Hey all! just wanted to take a moment to note that apparently something changed about slime spawning in 1.18. While previously you could make spawners (like the tutorial) to spawn slimes anywhere, now it seems they wont spawn unless you place the spawner in a slime chunk, or a slime spawning biome (like the swamp). I'm really not sure why this is, and maybe its just a bug for now, but the other spawners (zombie included) should still work fine. I'm still looking into this, but thought this was important to note.
I just made a custom irongolem but for some reason I can't/don't know how to make him hostile.Any ideas on how to do it? This is my current golem /summon iron_golem ~ ~ ~ {HasVisualFire:0b,Glowing:1b,CustomNameVisible:1b,CanPickUpLoot:0b,Health:200f,Tags:["enemy.iron_golem"],CustomName:'{"text":"Iron Golem [lvl 2]","color":"green"}',Attributes:[{Name:generic.max_health,Base:200},{Name:generic.movement_speed,Base:0.3},{Name:generic.attack_damage,Base:8},{Name:generic.attack_knockback,Base:156}]}
19:15 the change i hate most in minecraft ever made you cant spawn mobs with a spawner into light in vanilla this is a mapmaking killer imagine being a mapmaker where you use spawners to make mobs spawn into specific locations when the player gets close bam they dont spawn anymore 3000 and more broken spawners :) happy update BuT yOu CaN tElEpOrT tEhM is what the microsoft devs said when i called for support -> Solution make spawners have a option to enable spawning into daylight i could then just simply flick this for all spawners on...
Really awesome, question does the passenger die if u hit the mob or is there a command to make it unkillable but if the mob its ridden on dies it also dies?
Haha this is one of Minecraft's greatest mysteries. Technically the passenger does not die when the base mob is killed. A way to get around this is if its a one-time thing, you could have a command block on repeat checking for both your base mob and the passenger mob in a radius. Then, as soon as the base mob dies, the command block can send an output letting another command block know that now that the base mob is dead, kill the riding mob as well. It will take a bit of finagling, and I'm sure there are other ways to do it (like creating a scoreboard that kills mobs for you), but that's the basic premise.
@@MudkipNinja AHHHH ok thanks i can do the repeating thing, just didnt thought of it thanksss ,ur the best ,u also helped me with the custom trades thing with villagers and its successful thankss as always!!
Minecraft will default spawners to pig spawners if something was entered incorrectly or if it was just placed from the creative menu. I would mess around with MCStacker a bit and try just making a few spawners that spawn other mobs successfully before making custom ones.
@@panda6187 Huh that's strange! Something must've changed there as well. You're right, I pasted that back in my same world I made this tutorial in, and the spawner was for a pig instead. I reimported it through MCStacker then put it in my world again and it changed to slimes, but like I just posted in my pinned comment, it looks like slime spawners are kind of busted in 1.18 right now anyway. I'm sorry about that.

ohhhhh ok then
if i run the command it wont give me anything and without command block ther comes a message:"unkown item name".
I don't know if you said it but how do I get, for example, a skeleton to apply an effect when hitting the bow as poison or blindness.
You can put tipped arrows in the offhand of the skeleton. Then, you can apply whatever effects you want on the tipped arrow.

Very very true. That solution would be a godsend

Why is it a pig spawner?

@@MudkipNinja it’s making pig spawner for the slime spawner in paste bin though

@@MudkipNinja Okay thank you.
@@MudkipNinja I made one that was a chicken spawner but that didn’t seem to work,
why my slime not spawning ;-;
Hey it seems to be a change in 1.18; I just posted a pinned comment about it!
the spawner is spawning PIGS instead of slimes
and now the game is spawning the wrong slimes
