I've tried a playthrough where I accidentally had all my people as pacifists (Didn't pay attention to their traits, oops). Didn't end well, they all got mauled by a single mad squirrel, and died from their wounds..
Yeah, that's pretty much how it goes haha. I wonder what it'd be like to use a faction mod to disable all hostile factions and mechanoids. I guess no more raids?

Had this game for over 2 years and I got 1658 hours in it. After 2 years it's still my favorite game and I still enjoy playing it due to replayability with all the mods out there. Even made a few myself. Best game ever, keep up the good work Tynan :D
It’s so addictive, but it’s so fucking hard. It sucks being a glutton for punishment. Getting hooked on this game is like getting the word MASOCHISTIC tattooed on your sternum. I lost an amazing colonist to Alzheimer’s disease. I didn’t realize I was so attached to her until I had to make her into a hat. :.( I actually cried. She was my right hand for hundreds of hours. The story telling in this game leaves so much of the narrative up to the player’s imagination. Great trailer. Truly one of the best games in both survival and colony building genres I’ve ever played and I’ve been playing these kinds of games for 20 years. Edited to put a tear in the sad face.
In my humble opinion, Rimworld is currently one of the pillars that make up the beautiful structure known as PC gaming. Congratulations on leaving early access!
Poor newcomers don't even know how truly terrifying the man hunting rabbit horde really is! I've got some 400 odd hours in this game. It is an amazing blend of strategy, building, survival, and a Rogue like random chance. Absolutely amazing game that has come so far and is well worth every penny! 12/10, no contest.
Just survived a swarm of manhunter Yorkshire terriers yesterday. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, and we were about to starve, so the extra meat was appreciated. XD
Tried to tame a boomalope, ended up being ganged up by a herd of boomalopes, the handler got swarmed, got burned by the flames after the boomalopes died of chain reaction explosion, and somehow, SOMEHOW, my handler survived, with no lasting scars. Loved this game, I proclaim.
I one had a pack of about 45-50 alphabeavers attack, I ended up needing to call aid... and dear god they just destroyed them, there were even 5-7 stragglers I had to deal with
So proud of you man. This has come such a long way. You deserve every ounce of praise and reward. With you since damn near the beginning and all I have to say is CONGRATS!!!
Holy crap Tynan! Congratulations! It's been quite a journey since kickstarting, and you've made it. The progress on Rimworld has been incredible. Thank you for all the work you've put into Rimworld over the years.
Thank you Tynan for your envolvement with the community and this amazing project you have delivered. I wish the best to you and hopefully we will see more from you in the future
Congratulations, Tynan! I was among the first few backers on Kickstarter back in the day. (We even talked few times.) It's just amazing to see how much RimWorld has grown. From simple yet interesting Alpha 0 with borrowed Prison Architect sprites to complex and unique game what we have now. Again, great job!
Congrats Tynan. You must be so proud we where it's come, Like if you think tynan should do a lets play of this game, talking about the development process as he goes.
As someone who has enjoyed Rimworld for over a year now and logged many many hours, thank you very much. Great concept and execution, great feedback and response from you and the player base, great mod community, etc. One of my absolute favorite single player games. Thank you!
What a journey. One of the greatest games ever made is finally released. Incredible work, Tynan. Considering how moddable this game is, it will be around for a long time.
Congratulations to everyone working so hard on this gem of gaming, you created something wonderful and unique. Thanks to all the modders, translators and everyone supporting the game through the development. Cheers to everybody who has sunken hours after hours into frustrating joy and exceptional fun of this masterpiece.
Easily the best strategy/simulation game I’ve ever played. Nearly 500 hours put into the game over the course of a year and I regret none of it. Rimworld’s greatest element is the variety. You can do so many things, tell so many stories, kill so many people, all in one game. You can choice to be a pacifist and befriend your neighbors, or you can decide to be a cannibalistic tribe and murder anyone who comes near. That’s the greatest thing about it. However, it honestly pales in comparison to the modding community. Never have I ever seen, nor will ever see again such a great modding community. There are countless mods that can either change minor details or rework the entire game. Just to lost a few, No Water No life, creates the need for water and other means of collecting water, Tiered Androids, adds another form of life into the game which cannot feel pain and doesn’t require sleep, and finally my favorite, Prepare Carefully, while seeming insignificant by allowing you to customize your characters thoroughly, this creates so many possibilities for you to create. You can create a god amoung men, or an absolutely useless piece of.. well you know. Anyway, I cannot recommend this game enough as if I were to describe how many things you can do I’d be here all day. Thanks for reading
I went through bullying in highschool and was betrayed by my crush who rejected me and banged my bullies to hurt me. This game help me through it, I can't believe a complex space colony management game can save me from suicide, this game also inspired me to be a Godot Game Developer and the reason I work as a Game Developer now. Thanks Ludeon Studios, you guys are the best.
Congratulations on the launch man. It's a fantastic game and I constantly find myself going back to it. Makes me so happy to see it reach a launch date as may early access games are in that purgatory forever. But you made it. I am so excited to see what the future holds. I'll probably keep at this game till the day I die.
Just a perfect trailer for this game! All the storytelling taking live! And this presentation of the game in his globality is greatly made! Thx you tynan Sylvester for this game!!

I'm so proud to have been playing this amazing game for over 2 years now. Practically brings me to tears to see it go to 1.0. I am absolutely certain that many more people will enjoy it just like I have.
Tynan, congratz on 1.0. Rimworld has come so far. I got the game originally way back in the day because of a youtuber by the name of Sips, and its been nothing but good times in Rimworld since. Truly one of the best games out there, Well done sir.
This game has given me so many great memories, so many heroic stories, and so many nights where I saw the sun rise. Thank you for all the hard work Tynan!
Awesome trailer! Congrats Tynan and the team. I've already enjoyed hundreds of hours of Rimworld since January 2015... And probably will enjoy more... :D
Tynan, I've been playing since around alpha 9, and I can't describe how proud and happy I am that you've come this far. You've made one of the best games ever made, and have been the defining example of how to do early access properly. I've infected my friends group with the addiction that is Rimworld, and there's genuinely nothing like it. Fucking well done man, and I can't wait to see what comes from you in the future.
Why would people do that? That's just lame and mutes out the people that genuinely didn't like it. That's just gaming the system unfairly. I think the game looks great and I'm probably gonna buy it, but stamping out actual negative reviews is for wankers.
@@mathewjensen6903 you are right of course, but the people you are calling wankers have euthanized prisoners and slaves because they didn’t want to feed them, harvested the organs and sold them to buy drugs for their murder terrier. I think being a wanker isn’t going to affect them much.
Congratulations on your work. It was a pleasure watching it grow since 2013 and, now that it's finally 1.0, it feels really good, even though I did nothing, just bought the game on Steam on sale. Hands down, best game I ever bought
Dont doubt thisa due to its visual appearance, the most brutal game you will ever play. the most randomized chaos ever!!!!!!!, great work tynan happy to of purchased and support you. look forward to more like this from you.....once this goes 1.0 soon =)
That was awesome! So inspiring and thrilling, makes me want to play it again right now haha. It's possibly one of the best trailers you could ever make that really encapsulates the vision and feel of Rimworld. I've been a part of your journey for awhile and I have to say it's been such a thrill ride! Rimworld is an amazingly gritty strategy survival game that I would encourage everyone to play it. Keep up the great work, you've finally released it and what a beautiful piece this is!
imagine Rimworld 2 online mmo, where every tile on the earth is claimable and players create colonies, band together to build a kingdom or war, we trade, world wide trade market, and choose mechanoid race and have separate quality of life items and food for it omg!
1:26 when the tone goes from funny to serious and the 'heroic trailer theme' kicks in is awesome. Especially the line "but there will be no escape today" is perfect.
Many, many congratulations to Tynan and team - this has been no small achievement, and a long time coming. Thank you so much for your hard work and determination in seeing this through. You have done a truly wonderful job!
I’ve just discovered this fascinating game and coming off the back of Death Stranding and Judgment Apocalypse Survival Simulator, 2 games I enjoyed immensely, I have to say I am in love with Rimworld. I initially thought it was inspired by Rimmerworld from Red Dwarf but of course I know so much more now. I am very attached to my original colonists and we try to stay vegetarian but winter is coming and I know it’s going to become tough and steak might just save their lives. They have a pet Yorkshire Terrier, a pet rabbit, a pet turkey, a pet pig and countless chickens. What an amazing game, I hope nothing bad happens to my colonists!
Elena better be damned useful. No manual labor puts her at risk for the "prisoner escape" program. Y'know, arrested, and then put in prison with the door "accidentally" left propped open. ;)
Did that to the pyromaniac sadist with bloodlust who killed 2 colonists... he came back with a raiding party... which was good since they took care of the manhunting yorksher terriers.
Congratulations Tynan on the release, we all appreciate all the hard work you did and sticking it out until you felt it was done. I'm looking forward to your next endeavor... well after you take a long deserved brake.

Rimworld is one hell of a drug
Fcking Luciferum
More addictive than yayo and flake combined*
THIS is how you do game development and early access right.
This is also how you do a trailer.
@@ChainedFei its also how you make a masterpiece.
Had this game for over 2 years and I got 1658 hours in it. After 2 years it's still my favorite game and I still enjoy playing it due to replayability with all the mods out there. Even made a few myself. Best game ever, keep up the good work Tynan :D
What mods did you make?
@@IC3DZOMBIE search L-mods in steam workshop collections. Only got 2 mods right now but more earlier. L-Slimes and Carcinoma spreads
When I finally launched the spaceship with everybody on board it felt like a real accomplishment!
The voice overs are superb! It's like a prelude to an entire Rimworld machinima. Fantastic work, Tynan!
The story goes long ways doesn't it
In my humble opinion, Rimworld is currently one of the pillars that make up the beautiful structure known as PC gaming.
XD
400 hours you gotta pump them numbers up, those are rookie numbers.
I think a swarm of manhunting muffalos is even more scary
I one had a pack of about 45-50 alphabeavers attack, I ended up needing to call aid... and dear god they just destroyed them, there were even 5-7 stragglers I had to deal with
So proud of you man. This has come such a long way. You deserve every ounce of praise and reward. With you since damn near the beginning and all I have to say is CONGRATS!!!
3 Years of playing this game, no regrets and I'm still loving and playing it even up to this day.
Goddamn, everyday all I think is about Rimworld
И настал этот день! Хочу выразить огромную благодарность разработчикам данной игры!!!
Holy crap Tynan! Congratulations! It's been quite a journey since kickstarting, and you've made it. The progress on Rimworld has been incredible. Thank you for all the work you've put into Rimworld over the years.
Cant even begin to explain how thankfull i am to Tynan for the many hours of fun i already had in Rimworld, and the many hours yet to come!
I love this game and the community that makes the mods Mods make the game more fun to play and enjoy
Thank you Tynan for your envolvement with the community and this amazing project you have delivered. I wish the best to you and hopefully we will see more from you in the future
"a rabbit went mad and literally killed my entire colony"
That's rw for ya
Non violent Colonists? they are some of the worst
HAHAHAHA!
This fills me with such joy.
Congrats Tynan and the Rimworld team. It's awesome.
Congratulations, Tynan!
I was among the first few backers on Kickstarter back in the day. (We even talked few times.)
It's just amazing to see how much RimWorld has grown. From simple yet interesting Alpha 0 with borrowed Prison Architect sprites to complex and unique game what we have now.
Again, great job!
Congrats Tynan. You must be so proud we where it's come,
Like if you think tynan should do a lets play of this game, talking about the development process as he goes.
As someone who has enjoyed Rimworld for over a year now and logged many many hours, thank you very much. Great concept and execution, great feedback and response from you and the player base, great mod community, etc.
One of my absolute favorite single player games. Thank you!
No Dislkes... Coz its such a wonderful game...
There are 3 now so :X
These a boomrats
Greg is still salty about the divorce... and now created 4 youtube accounts to dislike.
6 now
Might be those PUBG addicts... Have a Life Haters, like Us in Rimworld...
A rabbit went mad and killed the entire colony.
That is Rimworld right there
What a journey.
One one the first game i bought of just a website, it's great to see it first come to steam and now being launched for real.
Great work Tynan!
Watching this again after 200 hours and its such an amazing trailer.
A rabbit went mand and killed my entire colony LOL
I know the feel haha
I warned you. I warned you but did you listen to me? NO.
You deserve every dollar, every positive review, every 10/10 rating. One of the best, if not THE BEST, games in a generation!
Thanks Ludeon Studios, you guys are the best.
nice
After watching this I had +12 mood for the upcoming 20 days!
Congratulations!!!!! Finally official. Great video. For all the time I've already played, this brought tears to my eyes. Well done!
It's finally out. Absolutely fantastic work, Tynan.
Congrats to Tynan and Team and Thank you for creating one of my favorite games of all time! I cant wait to see what lay ahead for the future of Rimworld and any other projects you may come up with.
"hung out with his llama"
*is surrounded by a large amount of alpacas*
This game has given me so many great memories, so many heroic stories, and so many nights where I saw the sun rise. Thank you for all the hard work Tynan!
Been a long road tynan since A1. been fun. glad to see it fully released, cant say that for all the other EA games on steam now can we.
Keep coming back to this absolute Masterpiece!!
God bless the day I bought this game... I don't remember what happened the next week after buying it, but for sure it must have been fun!
Can relate
Awesome trailer! Congrats Tynan and the team. I've already enjoyed hundreds of hours of Rimworld since January 2015... And probably will enjoy more... :D
One day i will have a good PC so i can play this amazing game! ❤️
Don't worry I'm play completely fine on my cheap as laptop
It doesnt take a beast to run this one bro im sure whatever you get will handle this great, happy surviving mate.
"97 % positive reviews on steam"
99,9% of negative reviews were: "stop looking at negative reviews, this game is great, buy it"
Why would people do that?
This is a must
It might become an unfair game for every newcomer though.
1:26 when the tone goes from funny to serious and the 'heroic trailer theme' kicks in is awesome. Especially the line "but there will be no escape today" is perfect.
Best game of all time
yes ;)
2nd best, behind Factorio.
Congratulations Tynan i have been following since the beginning and am so happy to see rimworld come this far.
One of the best RPG Strategy games ever. Thousands upon thousands of hours in this game. Great community too.
This is awesome, I'm so glad after 4 years ish playing this game it finally reaches the 1.0 release !! Good job !
The social tab of one of my huskies:
Murderer: Sister, Niece, Aunt.
Many, many congratulations to Tynan and team - this has been no small achievement, and a long time coming. Thank you so much for your hard work and determination in seeing this through. You have done a truly wonderful job!
AW HELL YEAH! Finally, here we are, at 1.0!
Your colonists are dead arn't they
@@ChesterCheatin lmao
Elena better be damned useful. No manual labor puts her at risk for the "prisoner escape" program. Y'know, arrested, and then put in prison with the door "accidentally" left propped open. ;)
(also again grats to Tynan on releasing!)
Her 'assets' are probably what made recruitment so successful.
Jesus even in comments on RUclips I can find tips for rimworld. Thanks
Did that to the pyromaniac sadist with bloodlust who killed 2 colonists... he came back with a raiding party... which was good since they took care of the manhunting yorksher terriers.
We call that catch and release at the Rim World nature reserve. What else are the man hunting chinchillas supposed to eat?
Tynan, thanks for all the work you ahve put into this game. It has been amazing 3 years or so I've played this game.
0:48 I saw Elena holding Uzi
Congratulations on a full release Mr Sylvester! Amazing game from start to finish. Your book is great too :) Keep on the great work!
"For company we tamed turtles" is the best summary of my rimworld experience
Congratulations Tynan on the release, we all appreciate all the hard work you did and sticking it out until you felt it was done. I'm looking forward to your next endeavor... well after you take a long deserved brake.
