Bond, Shaft & Kojak together. Niven & Gould hamming it up. A sexy dance from Stephanie Powers & Claudia Cardinale looking sultry with a machine gun. What's not to like ?
Didn't Kojak ever have a desk job? Lots of awesome "kills" in this one. Nice variety too... something for every taste, thanks to amazing stunt work. Those falls from rooftops and explosion reaction stunts were nice. I don't know how much stuntmen were paid, but it couldn't have been enough. If it was as high as the body count though, I guess they did ok.

Interesting notes, the director on this movie was George p. Cosmatos who later directed Rambo: first blood part 2 with Sylvester Stallone in 1985. Roger Moore appeared in this the same year with his James bond movie moonraker
+frodoringbearer Many thanks :-) At the time I put this clip together I was on a "warning" from RUclips and was restricted to videos no longer than 15 minutes, so I had to miss that scene out. As you can see, I just made it!
Wouldn't that be embarrassing afterwards? What could you tell your children after you came back from the pow camp? "Papa, how did you get captured? I was in a whorehouse about to shoot my load and a hooker pulled a gun on me and handcuffed me and locked me in the basement with another horny dude." It boggles the mind.
How I wish I could be one of these soldiers at 1:36! We guys are so imposing and neat! We polished our helmets and tall leather boots as usual, clenched our rifles and ready to carry out any command. We seem invincible and must feel very proud at the moment! :-)
If ever there was a case of heading for a fall it's this firing squad! They think they have the upper hand but an almighty shock lies just around the corner for all of them!

When we stood there as firing squad, we're just proud and excited about the imposing of our team. We raised the rifle and aimed at the prisoner, then we only need to gently pull the trigger when we hear the order. But as we concentrate waiting for the order, the damn accident appeared! We didn't have time to react, and almost immediately felt a sharp pain in our chest - the bloody bullet had already gotten into it! No, we don't want to die! Do we have any way to avoid death?

We also want to hold on after the injury, like the enemy. We used to think that as an elite SS soldier of the Reich, we can certainly do this. But now we can't beat it at all, it's so hurts! We have to screaming, flailing arms and kick legs, trying to escape death in horror. The prisoner who was supposed to be executed by us was running away, but we can’t manage it anymore. Our strength quickly drained from the wound, and we fell to the ground and dying struggle in despair. The rifle we dropped was next to us, but we couldn’t catch it anymore. The only hope is that our comrades can defeat the enemy, and perhaps save us from death.

First: let me hear some applause for you for keeping it under 15:00 minutes!!! There were some familiar scenes, but worth watching all over and over again. So many hot shootings. And not to forget the occasional smile. The shooting at the square was so great to watch. There was mister Telly again. What is a war movie without him? New I think. It's a miracle how you find time to work with all these editing. Thank you!

And they made the German Army appear as idiots, throwing themselves into the line of fire as if they wanted to be mown down in droves, whereas in reality they had the best soldiers in the world at the time and it took the combined efforts of much of the rest of the world to wear them down. But I have to admit I do like the old 'shoot 'em up' WW2 war movies - even the silly ones. They're more comic book adventures than historical fact :-)

Parade steps from 1:35 to 1:48 are really precise and hot to watch. I guess it's best to look good on your last day. So many targets beggin for it in one small place. Firing squad guys get a taste of their own in the market place. The only thing left in the market after the shoot out is freshly butchered meat. I liked the way some of them wore suspenders on the outside of their coats (the sentry at 10:10). What better place to enter hell than through a monastery?

I like this movie. It's serious, funny and action-packed. Never saw it before and has good acting I think with Telly, Roger Moore, R. Roundtree...
It's definitely a comedy film and it amazes me some people, unlike yourself, can't see that. It's great fun!
