I always preferred this version over the official release mainly because of the last 10 seconds from 2:40 to 2:50. It adds something that I can't describe well other than just a feeling of calm intensity before the track comes back full force, which works.
This is how the song actually loops in game, the most popular extended version is a fan edit which is why every single other version of the song (weather it's a cover or not) uses the fan made loop instead of the oficial one.
I think that it's rather poetic that the same exchanged happened between Sam and Armstrong, but also between Sam and Raiden, in a sense, Raiden is carrying Sam with him.
This is the second politician that Raiden has killed at this point
Glad to see someone remembers Solidus
"And if I have my way, it won't be the fucking last"

Hopefully if they ever made a sequel to Rising, please make a return to Solidus...

"I like you, Jack, so I'm giving you another shot."
Raiden: I said my sword was a tool of justice not used in anger not used for vengeance this isn't my sword
Armstrong: com on
Raiden: ok let's dance

Anyone who's played Dark Souls 3 to the end, this song works perfectly for the fight against Slave Knight Gael.
A metal gear and a dark souls 3 fan. You are such a great person.
