That means for every newborn put up for adoption there are anywhere from 30 to 40 families willing to adopt it. Those children aren't going into foster care. If welfare goes up so be it. Exactly! It’s unfortunate that Republicans are trying to make abortion illegal. There’s no point in having laws that work against self-interest. As someone who is conservative, I believe abortion is effective in reducing the population of those more likely to vote for liberal policies. The demographics that tend to support them are significantly more likely to get abortions, which has had an impact on various communities and continues to do so today. In fact, the Democrats might have been stronger if abortion had not been widely available, so I don’t fully understand their strong support for it. Wrong! Keyboard warrior.
Under 18 U.S.C. 1111, murder is defined as the “unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought.” Whether murder will be filed as a federal crime always depends on where and who was killed. Further, murder is a federal crime if it violates federal law or happens while violating federal law.

If a new mom murders her baby in the crib, she will not be charged with murder federally. This is effectively what pro-lifers see abortion as, if I understand them correctly.
On further reflection, it would be more like hiring a doctor to murder her baby in the crib, and if that doctor works somewhere that receives federal funds, perhaps the argument could be made...

If there are no numbers to your assertion, then it really does not mean anything. Also, with the numbers, make sure it is official government agency numbers, not some interest/lobbying/thinktank group. Lastly, if the numbers are in the couple of thousands (which I assume it is probably not even that high), then this is a triage issue.
