Hasan Minhaj Uses Timothée Chalamet's Name at Starbucks
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 3 апр 2019
- Comedian Hasan Minhaj taught Ellen the proper way to pronounce his name, and revealed he sometimes uses actor Timothée Chalamet's name at Starbucks since it seems to be easier. He also talked about how he hid his comedy career from his dad when he was just starting out, and told Ellen about his popular Netflix show, "Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj."

exactly...
Hasan!!!! He spent two minutes on his name!!!
@@jemmaj2919 Side Note: Not all of us spell it the same way. I actually get angry if someone spells my name with one s (because in English vowel then S then vowel is pronounced Z and not S).

You know your an Indian when you spend more than two minutes of your life only explaining and enunciating your name to a person you just met. 🙂
Gosh, try learning Indian History and trying to spell all the historical significant people's names! Or even pronounce them! I had to take India history when I am chinese, it was a nightmare!

Amen to that lol
@@najixxxl6103 yup 'more' and 'batter' totally go together...you have more greater sense of humour...
I think they both were. Hasan thinks he needs more of Ellen’s happy vibes in his show and Ellen thinks she needs more of Hasan’s important topics in hers. Hasan sees his show as boring and Ellen sees hers as silly. But like Ellen said, they’re both different shows with different formats. Nothing wrong with that! They can both learn from each other since they’re both comedians.

Ellen definitely seemed bothered and pretty overmatched by Hasan's personality. At a certain point in the interview I believe she decided that he was right to correct her and she really tried to pronounce his name accurately. Bravo, Hasan. You doing that on Ellen set an example for someone many people with family origins from other countries. She knows that she would be a hypocrite to take offense to your correction. I certainly commend her as well. Ellen is great and she really blesses so many people. I do wish she would use her platform to address more issues of injustice. Not blaming her at all, but I can see benefit coming from that for so many that are oppressed in America.

Hes literally beauty and brains . And wit..
He's just so good! Not just in daily show and his own show, but also in the 2017 WHCA dinner. Even his commencement speech is funny and meaningful as well!

The first time I watched him was in Comedians in Cars getting Coffee. I love his story and his humour is fantastic! so effortless and not aggressive all :)
How is hasan minhaj even that hard to pronounce? Literally pronounced how it’s spelled. Love his show tho! Great take on current issues
It can be difficult if you're anglophone as compared to desi. The accent is always on the second vowel, rather than the first
English speakers have a habit of putting stress on a certain syllables out of habit even when there is none, hence Hasaaaan
abdizzll but even with his last name, she just needed to pronounce the “h”
But people don't pronounce those names correctly.
His name is not pronounced the way it is spelled. It is pronounced Ha-SIN but spelled Ha-SAN.
And the emphasis on his last name is the second syllable instead of the first, which isn’t as common in English.
I love him and he’s gorgeous. His wife is probably just in awe of him becuz he’s so great
He is so passionate and fiery, like a burst of fresh air. Love him
Aww he’s like too humble -man your show is so good!

Hasan Minhaj show on Netflix is fantastic! I look forward to every episode because Hasan is a natural born teacher and he is really funny. If you have Netflix you should at the very least watch how amazing this guy really is. Thank you Ellen for having Hasan on your show.
Also note his show is very american extremist left and conveniently takes out crucial points which would expose how misinformed the writers and show creators intend to keep its american leftist viewers. Well, at least the episode on Indian elections.
@@seekmoreof8204 I like people who have empathy and common sense, and Hasan (even if you call him a leftist), has that in spades. His program is about teaching the basics of a situation, so you can research further if your interested and NO TIME for a dissertation. It is all about perspective and perception. Good Luck on your journey.
@@BKMcl yeah, i would agree if he didnt put forth a massive bias. Most people are watching his show for a laugh, but if in the process he provides crucial misinformation and one choses not to investigate further, well now we have misinformed people making ill advised judgements about a very large number of people... sounds familiar i imagine for hasan ? Kinda like how americam muslims feel many are misinformed about muslims... but anyways, good luck to you to! I highly doubt people will take the time to actually investigate.
@@seekmoreof8204 I promise I will look more closely into India's election process. However you did not mention exactly your issues with what you feel are Hassan's misquotes.
