Kynance Cove | Best Beach In Cornwall & England | Family Days Out

Join us as we visit the amazing Kynance Cove in Cornwall in England. Is this the best beach in England?
There is a lot of hype about this beach so we made sure we visited it when we stayed in Cornwall. Well we can tell you that it is owned by the National Trust, which itself does indicate that it is a palace of beauty. And we have to say we were not disappointed.
If you want crystal clear waters, and a beautiful sandy beach, then you have to visit the beach. Kynance Cove is situated approximately 2km away from Lizard Point, which is the most Southerly point of the UK. There is parking which is free to National Trust members or if you are not, you can pay via App or with cash.
But if you are paying with cash, make sure you allow yourself enough time. It is not a beach that you will just look at and leave. There are 2 separate paths that lead down to the beach, one takes with steps that takes about 10 minutes and another that is flatter (made for pushchairs and those not as able bodied) that takes about 15 minutes. So if you only pay for an hours parking you will not be able to enjoy the beach!
We stayed in Cornwall for 7 days and visited a variety of beaches, but Kynance Cove was the highlight. So amazed by it, that we actually went twice.
This beach has been seen on the cinema and big screen in many films such as:
And Then There Were None (2015) ...
The Thief of Bagdad (1940) ...
Aldilà (2011) ...
Nostalgia (IV) (2017) ...
Fox Mystery Theater (1984) ...
The Return of Sherlock Holmes (1986-1988) ...
The Saint (1962-1969)
So do not be surprised if it seems familiar.
But and there is a but, this beach can only be seen in it's full glory when the tide is out!, So if you plan on visiting please make sure you check the tide times, as you will be very disappointed if you get there only to find out that it cannot be seen.
When the tide is out though and if you can visit when it is sunny, be prepared for a day of swimming, kayaking, bodyboarding and cave exploring. If you do not feel like catching the suns rays or the sea, you can grab a bite to eat in the café that is located at the top of the beach at the cove entrance.
You can also go on amazing coastal walks and take in the amazing views of the other little coves and the of course look out over Lizard Point.
