I love songs done this way with a cool shuffle groove and played with thumb and finger.Yet it still has subtleties like starting on the 'and' of a beat and the 2nd beats on the 4th and 5th frets being dampened to only allow the F# to be heard and again starting on the up beat for the D and A chord shapes with rests at the end of each of those chords. It took me a while, but I eventually worked out how to play softly with my fingers and then JJ Cale's magic started to happen. Thank you so much Jon for doing these lessons so well!
Good breakdown! Amazing how many "teachers" get it wrong. Love the accent on the weak beats, just like the song. Put a wah-wah/slide on top and it's a classic! Thank you!

Hello , Jon Clennan..love the tutorial and the absolute honest gentle spirit in which you come across. Song suggestions..possibly some Canadian groups ie the stampeders ..or april wine..chilliwack..ian thomas..foot in cold water..if familiar with canadian bands, you ll know a lot of them really rock..if not familiar..treat yourself to some really cool music..look foreward to seeing you learn us out here some of that . Love your channel
Thanks Jon, someone finally gets it right and accurate to JJ Cale’s version Not sure if you have done it already but After Midnight would be a great follow-up. Most of the tutorials on YT are based on Clapton’s version-which is great as well. Cheers👍👍
Yes! another JJ Cale song. thank you so much there are not many tutorials for his song. Can i PLLLLEASE request the electric guitar version (original) of John Mayer - Something like Olivia. There are so many Acoustic versions but not the electric guitar version.
More JJ Cale = More better
Always great lessons thanks mate

Hello. I'd like it if you would do more Beatles's lessons for beginners, especially from the White Album.
Thank you.

Thanks Jon. Any chance of you teaching I Smell Smoke by Johnny Winter? Thanks
Hi Jon, great choice and lesson as always. What about a lesson on the slide solo?
Glad you liked it! I definitely want to add more slide lessons so I’ll keep this one in mind!
Nice , would love some of the solo embellishments.
👏👏👏👏from Italy
That's the strangest finger pattern I've ever seem. What possible advantage do you get from that weird position?
Nice, what Tele is that? Looks like a roasted maple neck, is it?
Yup it's an american professional with the roasted neck.
This doesn't sound correct. The last note of the intro riff on the 5th string sounds like it should be a higher note.
JJ never used a capo
this video is HORRIBLE, we cant see where you put your fingers
Your Mom doesn’t know where to put your fingers
