Super hyped for this. I get it for free, I love playing cheap decks, I love the A37B, and i love wacky decks. I think both decks will become my respective main for NATO/PACT
The infantry tab feels really bare compared to the 24th infantry division. I think they should either add the new mp squad or move it to this division.
I noticed that in this division almost every unit has the reservist trait but in the Rügener Gruppierung division even the "Reservisten" units didn't have the reservist trait, kinda weird. Almost like the devs trying to say, "The American are a bunch of cowards who run away and can't fight, but in East Germany even the reservists are badass" lol.
@@underpaidmook So the Americans are really presented as the "weaklings" in this game lol. Is there some lore behind it? Like in this alternative cold war scenario the Americans really didn't wanted to fight or something like the French in WW2?
Well pre gulf war NG was also a lot worse than post gulf war NG and you can bring them with 1 vet unlike other units with that trait like kda. And in the end it's for gameplay variety too.
@@sd_leagueI think it really is more for gameplay than having a basis in reality. National guard units would have likely been better trained than most Soviet regulars. But it gives variety and makes them easier to spam without being over powered
Im gonna be honest this div looks absolutely terrible, you are basically forced to only take national guard units in every tab which are just too bad to really consider in anything above playing against AI bots.
well they also all come with a discount, I dont think it will be that bad. People are too used to top tier, expensive stuff, this here is all about cost efficency and cheap combined arms and it does that pretty well.
@@sd_league Yeah I've had a lot of luck with M60s and T-62s. They just have to be used efficiently with infantry and fire-support to take out better tanks.
People still seem kinda stuck in the WGRD mindset of either having a single T-80UD or a dozen T-34. Perhaps my favorite change with Warno is that they're trying to make mid-level or more left field stuff like this as viable as the 82nd or 3rd. It's so refreshing to actually see Wachschutzen, US NG and French air force base security being used like in an actual war instead of just Tier 1 Golden Elite Super T-1000M4MS special OP prototypes. If you want UD's you need to make do with very weak infantry subpar IFV's. People complain about the low number of nations currently in game but the variation in playstyle for the ones we do have are so much better pound for pound than in WGRD. @@sd_league
@@sd_league i agree with the discounted units being a plus, the issue is the trait nullifies it to a large degree in my opinion. Especially when plenty of people bring decks with really decent inf, 8th, 11e, 82nd etc, even if you can spam then with inf all they really need to do is lock down a mid point location with forward deploy or just play a bit more defensive and the entire deck basically falls apart. The AA tab is def the best in that div, id place it around mid tier since it still has the NG units, however the i hawks are a big plus. I did have the same opinion originally about the 24th and they turned out to be really decent, but mainly because of the most variety in non NG units: we will see how this deck does tho.
just use MP, they can come with 1 vet and have discount, its really cheap combined arms that can be used around the battlefield. Test it before you call doom.
@@x0331xeven the Recon has the trait, if I insert it advanced it is eliminated by any other recon unit, how can you deploy it with an MP unit? the only interesting thing, the Dragonfly, has HP 6 or 8 (I don't remember) so any AA system eliminates it easily. already above its own lines. unplayable deck. you may also have a good air section, but if they wipe me out on the ground what's the point? ok to have challenging decks, they're fun, but this one is just useless. I want to see how many will use it in PvP.
Horrible one. I guess I'll skip the next patch. The only way to play this deck is to spam HORDES of cheap tanks and hueys. Reccie jet is a nice addition, but overall - not competitive at all.
why only the Americans have entire Divisions of reservists with the Trait? no other division, neither NATO nor the Pact, has this "Specialty".... only the Americans have reservists who want to escape if there is no MP? it's ridiculous. maybe it's the classic inferiority complex that the French have towards the Americans, who saved their ass twice. This division could also be Fun without the trait, I really want to see the Recon used which will inevitably be pulverized immediately, I really want to see how many will use it in PvP.
@@robertomorelli4861 Because national guards are reserves. The USSR typically have their divisions half manned during peacetime and have conscript fill in the rest. In other words, USSR rarely have all reservists vs US which have professional and reservists separated between the army and national guards.
So the 35th infantry division is based off of a NG unit so it’s not vintage Vietnam. During this period in the late 80s the NG would have had a lot of the had me down vehicles that would been upgraded versions from the Vietnam era.
@@sd_league It does of course. There isn’t too much difference between NG and the full time army equipment nowadays. NG pretty much get the same vehicles active duty has.
@@sd_league Being former Army Eugen has done a pretty good job at giving each unit the variety of equipment they would have had access to 1989. It’s a pretty accurate representation aside from the air forces.
having new unit models is always welcome since Eugen hasn't allowed modders to use custom models

Both these divisions look so good.
90 point M60s are incredible
Been having fun playing the funny under-equipped divisions. This looks really good.
Idk if it just fits but my play style but I was pleasantly surprised that 35th is so good
Me too actually. I won the majority of games with it without practicing beforehand. I struggle a lot against heave armored divs tho.
@@NiklasGrebe-jk3bm the tanks are not as good as a t-55 imo, they sort of lose cohesion quickly since you can’t keep any mp units around them reliably
This patch is going to be nuts! love it
I love ppl complaining. I remember them saying that 119 is useless while Tmanplays use it successfully in 1v1s, lol. I guess skill issues.
I find it strange that the larger MP squads are not in this division, considering that it's a pure NG division
Stuff like the MP Leader and Military Police
Yeah that not being present feels really weird, especially given how the infantry tab feels surprisingly sparse all things considered
The infantry tab feels really bare compared to the 24th infantry division. I think they should either add the new mp squad or move it to this division.
Also six M109s is crazy
The M60s are crazy good
Did they get some Ukrainians to help them model the M60A3 (TTS) ERA? Because it looks like it!
When does this come out?
tuesday next week
