These videos are BEST experienced with headphones as I spend a decent amount of time on audio presentation. It's great to be back with some lore! I am excited to start up this new series. Every topic I choose to cover I strongly believe will present information that will only enhance your BG3 experience, so subscribe for more! Shooting for a video every Sunday but I am sure I will miss a few. 🐺 Become a Member - ruclips.net/channel/UCi3RdvCWYMzdF-iUgG_0xLQjoin 🔴 Patreon - www.patreon.com/WolfheartFPS 🔵 Discord (free) - discord.gg/4GyD7ZR GOG Link - af.gog.com/partner/Wolfheartfps?as=1676346721 NOTE* Any game purchased even if not on my personal GOG partner page will support the channel (up to 7 days after clicking the link) Socials - Follow my Twitter - twitter.com/wolfheartfps Instagram - instagram.com/wolfheartfps
Could you put this video and the following into a playlist to better keep up with the upcoming uploads especially? this was exactly what I was looking for since I never got to play the first 2 games and most "What happened b4 BG3" videos leave out most of the details and don't really immerse you into the world.
I much appreciate you doing this series, it'll help fill in the gaps for myself and others who don't know all of the lore surrounding the most relevant things in BG3. Much love.
Audio quality is great! As someone who loves Divinity Original Sin 2 but has never played BG before I really WANT to love and be excited about this game. I'm still not sure if the world and lore here is "accessible" enough for me, but I'm sure this series will help!
Thanks a lot! There's definitely a lot of history in the Forgotten Realms, but the good thing is that Larian is setting BG3 up to where it's a not a requirement to know the lore. With that said, knowing bits and pieces of it I think will certainly make for a more immersive experience!
Really looking forward to this game being completed. I've been playing games, D&D, and reading countless novels set in the Forgotten Realms for about 35 years now.
This is exactly what I've been looking for, a complete guide to all the lore of bauldera gate 3 to enhance the experience. Not just summary and guides to the game. Thank you so much. 🎉❤
I appreciate this series as I was planning on watching your previous videos explaining the lore behind BG 1 & 2 from a year ago. Honestly, I was deciding whether to even play those games but realize I may not have the time commitment.
Usually I watch your videos on the speaker but today for some random reason I used headphones. Good job! The difference is acknowledgable, and video’s nicer to watch. Also, tank you for doing this series, I watch all your videos, but this one is what I’m most excited about. Keep up doing the good work 🦾
Im glad taht you doing this lore vids brother. Im a gamer like 30 years now but missed orignals from that time in the past so it's good to get to know the lore of this complex world:)
I was genuinely hyped that you might do these! I want to immerse myself into the world before BG3 but I'm already chock full of other fantasy lore. You da real MVP
Finally back to the campfire for some more lore! This type of content is what brought me to your channel in the first place. Thank you! Wolfpack, best pack.
Lore vids are what first brought me to this cgannel. Love the shorter, concise storytelling approach. I found that really easy to follow and can't wait for future lore!
Hell yeah, mate. Great backstory. I've been a Forgotten Realms fan since reading the Avatar trilogy when it was released, but loved this lore refresher. Cannot wait for the rest of them!
WolfheartFPS I would like to thank you for these lore videos. As a DM they help tremendously and as a BG fan it makes the wait for BG 3 worth it. Thank you sir.
I would love some lore videos on the Hells, vampire lore in Faerun and anything related to House of Hope (is she an entity? A minor deity? What did Raphael want from her in more practical terms? How about her sister?)
I appreciate this series for both preparing for BG3 and also for DMing as I’m planning on running a large campaign using books like Waterdeep Dragon Heist and Baldur’s Gate Decent into Avernus.
If you want to learn exactly what happened during the time of troubles check out these three novels; Shadowdale, Tantris and Waterdeep. It's the Time of Troubles Triogy and follows the party who puts an end to Bane, Myrkul and Baal. Well, for the time being anyways lol. Thanks for the vid Wolfheart. Was spot on. As an old fan who played through the time of troubles back in the AD&D days, this was very nice to watch.
These lore videos are awesome, thank you wolfheart, and also thank you for the quality audio! i listen to you on a very large high end vintage Tannoy system, and its very appreciated!!
Thank you for the video Wolfheart! I enjoy videos about lore in the Forgotten Realms a lot. I look forward to your next one! Also, I'm curious as to how the Dead Three got together with some mindflayers. I'm hoping that Larian does a good job in explaining how all of it fits together.
HYPE! Thank you for sharing this story and I look forward to more from this series. The Forgotten Realms has so much history to share and you are a great story teller with excellent delivery! Well done!
Love it, another lore video to delve into. I made a custom party so not to spoil the companion dialog and exploring with characters I normal would not play with. Been cool so far
I love this kind of videos :) Sadly I read this book for the first time yesterday haha damn. Will you read more of the books of baldurs gates games? or will you make me read them myself like a pleb!!!!! x) But thank you, you made me sit down and play Baldurs gate 1 now that I bought maby years ago haha.
Wonder how the Dark Urge will play into the story of these three, and if it's just Bhaal, or all three. If you go pure evil, do you end up taking all their power and becoming the new Jergal... or are you Jergal reborn, come back for his power?
Fun fact. Selune's Tears are the result of a weapon created by the oldest Faerun civilization. The ancient dragon empire. Fired to end a great threat to it. The weapon worked just fine. They just... Missed.
I've been playing BG:EET modded and have been trying to read more of the books throughout this playthrough of both games.....I think I might prefer it this way :)....I'll keep a look out for others you do till release. Thanks!
Solid vid man. Some good stuff. Really looking forward to the next few months and upcoming lore video's. If you ever hear of how to create a 4 person custom party on mac please be sure to post it!! Appreciate you work brother yer rolling 20's!
Thanks! Alright if I get any info on that I will let you know. On the games official release there should be a native way to create a custom party, so hopefully you won’t have to worry about that

@@Lofrek Yup I will start a new lore playlist once I get the second video out for it.
By the way you’re gonna want to look into Withers
Man, naming your kids Bane, Bhaal and Myrkul is just asking for trouble
Ban, ball, a mUrkle
I thought his name was Ball lol
I much appreciate you doing this series, it'll help fill in the gaps for myself and others who don't know all of the lore surrounding the most relevant things in BG3. Much love.
Thanks for watching 🙏
Check out mrrhex he has the best dnd lore videos I've ever seen.
I love withers so much more now
Solving problems by bowling and throwing dice? This feels like a fictionalized version of a group's campaign.
The Bone Throne is what my wife calls me when she's in the mood
#respect
Pun of this like is destined to be in every video mentioning The Bone Throne
Glory for those, stepping into The Bone Zone! 💪
As a newcomer to both DND and CRPGs, your videos have really helped me enjoy Baldur’s Gate 3 way more than I would have otherwise. Thank you!!
hey! Thanks a lot for that. Happy to help.
Him: Jergal
My brain: Gerbil
I'm so glad that this series exists. Baldur's Gate has such a fascinating world. It's hard to keep up with everything in it sometimes.
Audio quality is great!

any of the books ud reccomend?
Been sick for a week, this video made my day better. It took my mind off my explosive diarrhea. Thanks, Wolf!!
Comments like this make me thankful for the job I get to do. Always glad to assist with explosive diarrhea.
"A book thats in possession of a mage.." Love it! Excellent production.. more please! 🐺
😂😂 🙏
Is that the mage you find beneath the Iron Mines of Nashkel?
You see him first in the Candlekeep Inn, and then later you’ll meet him in Beregost, where I believe you get the book in question
Love when you make these Lore videos can't wait for more!
As someone new to BG as a whole, I greatly appreciate this!
Cheers
Same.❤
This is exactly what I've been looking for, a complete guide to all the lore of bauldera gate 3 to enhance the experience. Not just summary and guides to the game. Thank you so much. 🎉❤
Thanks!
BRIAN thank you
I appreciate this series as I was planning on watching your previous videos explaining the lore behind BG 1 & 2 from a year ago. Honestly, I was deciding whether to even play those games but realize I may not have the time commitment.
Loved the sound effects you added to the story! Really shows how much effort you put into these videos!
Usually I watch your videos on the speaker but today for some random reason I used headphones. Good job! The difference is acknowledgable, and video’s nicer to watch. Just wanted to mention that there are the Enhanced Editions of BG 1 & 2. Well worth a playthrough even now.
7:07 the thunder strike got me there
Every little bit of additional information helps.
Thank you for this information.
I was genuinely hyped that you might do these!
I want to immerse myself into the world before BG3 but I'm already chock full of other fantasy lore.
You da real MVP
Really enjoyed this video. Great to see you’re trying out new content formats. Looking forward to seeing your BG1 and BG2 summary videos.
Thanks! It’s actually not a new content format, I just haven’t done many like this over the past year or so. Cheers
Amazing! Best video since that huge video with the summary of one of the DnD campaigns.
Siiiccckkk.
Subbed and belled 🤙🤙
Thanks much
Finally back to the campfire for some more lore! This type of content is what brought me to your channel in the first place. Thank you! Wolfpack, best pack.
We have returned to the peaceful fire. Thanks Wiz
Lore vids are what first brought me to this cgannel. Love the shorter, concise storytelling approach. I found that really easy to follow and can't wait for future lore!
Appreciate the feedback Michael!
Absolutely love it. Great stuff. Looking forward to more!
🙏 🍻
That was very good Wolf! Very succinct and thorough at the same time.
Read the wiki for them today and this is just that. But I love the reading, brings life to it!
Imagine bowling to be a god.Wild.
Hell yeah, mate. Great backstory. I've been a Forgotten Realms fan since reading the Avatar trilogy when it was released, but loved this lore refresher. Cannot wait for the rest of them!
OK this one is even better :)
The books set in the time of troubles staring Cyric, Midnight (new Mystra), and Kelemvore were really good.
The Vaati Vidya of Baldurs Gate 3 content
Vaati puts me to shame but since you thought of him when watching my content I feel honored
Thank you for your videos.
Thanks for watching!
Keep it coming champ, can't wait to see what you got for us to watch next episode.
Will do thanks!
WolfheartFPS I would like to thank you for these lore videos. As a DM they help tremendously and as a BG fan it makes the wait for BG 3 worth it. Thank you sir.
Love to hear it! Thanks
Yes! These will be perfect while working my way through Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 and the upcoming release of BG3!
Oh hell yeah. Exactly the right choice of content at exactly the right time
This is really good editing! I am hyped for more!
Thanks!
bro this story alone brings chills to me, the game will be great

Thanks Tony. Great recommendation
Any advice on where to find these books?
Oh my gosh spoiler free content!!! I’m so excited
Thank you for the effort and obvious love you put into these videos. They are MUCH appreciated and marveled over.
Yes this is a well done video and appreciated. Look forward to more of these type videos.

Yep, this is what I was looking for, thank you so much.
This lore video was GREAT! Keep em coming!
Thanks. Hopefully one every Sunday
Not being a veteran of D&D I appreciate these vids. 🤘
Looking to get into D&D through BG3 so this is a great help, thanks!
Ah this lore is very insightful, can't wait for the next one
Now that it’s finally coming, I’m so happy for this playlist. THANK YOU.
Cheers
HYPE! Thank you for sharing this story and I look forward to more from this series. The Forgotten Realms has so much history to share and you are a great story teller with excellent delivery! Well done!
Yes it does. You could go to a 4 year university for D&D lore and still not know everything 😂 Thank you
Love it, another lore video to delve into. I made a custom party so not to spoil the companion dialog and exploring with characters I normal would not play with. Been cool so far
good idea!
Great stuff. Much of it I knew and had forgotten. Some of it I didn't know at all. This is perfect and I look forward to the rest of this series.
Bold claim that it's a must watch! If I'd not wanted to watch this I would've unsubbed. But turns out I really like this video, thanks! Happy Easter!
Yeoman service for Lorebards like myself! loving the sound quality. You can do Audiobooks Wolf!
YEEES !! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SERIES !!
It has arrived
I love this kind of videos :) Sadly I read this book for the first time yesterday haha damn. Will you read more of the books of baldurs gates games? or will you make me read them myself like a pleb!!!!! x) But thank you, you made me sit down and play Baldurs gate 1 now that I bought maby years ago haha.
Fantastic idea! Always nice to have some interesting lore :D
Awesome! I've been waiting for this. Looking forward to following it all.
Loved the video, definitely looking forward to more of these.
Thanks for watching Thanezz
Wonder how the Dark Urge will play into the story of these three, and if it's just Bhaal, or all three. If you go pure evil, do you end up taking all their power and becoming the new Jergal... or are you Jergal reborn, come back for his power?
Now when I hear some one refer to Angela Merkle as: "Merkle the Destroyer", It now has a lot more weight. At least for me xD
Fun fact. Selune's Tears are the result of a weapon created by the oldest Faerun civilization. The ancient dragon empire. Fired to end a great threat to it. The weapon worked just fine. They just... Missed.
Thanks Wolf, your videos help me out a lot and I can't wait till release.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching
Excellent, looking forward to the series!
This was an excellent video, can't wait for more
Cheers! Got one in the works for this Sunday
Love this series please keep doing it
Hooray, lore videos! That means release grows near 😄

So glad i found this playlist
This is sooo good, thank you very much!
Glad you like it!
I think I'll try to read this series of books again before official release. The Avatar trilogy was really awesome!
Love lore. Welcome back. :)
Such a good idea! I really enjoyed this video. I am looking forward to the upcoming videos as well.
Thank you Suzanne
Well done, and gj. the pvm, with clips and gameplay helps since I've never played any of them. Also did you build that fire in the video(?)
Brilliant lore and detail explained cant wait to experience bg3 thanks wolf 😎
Thanks Lcfc!
I Really enjoy Listening to this Video. Thank You Beloved Immortal Brother.
Thank you
Cozy storytime
Liking this series already
🙏
I always wanted to play a campaign set during the 'Time of Troubles.' That would be a good time.
I agree. At the start of the game there could be a gigantic storm where all the gods are cast down. Then it’s your mission to kill a few lol
Keep up the great work!
Great series. Really helps get pumped for the game.
Great video, always like your stuff man
Thank you

Thank you for the video!
Always liked Jergal. I have immense power but I am bored so whatever. He is like the character of Sir Terry Pratchett.
Great job Wolfheart! I think this series will be a really good lead-in to the Baldur's Gate 3 release.
🙏
Awesome... Love this type of content
awesome Wolf, thanks!!!
🙏
good timing for some BG lore
