Maul hesitated because he recognized the darkness within her. I think he thought about turning her to the darkside taking her as an apprentice. But that would be an attack on Sidius due to the "rule of two". And since Sidius was watching he had no choice but to kill her.

Twi'leks are a hairless species of humanoids with only two headtails (Lekku) emerging from the back of their heads.
The woman in this film was a Togruta, which have a hollow crest atop their heads (its part of their skull, not a headdress) with two Lekku falling over their shoulders from the crest. You can be forgiven for mistaking one for the other. Anyone who hasn't gone deep into Star Wars lore and spent hours on Wookiepedia and other Star Wars-related media/content would find them easy to confuse.
The race that Ahsoka is from are called the togruta if I remember right. And yea that woman’s make up was done exceptionally well
He hesitated because he felt compassion but his master was watching through those droids. Hesitation is weakness, if there was another sniper or shooter hiding in the bushes that moment of hesitation would have led to her escape and his death
I dont think he felt compassion , mour like he felt the hate inside her and wanted to recruit her
I think maul did feel compassion maul probably saw her, similar to himself, a young acolyte educated against their will into separate orders. Maul knows jedi are taken from childhood to be jedi and she is a padawan around the same age as himself he knows she didn't even want to be there.
Disney should give his Star Wars film rights to this team, or at least hire them to continue.

Hey guys, I have to tell ya, this one and yer Logan reaction are an over and over watch for me. I rewatch this video all the time caus I’m a maul fan. And because I’m a muckelbee fan I rewatch this video at least once every other week.

Rasmus....I disagree on the hesitation. I feel the hesitation was from the fact that although he was raised from a child to be a Sith assassin he still had feelings a normal person has. Regret, remorse, and sympathy. But, he was being watched by his master. Maul looks at his master not only as a mentor, but a father figure as well. And Maul knows you can’t disappoint Palpatine. What we watched is the slow progression of Maul wiping away those emotions. His advance in the darkside. Like Anakin killing younglings, Mauls big trial was killing a young Jedi female he felt sorry for.

I can recommend an Italian fan movie on Sw, called Dark Resurrection. they are 2 medium-length films with a limited budget (less than $ 40,000 for 2 films) but have received the compliments of Lucasfilm. you can find both free on youtube. a third film is also in the works but they are still behind with crownfunding

Dark jedi the fan film, acting is a bit cheesy but choergraphy is the unmatched, not even by the clone wars tv show or any of the films

in one of the original cuts for this film, the jedi apprentice gets away, that was the whole reason they had the one jedi beserker survive the hole in his stomach to give her time to escape, sadly the cut where she survives has been lost. the director also always intended for the two apprentices to have their epic "duel" as it was a play on the title, Darth Maul being a apprentice and fighting another.
+ If she could get away the Sith would be revealed what did not happend earlier. So he tried to stay close to the lore as possible.
Great reaction guys I love this fan film myself as it showed maul the way he should have been portrayed by the star wars franchise but they destroyed him especially him being actually the best trained lightsaber sith in all of star wars the way George Lucas wrote him and btw he is also pretty strong in the force aswell was just stronger with lightsaber dueling which this fan film did a great job of showing

When the droids come and help Maul, and they said no sith plays fair, saying the droids are unfair play . The jedi were 5 V 1 AGAINST HIM, how is that fair? And maul killed them all haha loved the vid just thought id say that lol
So 3 droids helping maul for like 5 seconds isn't fair? But the 6 jedi including the first one he killed right away, all fighting him at once is fair? Anyway love the vids, just wanna bring that up!

Maul is awesome, but he is not the only SW character that has been poorly utilised.....
One of the best lightsaber combatants in star wars history that's what Darth Maul is but Disney destroyed his character and portrayed him poorly
