- From far above the Earth's surface, mysterious spheres of electromagnetic plasma rain down across the globe. Every impact causes massive power surges, destroying electrical systems, collapsing communication networks, and reducing anyone hit by a fiery sphere to a pile of ash. A small group of survivors led by a pair of sci-fi obsessed video store clerks must use their fanatical knowledge of the genre to ride out the chaos and find a way to save the earth. If you have a mental age above your shoe size, this movie is laughable. Don't get me wrong it tries. But the biggest name is the worst actor from Heroes, or maybe second worst has been a long time..

Love the acting, excellent one-liners, and good story flow; there was a bit of confusion about the motive of the guy who wanted to take over the bunker. It's not a real reason, but it needed a villain.

With the rest of the low budget looking scenes, I think that van actually gave them problems when starting. It looked like he was actually turning the key, and he was actually frustrated.

ill give this movie a 9/10 it is really good and i recommend people to watch it
Ang tatalino po at ang gagaling po ng mga DIRECTOR. Ginagawa po nila ang mga Movie po na ito para po bigyan tayo ng babala at paalala.dahil nakaka awa po ang mga TAO po sa Ating Mundo po At sa Ating Daigdig po.
Ever since hindi po ako nagagandahan sa Movie, bagkos naaawa po ako at umiiyak po ako,dahil buhay po ng mga TAO ang pinag uusapan po dito.
The movie was brilliant even it had some serious lol moments. At the end " what are you going to do? I'm gonna go watch a movie 🎬 " just to funny. Their movies references from The Mummy to Star Wars, to funny. Great humour, overall the movie I think takes you away from the rubbish that's going on in the world for a moment. Obviously never heard of a Faraday Cage. A car is an almost perfect one for protection fin electromagnetic storms. In fact earthing the van with the copper wire would make it dangerous.

Just watched it for a second time - brilliant! It’s much easier to ignore dodgy science when you know they’re not being entirely serious 😂😂 & you know what? In a few weeks I’ll probably watch it again! 😃
12:55 Do NOT put tin foil on your battery when the contacts are exposed (or at all).
The exposed contacts and/or wiring will short with the tin foil.
Also, tin foil does not protect against EMP, since the wiring of the car will still connect.
If you want to protect a battery , disconnect it completely and store in a faraday cage.
Alternately, instead of usng a battery, you can use any other 12V power supply to start
you car's main engine, if it has enough power. A handheld generator can do that.
For people with a survival fetish, use a diesel engine that only needs fuel, air and compression
to run. Deeper still, having a very low first gear can help push or pull the diesel engine to start
provided there's no fuel break that needs power to open. A diesel will run if there's fuel and air
going into the cylinder after the cylinder head compresses this until combustion.
(some people thinking that they know a lot about cars will say otherwise, ignore.)
(what they say only holds true, if there's electronics and/or spark plugs and/or fuel break involved.)
Needless to say that electric cars can only be kept safe if the garage has/is a farady cage as a whole.
Also, the newer brushless electric engines need fine electronics and thus are more susceptible.
Old brushed electric engines may yet work, if they need only a power source, which oddly
can be a handheld diesel generator.
