- A slow day in the field is better than a good day at the office. It was great to get back in the layouts with two of my favorite hunting buddies. What made this hunt the most memorable was catching a mouse in the decoys as the sun was rising over the mountains.
This hunt took place nearlly a week after a fresh snow hit the front range of Colorado. Hunting the thaw makes for tough hunting conditions, but we still managed to finish a couple of groups.
Two days ago we crushed out a four-man limit of honkers in about 45 min and we got most of our limit out of two groups due to great shooting and epic rainouts! Here is a link to that hunt: • Four Man Limit in Fres...
Yesterday we hunted a field edge in an A-frame and shot 20 geese and 3 widgeon. Here is a link to that video: • Goose Hunting Field Ed...

Absolutely love your videos! Im 30 years old and live South of Denver. I have been dreaming of getting into the hunting scene.
Do you have any advice for a new hunter in the area? How to meet fellow hunters or just general starting tips? Really appreciate it!
Thanks! For the record it’s not a “scene” it’s the oldest way of life known to humankind lol. All you can do Is get out there and start to put it together! Finding a good mentor is a good start look to friends for that, otherwise fb pages are an option. I try to provide a lot of advice to get people started all the way through more advanced tips so you are in the right spot for content now you just need to put it to practice and learn!
I’ve got some of the divebomb silos and love em but how do you like those avian x lessers?
The avians are great not as big of a fan of the silos it seems like you need a ton to make them work amd the greaters seem to kick them out.
@@HoltzOutdoors okay appreciate the feedback! I had pretty good success this past season with the silos but yeah it does take several to make a good looking spread!
