You probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would love any help you can give me
@Elias Bobby thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@@joyusachoobarb Yeah, the mixdown can be hell. Arrangement is fun as you have the core loop down and you don't have to worry about the mix too much. It's a nice sweet spot to be in where you can just play, and for someone link me who is mostly in the box, you get to tweak some knobs!
So appreciative of these videos man. A whole load of people who wouldn't produce or would be intimidated to do so may start making techno and beyond cause of these. Thank you
Man, after watching two of your dub techno pattern vids, skimming and skipping some parts to get a quick grasp and watch this vid later at some point, I have to say, you're making this dub techno stuff pretty look way easier than I thought, coupled with a couple other channels I've been following. Zero music theory, barely any mixing, yet I'm making dub techno, slowly, like it's nothing. Definitely gonna be kicking that sub button
I just discovered your channel and I can't thank you enough. After watching all your vids I have learned so much. You literally unlocked worlds of techno possibilities for me.
Thank you so much. Recently I've been forced to sell all of my hardware stuff, and without you I don't know if I could brought myself to start producing in Live again. Those videos mean so much to me.
I really appreciate youre stuff yan! I watch all youre video's and they are really helpfull even as a beginning producer. Keep them coming mister cook!
Brilliant tutorials Yan, Ive been using Acid pro for years and have just switched over to ableton recently, out of the many tutorials that ive watched yours have stood out the most, You have made what seems like a lot of hard tasks become so much easier with your quality production skills shining through in your videos. Your workflow alone is superb to me but this current video has given me the tools to move forward. Thanks man. Yours in Techno Flynn.
Excellent video, Been stuck in 8 bar loop mode and really struggle with arrangement's or should i say it scares me, the way you then sculpted the track was great to see..thanks
I’m never going to get tired of entering these videos to say how amazing they are ❤️ Thanks for sharing your process Yan, so organized, insightful, clean and cool af 👏🏻✌🏼
Thank you for these incredible tutorials! I started mixing and focusing on techno properly after a few visits to Berlin, and wanting that music back home in NZ, where it's rare to have darker hypnotic techno. I'm getting the production bug and finally having it feel achievable and understandable thanks mainly to how fucking awesome your tutorials are!!
Great tutorial I like the sculpture till I'm satisfied, never thought of it that thank you. Please keep going these videos are very very helpful. Big fan as well, thank you again.
Some producers are painters, starting from a blank canvas. Yan, you are a sculptor, and a damn fine one at that. Great to see you chipping away at the block you created. So inspiring :-)
Great video Yan! Hopefully it will prove to those that struggle with structure that it is not rocket science! I see so many people get stuck on arrangement (I used to be one of them), but you show very clearly how it's actually quite simple. In fact, I use to use your tracks as my reference tracks and it helped me realise this for myself and help my track structure a lot!
I prefer to extend the clips and use and automatisation with the mute of an utility to preserve the same clip and if I change something in the pattern the change will be done in all the song
Awesome video, a little tip though. Don't have the orange surround and maximise the screen real estate to just ableton. You will save people from squinting on laptops and smartphones to read the tiny lettering on the DAW.
Please please please create a Masterclass/Skillshare course on start to finish techno!!! I took Andrew Huang's but wished it was more techno-focused. Your tutorials are my future. So much love and respect Yan, thank you.
This is what I was looking for since ever 😅! Thank you so much man! Suuuuper usefull! Just one question from a beginner producer: That feeling to hear the track a little "empty" or "boring" (which often happens to my tracks) could be normal before the mastering?
Whenever I do the subtraction method it winds up sounding too boxy.. :/ I do pull things over bars etc but things still sound abrupt, and predictable. Possibly it’s cause I mostly record in audio? 🤔
Do you do this for all of your tracks? Ive always preffered to build up the track piece by piece for start to finish, it takes a bit more time but i can get more creative. I will try it like this! Great video!
I agree with you here but I think it's the same principle as with scale theory. Learn the principles, study and implement them well, once you've got them down forget you ever learnt em and be free to bend and break rules to your hearts content.
Really cool tune. The percussion is really well done. Honestly it sounds unfinished to me considering there aren’t any fills or edits to speak of, but I understand this is Techno. If I played with your stems it would be a lot more complex sounding.
soundcloud.com/neuraltech/neural-tech-void-them-all-electro-house-mix As you can see, my work is extremely busy. Not saying that’s necessarily better than something minimal, just backing up my claim is all...
I've said it once, and I'll say it again - JESUS CHRIST YAN THAT IS SOME QUALITY CONTENT RIGHT HERE.
I second that. :)
Life moves pretty fast! If you don't stop and look once in a while, you will miss it

@Elias Bobby It worked and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my account :D
That video shows very well how we are complicating things unnecessarily.
Our boy Yan Cook comin through with these extremely high-quality tutorials.
This is where most of us get stuck I assume
I stuck the most at mixing. Arranging is okay since I start most of my tracks with the drop and the breakdown
true
You get stuck at this part? This the fun part, the actual mixing is where shit gets hard

exactly
I'm here with my notepad taking more notes than I ever took in college. Once again, cheers Yan
So appreciative of these videos man. A whole load of people who wouldn't produce or would be intimidated to do so may start making techno and beyond cause of these. Thank you
you always choose exactly what I need at the moment with the subject of the video
Reassuring to me that I've basically been following this formula in the music I've been making subconsciously. Thanks for the tutorial, subscribed
yeah I also did it just like that and was wondering if I'm on the right track
we are now witnessing the future of ableton tutorials

Arrangement is where I've been stuck for a long time. I can't thank you enough for sharing this.
the fact you have under 100k subs is beyond surprising. thank you so much for this content!
I just discovered your channel and I can't thank you enough. After watching all your vids I have learned so much. You literally unlocked worlds of techno possibilities for me.
the way you simplified all this . . . Genius. Thank you.
I love this idea of "sculpting", thank you for the lesson and inspiration!
I like how you approach it from a hands on perspective. Yeah this works.
You are one of my absolute favorite producers. Thank you so much for teaching us how to create quality music
it's very house-feeling, beautiful sounding w the reverb
Thank you so much. Recently I've been forced to sell all of my hardware stuff, and without you I don't know if I could brought myself to start producing in Live again. Those videos mean so much to me.
this really helps understanding phrasing for djing, i now understand the structure of a track so hopefully this helps with my mixing
The sculpting is brilliant. Many, many thanks for that ❤️

Simplicity at itS finest... cheers 🍀
damn, until today i didn't even know one of my favorite Techno acts has a quality YT Channel aswell. damn good.
So quick!! I need to get out of the loops sooner I think and just get a structure down
Great tutorial I like the sculpture till I'm satisfied, never thought of it that thank you. Please keep going these videos are very very helpful. Big fan as well, thank you again.
This was perfect, exactly what i was looking for, overview of how to put tracks together without making the sounds. Thanks!

This information is gold. Thanks for sharing along with an amazing tutorial

Best video ever. Finally iam understand how to compose techno track. Thank you 😍

Much appreciated Yan! Always bringing valuable content that we can actually use.
fantastic tutorial from a fantastic guy. What about some tutorial with an external synth? You are the best anyway 💪🏻
Yan you're a beast
Thank you. Love your music and didnt know you are making Tutorials ❤️ big help
Efficient and powerfull !! Many thanks for this content. I ❤ ur techno !
Nice one. Got 100's of 16/32 bar songs. Going to try this on some of them.
So brilliant. Pretty much started binge watching the minute I found this channel. ((:
I was looking for something like this for Techno since 2012🤦🤦🤦🤦Finally!!! Tx ;)
Subscribed👍👍🤜🤛
Each of your tips are precious. This method works very well. Thank you so much !
Awesome video, a little tip though. Don't have the orange surround and maximise the screen real estate to just ableton. You will save people from squinting on laptops and smartphones to read the tiny lettering on the DAW.
Im learning so much with ur content. Thx a lot !

Fantastic- this stuff is great
Great and thank's a lot for sharing this cool stuff
Please please please create a Masterclass/Skillshare course on start to finish techno!!! I took Andrew Huang's but wished it was more techno-focused. Your tutorials are my future. So much love and respect Yan, thank you.
Helping get the knowledge out there!
Very nice, keep it up
It's said that the arrangement has to be full of patterns, instead even if the patterns are few, the build up make a beautiful song.
This is what I was looking for since ever 😅!
Thank you so much man! Suuuuper usefull!
Just one question from a beginner producer:
That feeling to hear the track a little "empty" or "boring" (which often happens to my tracks) could be normal before the mastering?
Any mastering won't fix a boring track 😁
@@YanCook Yes, i'm learning that by watching your videos, finally 😁 I had a completely wrong concept in my mind
Would be nice to see some videos about live, how to setup, how properly transfer your tracks to live project etc
Thank you! Simple and helpful!
OMG! simple and nice.
Whenever I do the subtraction method it winds up sounding too boxy.. :/ I do pull things over bars etc but things still sound abrupt, and predictable. Possibly it’s cause I mostly record in audio? 🤔
Thank you so much for what you're doing! I love your stuff!
Brilliant tutorial man. Simples 🙂🤷♂️
I like what you've been putting out
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks man
Really interesting to see.
Discovered your channel today, you have some really good content and love your sound.
Keep up the good work.
Next video mixing ? Great content as usual
Banging tune. Brilliant.
The fact that (at least apparently) you do all this without listening to it as you're making changes is insane to me.
I do listen, of course, over and over again :) it's just for the video I did it fast and without listening, because I remember the structure.
Of course he was listening although I wondered the same thing at first.. 😉
Yes Chef!!! Thank you once again Yan.
Its ya boy Yan!
nice...simple the best
Wow, that's an interesting way of doing it. Nice 😏
You just taught me techno. Thanks.

used to be arranged via mixer mutes, drum machine pattern changes and riding faders backindadayz. How times have changed.
Really cool tune. The percussion is really well done.
Honestly it sounds unfinished to me considering there aren’t any fills or edits to speak of, but I understand this is Techno.
