Kombat 3
Plus, the traffic lights from The Death and Return of Superman. I want to take a guess that the city in the background was supposed to be Old Detroit or Delta City from the genesis version of Robocop vs The Terminator.
I think the traffic lights are pulled from dkc2 rickety race/target terror
Aham yeah

Uma obra de arte. A música composta pelo Rodrigo Boechat também é muito bonita.
the music sounds like a blend of hornet hole and krevice keepers

What a interesting concept, I wonder ¿What happen in the konkreto city to be almost in ruins?
Looks like 'New Donk City' was just getting started on being nearly done and built in this level.
I love the design of that level unlike the levels seen in donkey kong country this was the one i liked the most
Unbelievable! The music blows me away.
Love how it looks like 90s NYC
Man I just love how this tries to capture the vibes of all 3 DKC in a single game
I loved every part of the level, The music is incredible and also the gameplay , I feel the design could improve, but that's the last thing to detail.
I can't wait to see the full version of this amazing game!

The Kongs made a trip in Brooklyn!!
I need this as a full game! Incredible
This level makes me think of the original donkey Kong land
I loved this so much!
I'd totally fund this game
The music sounds like it could have been an early version of Fear Factory
This game would cure me
I remember this other city level that had really unique Kremlings, like a jackhammer one.
Keep adding more videos of DKC 4 to see how is the new game just like the others 3 OK.
I have some more materials that I made for the project and I plan to show them
Cement? Das KONGKRETE BAYBEE
Again, I would love if the music sounded less modern. I wouldn’t mind trying to remake the track(s) featured in a more SNES-accurate fashion myself!

Magnificent, but i miss the first kongkreto stage and his original song.

The Kongs in Konkreto= Planet of Kongs in New York. Or this is New Donk City in 1997? 😃😃😃🤩🤩🤩🌭🌭🌭
Anyone know if this game is built in such a way that it could run on a real-life SNES? Either way, it is amazing to see this game :D
Unfortunately no, the game is not compatible with the SNES, as its entire architecture was made for PC
