Great review, Dave. I got the 64 Audio U4s ($1100 ) last month, which coincidentally has the exact same driver setup as the Pilgrim Noir-- one dynamic driver for the bass, two BAs for the mids, and one tubeless BA for the highs. So far, I like the U4s but am not blown away by them (much more impactful bass than my Thieaudio Monarch MKII, but the mids are not as good and detail retrieval is a step behind). I am very intrigued by the Pilgrim Noir, which has gotten other positive reviews.
I haven't heard the Pilgrim Noir since I reviewed it. If memory serves me correctly, the Oracle mk3 is a little more accurate staging, imaging and has better details and resolution. But I wasn't able to do a side by side comparison.
I've not heard the Pilgrim Noir since I reviewed it. If memory serves me correctly the Noir is a warmer sound with a smaller but deeper and more layered stage. The Estrella is slightly lighter in note weight and doesn't have as much bass impact.
Great review Dave…I can’t see the Noir costing twice as much as the OG Pilgrim. Elysian’s pricing structure is whako. They just proved it again with Noir.
The Eros S is a $300 cable. I wouldn't say it's snake oil. But it is expensive. I own several Effect Audio cables and enjoy them for how they're built, feel and the subtle improvements in sound. Thanks for the comment.
@@fiddlixjust like any branded/designer products like gucci, balenciaga and the like. Their pricing is outrageous but it os still up to the consumer who buys it and financial position. This is nothing new. You buy what you want or what you can afford
I guess these manufacturers are finding ways to market IEMs and Cable as a whole sound package...this is what happened with my Old Questyle QP2R focal edition that came in a set with a pair of Focal Cans.
As mentioned in the video, I haven't heard the OG Pilgrim. Also please note I haven't heard the Noir since the review and it has been over 3 months. If memory serves me correctly, the Oracle mkiii isn't as warm, has a little more clarity, is a little more forward in the uppers, stage is wider, deeper and overall is a little more neutral and analytical leaning.
@@TheHonestAudiophile thank you for the reply. I think, from research the choice is coming down to dita project m or the oracle mkiii... Look forward to the next review
Im tired of the boring black color scheme. Every IEM I like, seems to go for that discrete look. Regular Pilgrim looks better to me (and is much cheaper) but Noir has what I’m looking for sound-wise.

@@Coneman3 Bluntly and seriously, if you watched the first five seconds of this video and honestly are unclear what type of product is being reviewed (and I find it hard to believe that you are not trolling) you are on the wrong channel.
@coneman3 In my opinion, it's rather clear that it is an IEM aka In-Ear-Monitor or earphone. Thanks for your constructive criticism and I'll take your thought under consideration. Thanks for watching and commenting.
It's amazing you always comment on this channel and you don't like the reviewer. So why do you even come here at all if you just keep saying he's a shill? Is this really Sharur or one of his minions?
I've demoed both the original pilgrim and the noir, and I prefer the noir in every aspect. Whether it not I can justify the cost, it is the better iem.

Nice review, Dave! I hope you get a hold of the Pilgrim too!
Oh wow you are fast. The review that I have waiting for. Awesome thanks ❤
My pleasure, you're welcome.
Always enjoy your reviews. I love how you describe and explain the sound quality. Thank you Dave 😊
Thanks 🙏 Glad you enjoy the channel content.

Enjoyed this review and it sounds like you really enjoyed the Noir too!
I'm glad you enjoyed the review, thanks for watching.
Nice review !
Thanks 🙏
Thanks Dave, great review as always. Miss these now that you've cut back your schedule. Any plans for a Devinci review?
If a DaVinci is provided for review, I will gladly do one.
I will be doing a video review once a week going forward.
Thank you for the excellent detailed, honest review!

Interesting. I heard the U4s at Axpona but it was brief. I don't recall them enough to do fair comparison.
Nice Review! Though at this Price it looks like a long shot, I'm considering getting the Pilgrim Noir.
Look forward to hearing your impressions if you choose to purchase the Pilgrim Noir.
great review, thanks!
Dave is a good at shilling products!
My pleasure, you're welcome
Nice reviews as usual... 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks
Oh! This company is from Singapore?! Same home country here, will lookup this brand now... 👍👍
Great video. I thought this might be an improved Pilgrim, which is already getting raves. Have you heard both, and is it worth the upgrade?? Thanks.
As mentioned in the video, I haven't heard the original which is why I didn't compare them.
Thanks for the review. Seems like they're fun. I wonder why people view it as boring though, couldn't pick that up from your experience
I don't find them boring at all. Id guess it's because it doesn't have that elevated, vivid treble that a lot of people think is natural but it isn't.
Nice review, too expensive for me. But it seems like something I would like. The "I/O Volare" is much cheaper where I live.
Fair enough! The Volare is an excellent choice as well.
@@TheHonestAudiophile I have heard the "Noir" has more bass and warmer.
Good review! How would the Pilgrim compare to the Oracle mk3 in terms of soundstage, imaging, resolution and details?

Sorry, I haven't heard the original Pilgrim.

Snake oil mate. Lol

Really wish we can buy without the cable. I don't mind expensive cables but I just don't like this particular cable.
That would be a nice option. I totally understand.

Have a great weekend.
Well to be fair, the Eros S cable costs $300 by itself so...anyway.
Have a good weekend my friend. Enjoy the sunshine and the music.
True, as I can attest the cable I won Effects Ares retails at $400CAD …

Personally I like black or simple colors in IEM. But I think the reason the Noir is black because is goes with the sound and name.
Title of this video is so confusing. No idea what it’s about
