the insurance adjuster : your car was hit by a what?
THAT we've never heard of.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
priceless
Eagleman Insurance adjuster: Sorry but your insurance doesn't cover hail damage.
thank goodness it was a parked car with nobody in it. This just reminds me of Con Air and one of the inmates fell from the plane. The car he landed on had a couple in it driving down a busy street. (That's all I going to say about that movie b/c I don't want to ruin it anymore than I already have.) Good movie.
😂😂😂.
That’s why I always look up the sky looking for tires 😅
You better start looking for blue ice too! 😅
My and my family are always grasping at the clouds that look like the Michelin man. Now I going have to rethink this.
This isn’t a boeing problem this is a maintenance problem. Especially given the age of the plane and all of the issues all being tied to united
You are so correct. The 777 hasn't had any issues due to faulty engineering. I'm getting tired of news outlets automatically assuming that if it is a Boeing, it's that company's fault, not the engine manufacturer or airline,
3rd boeing in 2 months to lose a wheel, not a boeing problem huh?
Nope! It's Boeing fault. Why would we hold the airline accountable? Because they hired a mechanic/maintenance crew? We must point the blame at others to go after. I would even go a step further and blame Firestone.
@@disguiseddv8ant486 Nah, we should go after whoever got the oil to make the rubber for the tires.
Maybe blame the country of origin and the workers who worked to bring the oil upup
You must work for Boeing (and the FAA)
An aircraft been in service for 22 years, sure, blame the manufacturer. *roll eyes*
They literally blamed maintenance at 7:20. Who's blaming the manufacturer here, other than pointing out that the company has a terrible track record for safety?

@@jaafersa The former pilot is blaming UAL, the news anchor wants to blame Boeing.

Boeing is not responsible for a tire coming off. This is a United Airlines problem.
*Just saying: It may depend where was the breakage! On first blush you may be correct. - Until we know for sure that only the wheel came off and not the break assembly or some other attachment, that's floating in San Francisco Bay*
@@thomasfarrow7053this isn't a particularly new aircraft; if it was a production issue, it should've manifested much sooner.
This is a united problem. Some maintenance guy is getting fired
If it happened due to a part problem, it is more likely to be boeing's fault
@nishyanthkumar but parts are new and probably has gone through extreme cost saving processes at this point
As a retired airline pilot myself, I can really appreciate this Captain's patients answering this woman's scaterbrain questions and commentary on all things Boeing!

In fairness, this woman's doing as well as she can with whatever little to zero details she had but what she saw in real time on her screen. You can't reasonably expect her to be an aviation expert. I think she did fine. End of conversation.
Mechanic: "so THAT's what the lug nuts are for"!!!
Yes I'm sure that's exactly what happened!
Mechanics previous job was on Boeing 737 production line. :)
News reporter trying to fill air time asking primitive questions😂
It's her seat, her job - she's not the EP - to talk about whatever is ongoing. Also, most of her audience is primitive. So there's that too.
Why are you referring to Boeing issues on this This is United Airlines maintenance not Boeing!,,
Exactly
I agree. When I worked at American Airlines as an A&P, the planes were getting new tires almost Bi-weekly. Definitely NOT a Boeing issue. I can change an aircraft tire in my sleep. I never in all my years had one fall off. This is a maintenance screw up most likely. We got to wait for the report to come out on this one.
*Just saying: It may depend where was the breakage! On first blush you may be correct. - Until we know for sure that only the wheel came off and not the break assembly or some other attachment, that's floating in San Francisco Bay*
Tu fais l'enquête avant l'enquête du NTSB merci
Love how the reporter gets a real answer from the expert and then summarizes it again but wrong.
MSM always has own regurgitation parrots
Yes to repeat wrongly for my audience who don't (actually do) understand. I'd prefer to just hear the expert talk for 10mins about what he is seeing.
A tire? Do you mean a *wheel?* Tires don't just fall off from airplane wheels unless blown and completely shredded. Someone please explain to this reporter what the difference is, with some luck they might even have seen tires and wheels on cars already.
This was a 22 year old Boeing 777. You can’t reasonably argue that this was a manufacturing issue. What has been happening to Boeing the past few months is completely irrelevant here.
Yup! It's the older version to which the 200 series. A guy named Kevin that does live plane spotting caught the landing on his channel AVL as UA#35 touched down on runway 25Left.

Some cars were damaged by meteorites but no info about insurance paying for that
The 777 has 6 tires on each main landing gear. Calm down. The media needs to get over itself and just report the facts, not editorialize about Boeing's problems.
Not a tire, but a whole wheel, that is, a tire on a rim.
I was going to say the same thing. Why do so many insist on calling it a"tire"?

When was it? I’m watching LA Flights live
That's because the entire wheel and tire did depart the aircraft.

Could u imagine guy who was fired from his job he says whats the worst that could happen tires falls on him 😂 dang
Large commercial planes have many, many tires. Similar to a 18 wheeler truck. They loose a tire 🛞 on occassion and drive without an issue.
So unless it was the front nose tire a commericial plane should be just fine
Wheel went Boeing🏀
😂
My rear tire flew off, once, while driving, I could tell because I saw it pass me on the left side at higher speed. Lucky no injuries. I had travelled about 250 miles after the tires had been replaced. So ask the last tech that worked on it. My experience is a wheel should not fall off unless it was left loose.
Tire went "Boeing... Boeing... Boeing"
"That's the last time we bring this plane to Goodyear".
Remarkable how ignorant the media are about simple technology like the difference between a tire and a wheel.
This Asian news host said; Jay-Pan! She definitely, from Taiwan. Not sure Chinese! 😂
From a former 777 and MD11 production manager, thank you for trying to be clear that this is a maintenance issue and NOT a Boeing issue. That is an older 777 with thousands of takeoffs and landings. The focus, as you questioned, should be on the last team to handle that wheel and tire. When it’s time to change a tire, for timelines, the entire wheel is changed out with a new tire on it. That should be the focus of the story. Since this is a Boeing aircraft, everything is over engineered for safety. This should never have happened but, if it does, the other 5 wheels can easily hold the weight on landing as we witnessed.
This week, United airlines forgot to unite a ton of their parts 😭
How is that DEI working out?
What is DEI?
racist clown
Technically, it is a wheel, not just a tire.
damaged car owner: my car crashed by a airplane tyre.

The good news is the doors didn't fall off & nobody got sucked out. Losing an Entire Wheel & Tire is Not Critical unless it falls on a motorist or a residential home. Some United Airlines Maintenance technician & inspector will lose their job over this Blunder. Wheels just don't fall off of these birds it's unheard of.
Crazy incident! Glad the landing was safe. Thanks for the coverage Kevin!
Captain's report: "I start rolling down the runway and the left rear wheel falls off, it falls OFF, it falls the FU€K OFF. Apparently during training the mechanic was sick on LUGNUT day...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It didn't lose a "tire" it lost a wheel, there is a difference... A tire is jut the rubber part, the whole thing is the wheel, and as a bonus, a wheel without the tire is the "rim". Thought this was common knowledge, but I guess not with news anchors.
If I found that an airplane tire landed on my car, I would immediately go and get a lottery ticket.
I found an F-35 in my rear garden.
LOL: "Only this aircraft, ONLY this time" ... But ALWAYS the same carrier! United's mechanics are notoriously negligent. WHY???
Boeings greed is getting out of hand
It was a 22 year old aircraft. You can’t reasonably argue that this was a manufacturing issue.
@@JayJayAviation other aircraft manufacturers have many of their aircraft over 22 years old and they don't have the problems Boeing is having recently, not to mention 22 years is not unexpected usage for an aircraft, in fact not even close. Not to mention Boeing and companies it owns does do some maintenance on these aircraft.
@@Alex-cw3rz that’s incorrect. This sort of thing has happened to Airbus aircraft many times, even last year.
And I’m not saying I EXPECT these things to happen with older planes, I’m saying your finger-poining is severely misdirected.
Boeing doesn’t do United’s maintenance.
The plane did not just lose a tyre, it lost the whole wheel which includes both the tyre and rim . Tyres are the black rubber bits and the rim is the metal bit in the middle.
We now have a Osha problem with that maintenance worker standing illegally on the top rung of that ladder live on t.v.!🤣🤣🤣🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀
Engine issues yesterday in Houston and a lost tire today? United is obviously skimping on maintenance.
The so-called journalists of today are so poor at reporting and ignorant about the basic difference between a wheel and a tire. They are just so inept at their jobs and their level of education shows when they cannot distinguish the difference on such a fundamental thing of daily life. When a TIRE is mounted on a RIM, it then become a WHEEL. So many different news agencies have referred to this object as a Tire instead of a Wheel. If the Tire had somehow come of the Rim and fallen off as the aircraft had just become airborne, then "Tire" would have been the correct thing to say. This present generation of 'journalists' are hopeless and borderline illiterate.
Why can people not understand the difference between a wheel and a tire
Uh ... does anyone have a 130 ton jack that I can borrow?
As long as the people working on the planes are diverse
Not only the tire, but the wheel too!
She's talking out her ass, the issue with the boeing 737 Max has nothing to do with Boeing in general.
Yes it does, it indicates a dysfunctional corporate culture though this does not necessarily have anything to do with this particular incident.
United has major problems with maintenance. Losing door panel, engines on fire, and dropping a wheel on take off. All in a short span of time. On the brightside their issues are diverse, same as their mandated workforce.
People be blaming Boeing and DEI. I like how everybody becomes an aviation expert whenever there's an incident. But these are the people who have difficulty finding the baggage claim at the airport.
These are the people who start drinking as soon as they arrive at the airport at 7AM.
Bela Lugosi used to say there's no such thing as bad advertising ironically is the cup half empty or half full. A wheel did fall off but the plane did land successfully without the wheel. I would say it's a pretty good airplane with a bad wheel bearing. They should have heat sensors on all those Wheels every time those planes land just have them built into the Hub
