That's crazy good. Doesn't even sound like the same song. I never paid any attention to the lyrics before this. The shame of this is that this is considered a cover, but it's more than that. The arrangement is a beautiful work of art. Thanks guys
You summed it up perfectly! Truely awesome!
The lyrics really shine in this cover. Such a wonderful rendition.
Whoever wrote this vocal arrangement, I have three words. I love you. O.K. Fine, four words. Perfection!
Jennah Bell has become one of my favorites on stories. Which is an impossible statement anyways, with this quality throughout. But yeah, all her songs touch me very strongly. Black hole sun especially.
Sounds like Dolly Parton does Tina Turner!
And that pianist owned this video.
I TOTALLY thought of Dolly Parton too at one point while listening!
Great vocal performance! I was so impressed by the fact that this arrangement was not overly influenced by the original. Great songs are great for a reason and this performance really took advantage of what this song could offer. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
I like this version and Jennah Bell's voice.
Really lovely! And that Danish singer Tine Turner was just magic. Or wasn't it Tine Tørner? Happy New Year to You all!
Now with the mistake corrected, my comment doesn't make much sense anymore. The rest was heartfelt, so I leave it here.
I didn't realize I'd been holding my breath until the very end...that was just stunning
Odd as this may seem, I hear distant parallels to a young Dolly Parton's voice. Not that Jennah isn't a certified original herself with a gorgeous voice all her own, but there's just a distant parallel I'm drawing with Dolly's voice on Jolene.
100!! Was just thinking the same thing, then saw your comment!!
Woah. This was so good. Amazing performance!
Dude that vocal microphone. Sounds so damn good.
holy shit, im in love with her voice
This blew my mind ❤️👂😌❤️
Sublime!
Just sitting here listening to this on loop. Knocked it out of the park!
Amazing Cover.
Besides that, the subtitles are kinda all over the place.
I need a movie to match the perfection of this song....Get Jordan Peele STAT!
- Real Talk - One of my favorite songs by Lady Turner - I can honestly say She would be proud - All the heartache and existentialism of the original is felt not just heard in this version. Well Crafted, Everyone!!!
so good!
amazing
so so good .... the type of innovation that i exactly seek in doing a cover piece. .if u will ... thank you lady...pleasure to meet you...be blessed....
Amazing ,thank you
Sweet! RIP Tina.
Awesome thanks
Ahh. Nice. Would have never thought of this song in 3/4 time. Really good.
R.I.P Tina. A Good cover!
It sounds nice
Actually enjoy this version more than the original. great!
♥️
❤️🔥
Although I love the grit of the original, this was a pleasant experience of the song. refreshing. :)
Une très belle reprise.
RIP Tina
Y'all misspelled "Tina Turner"
Uhh...no
I survey the park, but it is not here, for it has been knocked out of this place
Always hated the original but this is beautiful. Amazing how different a song can make you feel with a new take. All of Jennahs cover with you guys & Scary Pockets are special, the delicacy & phrasing is always outstanding.
I swear Jennah Bell could melt a glacier with those vocal skills. And the phrasing and what she (they?) did with the melody on this one in particular was really beautiful
@@catrionahayes9166 Jennah Bell's voice has such a warm tone to it. Listening to her sing is like the feeling you get from that first sip of fresh coffee in the morning. I don't drink coffee, but I imagine those experiences are identical.
this version tells me that love has "everything" to do with it.
Is that a DRUM ROLL?!?!?!?!
wowww this is a different level than typical covers 🤌 incredibly done
Stevie Nicks Dolly Parton type voice
I know everyone is here to say how great this is, but honestly, eff that 3/4 I hate it. Good effort as usual.
It's terrible
Is it just me, or is the audio really wacky? It’s not horrible, just like it’s 1930 phonogram quality. Maybe deliberate, but sorta overdone.
This is a rape song.
While the cover is pretty, it misses Tina's fatalism.
Hated the composition and lack of melody. Washed out all the emotion from the original. Everyone here is musically talented but the whole effort made to revamp it into something sombre and plain just didn't work for me. Oh well you win some you lose some.
@teinspringz I disagree. But that's the beauty of art, it's always subjective. The composition that you hate is a completely different time signature than the original and takes people to a different emotional place on purpose. I found it brilliant. And there is not a "lack of melody", it's just not always the same melody as before and is reharmonized in places. But not all of their covers land with me either so it's fine that it's not for you.
I agree. Not trying to come across as a hater because she has a nice voice but it's like let's take a song from one of the most legendary singer performers ever and make it dull and boring
It's terrible
The lady has a nice singing voice but this is just a boring and bland cover
This is terrible
It is not because she can't sing because she has a nice voice but Tina Turner had this raw electric energy that in my opinion no one can match and this just strips all that energy out of the song and it's just boring
Sorry but this is one of those covers that didn't need to happen
The reason you mentioned is what makes this cover amazing. This channel is called stories(stripping songs down to their storytelling aspects). Her version makes you hear and appreciate the words much better. Also, her melody changes are such a refreshing contrast to the original; Tina's version will always belong to her and trying to emulate it too closely is the kind of cover that shouldn't happen.

Doing this to a Tina Turner song having a Lamborghini and driving it 10 miles an hour
100% agree with Walter
