The two of you never fail to entertain when you are together. Doug's videos always show that. Thanks for a good vid, Doug. Joe, thinking of you and the loss of scout.
who else wants to see more of these colabs?? edit: you and joe are my inspiration and you guys are the reason i got out and started building my own shelter and making bushcraft videos! thanks!
I enjoy them. Shawn had a good idea - for you to go up to the Cabin and teach him to whittle. Perhaps a video showing more exchanges of knowledge would be fun.
I love a mixture of collabs and solo stuff. Most of the guys Dougie Trips with are great, and I love it when they doin stuff together, but it's awesome to break that up with solo adventures. I love how Dougie, Shawn and Joe all do that. As someone who loves my mates but also loves (and NEEDS haha) my alone time, it good to see these guys are the same way inclined :)
Mr Doug, I am absolutely mesmerized by the snow. The amount that you and Joe had to move in order to begin setting up camp is absolutely staggering. This type of camping necessity is totally beyond anything I will likely ever experience. Our heaters are no longer even needed here, and I have already reintroduce short pants and sleeveless shirts into my every day wardrobe. Being from Alabama, I can not imagine the challenge of camping in these conditions. I am from a completely different universe here in the south, and I salute your ability to thrive in such conditions. Thanks for allowing me to tag along.
You know who would be the perfect addition to this duo of entertaining campers? Who could fill the trifecta of entertaining, informative, and skillful to the point of making it even better than it is right now, and be the only one you could bring in who would really make everything click? You guessed it, Frank Stallone.
Great video. I've been stuck inside for mostl of February. Southern Alberta, where I live, set a new 50-year record for coldest month of February. The temperature hourly average was less than -20C for the entire month. We had many nights where it got below -35C. That's a little too dangerous for my taste. In those conditions it just takes one incident to find yourself in big trouble. An unexpected storm, spilling your fuel, hurting yourself, getting wet. Things that are normally manageable when it's just around freezing are much harder to deal with when it's extremely cold. I have some great hikes planned for this summer. I can't wait to start posting real hiking videos instead of gear reviews. Cheers.
I really enjoy both your's and Joe's channels so when the two of you do a collab, i put the space heater at my feet to simulate sitting next to a fire and enthusiastically press the play button. Thanks for all you put into it.
You two are the opposite of lazy - and no gloves while doing all that work! Amazing to watch and such great scenery. Thanks for sharing and God I love Canada.
The small behind the scenes shots and your humbling authenticity are what make your videos so great to watch. Thank you kindly for doing what you do for your audience Mr!
Refreshingly genuine funny stuff-thanks for keeping it light and real---Not like some over edited, disingenuous, make believe, role playing character acting thing- Peace!
This is best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Doug and Joe. ( Im seventy-one years old and I have watched every one of your videos more than once ....) Love love love ya'll. LMBO at the fast speed ...
I always love watching you to camping, fish, joking around with each other. I'm so addicted to all your vids Doug and Joe, keep them coming. Awesome wittle. Still sad about the loss of Scout. RIP buddy scout. Love you guys.
Awesome looking shelter. Love that little character you whittled out. He's so cute looking. Love when you and Joe go on camping trips together. You guys are so funny. Stay blessed.
Love the found wood carving. I spent the day at the beach the other day with the family and carved a nice chicken stick for my son. Keep up the great work Bud. Keep drinking Doug's coffee Joe and soon enough you'll be as wooly as he is!!
Nice carving of LIttle Joe! Nice shelter you guys constructed! Good to see the two of you have a good time together again, just like father and son - you are a good mentor to Joe.
The carving with wild wood is just beautiful. It’s like a live music concert. The little problems must be adjusted for and worked into the music. To me, it makes it so much better. Bought wood is so perfect, like a CD, the music is mixed and all little problems eliminated. Doug, you and Joe seem like friends, better than the sum of you alone added together. Your snow dig-out seemed to be an extraordinary amount of work, that paid off nicely. Drove across Canada one February to the Alcan Highway, on to Fairbanks. Snow through the mountains is so beautiful. We have wonderful memories of that adventure. Thanks for sharing you adventure. Texas
Great chemistry between you two Doug, always enjoy your outings and could see at the start there were going to be a lot of out-takes! Keep them coming if you have the time, I am sure many others feel the same way. Thanks for taking us along.
Loved the time lapse of the two of you digging the snow out. After a hard day at work I needed something to lift my spirits and make me chuckle. Thanks fella.
I love your vieos. Love these episodes with joe. Love the whittling. Doug you make it so relaxed... it's awesomely reenergizing soothing n give me belly aching laughs. Thanks for what you do
Doug, you are an amazing guy. Very kind of you to take care of Joe and help get his mind off his sorrows. I love you two together! My dad would have loved you guys too!

I like the homebase type of camping. I think it’s reflective of what most of us do when we get out in the bush for a weekend.
Love the fishing, cooking and carving! But this is a cool shelter there with Joe.
