To be honest I would not buy the Noir, for a extra $400 for a fancy cable and a tuning that could be done mostly with a nozzle filter.

This looks like a great set! Although the all black Pilgrim Noir version is also coming out soon darker bassier set I guess … so we’ll see how that compares although that’s going to be 800 beans I guess
You can get the same with a Tanchjim Oxygen filter, your just paying $400 more a cable.

Do you like the Pilgrim better than the sliivo slt6 ? Which has the most resolving, realistic tone/timbre?

that pentacon cable looks too much alike to mmcx, so it's a pass even with your engaging review, the tip for the short nozzles doesn't help neither...
for the 400-600$ budget for the moment I stil have in my list the Hype 4, The Mega5est and let's see what's going on with the Davinci's. And maybe considering the I/o Volare or the Sliivo SLT6 if I earn a little more.
Which do you prefer: Himalaya, me600, or pilgrim?
The Himalaya is the base, the me600 is the stage, and the pilgrim seems to stand out in the details.😮
Exactly correct 👌 I prefer to swing with my mood all 3 are always beside me, when not on tour to pick up depending on my perfered flavor of the moment.

How do it's work on a simple dongle like a Moondrop Dawn Pro?
It’s 9 ohms, so yes. The Dawn Pro is over 100 mW and is 4vrms. The Pilgrim scales well with more power.

Did you remove the stock filter before putting on the tanchim oxygen filter?
Nope and after some time it smoothed out so filter came off and stayed off, I also switched to a pure copper cable from Hakugei

It didn't replace the SLT6 probably my bad editing I never noticed 😅.
@@tonedeafmonk Great question on SLT6 & Himalaya comparisons. It sounds like Pilgrim fitment issue, Himalaya having to use the Simgot nozzle and the SLT6 recessed 2-pin all are some minor cons that the manufacturers created needlessly for otherwise great iems.

Do you mean pure copper only since spc is silver plated?
Not sure what you mean , I did switch out the STOCK stock cable to a Hakugei Lucky voice pure Copper Cable and that's where it stayed.

Himalaya because I love my Bass and MB even more and the modified version with Simgot nozzle crushes it for me. I honest switch between the ME600, Pilgrim, Himalaya, If I could only buy one the Himalaya hands down can't beat that cohesive single DD sound
I will have the Pilgrim in two days, thinking about the Himalaya also. I just got some Moondrop Kato nozzles and put it on my Simgot ea1000 and it could be my imagination but the bass seems boomer and everything else seems more smoother... Im digging it!
@MichaelJMalloy Graphing the Kato nozzels definitely gives both the EA1000 and the Himalaya a noticeable bass boost. The Himalaya is listened to daily by me I love that IEM
@@tonedeafmonk I tried the gold nozzle with a 500 mesh filter and got pretty much the same sound as the moondrop Kato nozzle except vocals feel more in my head which I like and the pure copper cable helps also.

Totally agree! But Project M, on my opinion have different tuning, it more neutral than Piligrim, and less bassy, Monk am I right?)
@@r.h.616 if Pilgrim is less bassy than Pula, sounds about same as Pr M
Bot are fairly neutral I would say, Project M would have been a great comparison, they are closer to the Pilgrim than the PA02, there are many comparisons I could have done but I did the pula mostly because a lot of talk saying the two sound the same and the extra $200 not worth it. That to my ears is not true .
@@tonedeafmonkPula being close to P or PM I doubt it whoever was suggesting that, if one is on the lookout for around 300, 350 you're looking at these 2 in particular I guess
What comparisons to the Project M would you make? I picked up the Project M on your recommendation and have never been so satisfied with what I'm hearing. Im curious whether you think the extra $100 of this set justifies any improvements/changes from the Project M@@tonedeafmonk
