Hey man good video, I notice on all your fish you don't give up any drag. If you back your drag down so the fish can take off line when he makes a run I promise you won't lost any. They won't break your line. Look at it as a video game. 10 power will break your line so set the drag around 6 or 7. Just trying to help. My uncle fish with me and I have the drag set right for him and everytime he hook a nice fish that takes a little bit of drag he will panic and grab the spool. Soon as he does SNAP goes the line.
Hey glad you didn't take my comment as a offense. I was worried and almost didn't post. I just had to explain this to my sister n laws boyfriend. I use to make the same mistake. An older guy showed me and its a game changer. If you are on Tiktok I post a video showing the perfect way to set and test your drag pull. It's tiktok donnellholmes350 it's about a 1 minute video and it's shows how to grab and test it. I would grab right above the reel. You need to grab at your bait to pull test just like the fish will have it. I had to drop my boat off last week. Hope to get it back today. One day this week I'm coming down to South Port. If my center console now finished I'm going to fort fisher on my jon boat. Good luck man and be safe. If you ever want a really good day. Take your boat up to Morehead City and man it's like ABC WIDEWORLD OF SPORTS. Unbelievable how good the fishing is. Fish port wall catch 14 in black seabass you will be in the inlet and the water is 48-60 deep. The inlet is over a mile wide and Bonita, trout,drum, amber Jack's everything right there less than 1 mile off beach. Morehead sets so much farther in the Ocean it's near the gulf stream. You won't be sorry. You will only spend gas in your truck pulling your boat up there. You will fish all day and won't spend 5 bucks in gas on the boat. Once you put in you are right in the heat of the action.
With sheep head it don't matter what you do you gonna lose some it's their mouth it's full of hard plates and teeth and on the big drum there's tons of structure so you can't let em take a bunch of line out and run back to the hole it's better to lock it down and not let em take any. I catch big drum all the time in structure like this in these same areas and you can't let em take any line or you are screwed
