Omg Beth Your Writing is so Strong and So Relatable. You can actually feel every single emotion. The journey that you carry your fans on that is your life is a Beautiful one because unlike most we've at some point or another been traveling the same road and have walked a mile or 2 in those same shoes. It's so hard for some people to understand Depression or Mental Health issues unless they have experienced it first hand I know all to well the pain. This song is beautifully crafted. I love the softness of the melody and how it almost never seems to sound angry even though the words and music can get angry in the lines with the swear words, it still isn't very harsh. The rest of the time it is soft and delicate and hurt. I'm not used to this side of your music, it is much more vulnerable, but I really like it. The character must have been pretty destroyed in this relationship.
Don't know how you do it time after time. But you do, and we're better for it.
I've been obsessed with Crescent City since the day after the first book came out, but I reread both books just last week. I love this song so much. I'm guessing this song is about the (somewhat) end of book 1?

I wish I didn't have to worry whether one of the new songs was going to have bad language in it or not. Seems like all of the songs used to be clean but now it's becoming more frequent that they swear. Not trying to hate. Obviously each person gets to express themselves in their own way. I'm just sad that I will have to be moving on from this music because the bad language is becoming more frequent. I used to always be excited for a new song to come out but now I'm a lot less likely to listen to them because I've fallen in love with some of the songs only to hear an obscenity half way through. I know some people don't see language as a problem and I know Beth is free to write her songs however she sees fit. I just wish there was a clean version of all of them so that I could also continue to enjoy the music she works so hard to put out.
While I do understand where you're coming from, I don't see what youre talking about. Beth has like 3 songs that have a swear word in them and this is the only recent one.

This is the first time I heard Beth swear in a song and now I'm lost between whether I should stay for good melodies and lyrics or leave because of swearing. It sucks. This artist won't be the same for me anymore.

@@kimnash9775 yes, we are. Lyrics are still words, sentences, and us "clean" people can stand swears irl, but not in music. Music is something that's supposed to be beautiful, not corrupted.

The book it's based on practically has an f bomb every second word,since it's an adult book, so the song fits the vibe of the book and the main character that's why it has them. I think to take them out would kind of defeat the purpose
