Thanks for the video. I got the same unit and arrived today. When I open the box first thing I notice it was different from all the RUclips videos. I immediately thought, "how the heck I'm I going to mount this if I can take off the display" I appreciate the confidence your video provided to tackle this tomorrow morning.
That extra plug on the radio is for the preamp in the previous stereo, not needed for an atoto s8 premium 7 inch or 10 inch , and the stereo wheel controls , 1 wire is need to make it work , but you have to use the atoto stereo on steering wheel control settings to program to make it work.
Thanks for the video Steve. I have a 2005 CRV and just picked up the Atoto 7" f7 model. It fits really well but I do like the idea of the 10" size screen. Since youve had it for a couple weeks any regrets buying the 10" and having it stick out like that vs a 7" that would look almost OEM? Also did you end up routing the USB wire by the driver floor like you mentioned? I'm trying to deciding between the floor like you said or in the compartment just below the vents.
I love it and now regrets with the bigger screen, people who get in my car have to think thice if the car came with the radio because it looks oem. I ended up routing the usb down on near the gas pedal on the side side of the unit, I didnt want to cut into any of the plastic .

Mine is the fortuner 2018. This video helped a lot because our clearance is about the same. Thanks
The middle compartment has a plate that opens up. That is where I routed my usb cable using a usb extension.
