The "8:30 TO SILVERTON" is the third program of The Incredible Journey series. Five years in the making, this beautiful presentation covers the journey from Durango to Silverton of engine number 482, through summer and fall. You will also see the railroad's other engines - 473, 476, 478, 480, and 481 - as they work the Silverton line as double-headers, freight trains, work trains and a photographers special excursion. In the high country, the green of summer changes to the yellow, orange and red of fall. The San Juan Mountains come alive with color as the scene is set for an incredible railroad adventure.

This is a childhood core memory I never thought I would find back, thank you so much for uploading this. I’ve been searching for years
I used to watch this every day before school, you could say I was obsessed 🤣
My dream vacation. This was fabulous. Wouldn't it be just pure joy, go to Durango and after a days rest, get some cheap burgers at McDonald's, put them in your pack, and ride the train to Silverton. Spend a few days in Silverton, getting a full look at the shops and businesses. A real treat would be if they had a fountain pen shop. Then ride the train back to Durango. There no need to go all around the world. We have it all, right here.
I've been looking for this for 15 years and now I get to see it again. Thank you so much for uploading this!
Hey, no problem! I didn't know you haven't watched it for awhile now.
Thank you so much for uploading this. I've had this vhs tape since 1995 when i got it in durango at the train depot gift shop. I was 6 years old at the time and this was the best train ride i have ever taken. This has brought back so many good childhood memories for me. Thank you so much.
