I use the RCF external mixer, same one Nick Spanelli uses. It’s a game changer, will never play without one now. So many benefits. I use an external for ceremony and reception
I've been using a audio mixer since the 90's when passive speakers and heavy amps were the norm and just continued into the powered speaker trend. My advice to all new DJs, never DJ without it.
Great mixer. I've used 2 different Yamaha mg10xu mixers and an mg06x since late 2016 for our acoustic duo type gigs. Great preamps to my ears and most importantly all three have been 100% reliable. Your MG10X (without the U) is a somewhat newer model without USB connectivity in case someone didn't know. Nice choice!
If you have the coin, go with a digital mixer. I use all three QSC TouchMix consoles with the added advantage of ringing out feedback and being able to walk around while making sound adjustments.
I use a Behringer Xeny X2442usb. Definitely makes the speakers sound better. Plus there's more than enough plug-ins for extra mics and other sources that may be needed. Allows for extra sound adjustment too.
You will always need a good mixer for redundancy purposes. I use an Allen and Heath 10 FX, excellent mixer for ANY DJ/POD/EVENTS. Thanks for the video!
I would suggest the Everse 8 for ceremony. I use it with the power adapter for wireless mic so that the speaker itself provides the receiver power. Use it with a combo receiver like Sennheiser XSW-D 835.
I have an Allen & Heath Zed 6FX. Tested vs that same Yamaha at my boy's crib and the difference was very noticeable. The A&H blew away the Yamaha. The Yamaha is no slouch though
That's the one I use...just without the effects...for my reception setup. The high pass filter and compressors on the mic channels are really great. I have the MG12 for ceremonies since I have more mics there. I have a mic for me in case I need to make announcements...like put your phones away, a wireless mic for the groom, one for the officiant, then I run two iPads...a primary and a backup, so I'm actually using lots of channels on the mixer. Plus I can accomodate a reader and musicians, which is very cool. It's a bigger setu
It’s a 10 Channel Mixer with 4 microphone inputs and 3 stereo channels. 10 all together.

That’s what’s up!

Good To Know!

Its actually 10 inputs.. 4 mic channels
Tight was thinking of another mixer during the live stream!
Need to make that setup battery powered the Bose s1 already has a battery, all you need is a portable power box.
Facts!!
10 = 10 channel :)
Yeah, I fumbled on the live but recovered well! 😂
I have a Yamaha MG12X best external mixer I can control my subs separate from my tops which gives a cleaner sound hands down
That’s 🔥🔥🔥!!
Won't dj without one makes your system sound a way better with one , also keeps you from destroying your speakers
No mutes? Thats my gripe with the Allen and Heath as well. Mutes are very helpful for what we do
Mackie mixer works best for me, and I used a Yamaha, a few Behringers, and an Alto
Looks like a 10 channel. Thanks for the video

Had know idea but I do now
You could have bought the behringer flow8 and powered it of a power bank and used the phone app to Eq the mix.
Whatever works
