@@__-my3qz Well, not really, as there is still the auto-generate button which builds a general template with the fitting name, so 1940 Medium USA tanks have the Sherman as generic template and name, and the 1934 light tanks from N-Z still have the Bob Semple as base template. If anything, you can build the Bob Semple with even more glorious innovations, like cannons instead of machine guns.

Re: offer peace, it would be kinda fun if you could have a partial surrender and include the defendant as a member of the peace conference. Give them a modest amount of warscore to 'annex' the land they get to keep.
But this is PDX and HoI4, so we'll probably just get a Zimbabwe focus tree expansion instead of anything cool.
An africa flavor pack would be lit, ofc there will be 20 and each cost 10 dollars and have less focuses than the default tree. On second thought a rt56 Africa flavor pack would be great.

I feel like the soviets become kind of ridiculously strong by 1940 if they do the historical focuses because they seem to get an absolutely massive amount of factories from annexing the baltic states now.

First time I played New Zealand, I managed to deploy like maybe 7 sub-par divisions, became independent, joined China against Japan, and then sent all my divisions to China.
They all got intercepted and died before they could even reach a port :D

It's been a few patches ago, but I used to just rush subs with NZ and destroy the IJN transports causing their efforts to fail utterly (0 transports). Pretty much all of my manpower went into manning subs. I retired a few older models towards the end to build a couple divisions of marines to grab ports in mainland japan and even got a solo capitulation once.

I expect you know this but...Custom Country rules also work in ironman ahistorical as long as you pick default or whatever the historical is. Useful for some achievement runs and a more "sensible" world war.
