Lived there 20 plus years......and almost a decade ago was so fed up with the destruction of downtown Victoria....I had some respite living in Langford, but Victoria got the point that when retirement came along...we sold our place, paid it off, bought outright in a Village in SW Saskatchewan near the Alberta border...as a bonus had a family physician pretty much as soon as I called.....Victoria? Still a nice place to visit.....if you don't go downtown.

I ride the bus every day. It is 70% immigrants from non English speaking countries. Standing room only. That is a new development that Ainsley wouldn't know about because she drives a Tesla everywhere she goes. 20 years ago it was nice, but now everyone under 40 is abandoning ship, unless you're a rich Real Estate agent or a Boomer who has owned real estate since the 80's.

THIS CITY SUCKS NOW AND IS OVER POPULATED. MASS IMMIGRATION DESTROYED EVERYTHING. I'M MOVING OVERSEAS IN 1 YEAR TO GET AWAY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE

Victoria is an amazing place to raise kids. The onus is on you to try to get them to stay, because the government could not care less. The high taxes, poor health care and high food prices are negatives….

Yyj is a perfect downsize retirement if you are from yyz yul or yvr and your house is paid off. Having lived there, expect 8-15 degree sunny days in the winter, and no oppressive humidity or heat in the summer. The beaches forests and sights are awesome. And dont forget, you are a beautiful 100$ 30 minute return harbour flight to yvr, so really, you are living there as well. I cant wait to move there!

I'm from Brazil and I have this life long dream of moving to Canada. I have been to Canada some years ago in a short business trip and loved it! I love the Canadian culture and people! If I could really immigrate, Victoria is the place I would like to live.

Love Victoria, dream of relocating there (from Ontario of course) ... would have found the video more helpful had you talked over views (perhaps through the windshield) of the various neighbourhoods and housing stock availability.

Hi Ainsley Fernwood looks like a nice place to live. I like the fact it's very close to Victoria city and love the homes they are so cute. I like that there are cafes shops and things to do. Have to say I prefer small cities than big cities like Toronto. Which is where am living. I hope to see Victoria soon I miss that city I found the people so very nice when I was there this year in January. Would like to see more of the neighborhoods in Victoria just gives ideas me more ideas on where I would like to live. I did like James Bay couldn't believe I close you were to Victoria just love it. Lots of tea shops on where you could have tea. Great place. I look forward to your next video. Take care

Homeless people probably have the lowest number of criminals than other demographic. I am not afraid of them. Traffic everywhere is always getting worse as folk keep having kids and the world’s population keeps growing unfortunately. So I would not worry about traffic in Victoria. Thx.
