Hey thanks for sharing. I have been watching your channel for some time now. It is very informative. Oak Bay brings fond memories, and so does Cadboro Bay. I am 42, and I used to go to Cadboro Bay Park when I was a child with my parents. I am coming out to Vic in May. Can't wait!

I've been living in Oak Bay since 2021. It's a great place to raise a family, my kids specifically adjusted to it fairly qucikly. I saw that you passed by not far off from where i live.
Hey Ken and thanks for the comment, we live in Rockland but Oak Bay would be our first choice, maybe in a couple of years, but gotta save up a bit more yet 😄

It’s been four month now in Oak bay and I am absolutely loving it. This hood is chic with beautiful mansions, golf courses, beaches, parks, and elegant restaurants.
It’s definitely expensive for a reason and this may filter out unnecessary crowd which I like it.

Fun fact about Oak Bay and surrounding areas in this video is that most of the Hallmark movies are filmed in uplands and Fernwood area 😅

Oak Bay is the jewel of Victoria --- lovely homes, a quaint British-style village, and a very relaxed lifestyle. It reminds me a little of Carmel.

Still cheaper than housing in Toronto. Been to Victoria 4 times so far and my favorite city in Canada.
Try buying a house in Nova Scotia in 2021 - You will rack your brain to death as they are skyrocketing and even if you can afford it, you'll find that there's really nothing here once you get here

How are rent prices in Oak Bay? Are rentals easy to find?
Have lived in Oak Bay since 1994. It was a great place but things are changing. Traffic is awful, parking in OB village is next to impossible. Development is rampant. Beautiful homes are being razed with square box McMansions built in their place.
What bothers us the most is the "entitled" attitude of many people. Women are driving very large SUVs and think they own the road. Stop signs are ignored and to top it off the roads are in terrible shape. Very rough and bumpy. It's a busy place and no longer quaint. Police presence is minimal so rules of the road are ignored.

Hi Atupele, yes there are great homes in Oak Bay but it is one of the most expensive neighbourhoods.

Oh yeah.. 1000sq ft apartment in Seoul on average costs 1.3million
Oak Bay is one of the 13 municipalities of Greater Victoria. Oak Bay is great that it is not Downtown, where the druggies, mental cases, illicit commodities dealers usually are. It is "Zombieland" in downtown. Any Municipality is good as long as it is farther from Downtown, unless you are one who likes to watch freak shows.
