They’re the most underrated 911 they can still do 80% of new models at 25% the cost and they feel more raw. Always makes me laugh how people think they need a gt3 rs when they cant master a normal more comfortable standard gt3.
Will add like the other poster, camera mount needs tweeking. Could not watch after a min, vibrations and brightness washing out the video. But still gave a thumbs up for taking the time to post it.
Thanks for the feedback, I've since upgraded to a better setup, although getting the lighting settings correct while still having some in-car visibility in the frame is challenging. I'm thinking about a multi-cam setup to negate that issue.
Hello, i have the project to buy a Porsche 996 like yours to use it on the track, can you show us in detail your car and the modification you did on it ?
It's the camera. I was using an iphone at the time, I've since upgraded to GoPro with better stabilisation. The Tractive suspension can be set from "softer than stock" to "kidney brace required" electronically from the cockpit.
After a few laps my palms can get pretty sweaty, and on a leather steering wheel this could mean I loose grip, so yes, mainly to ensure I don't loose control of the steering wheel and possibly the car.
@@margeinnovera Nope, regular shifter. I am lusting after a Numeric Shifter, but I can't really fault the standard gear change to make the jump just yet.
This guy can drive ! Hit all the lines perfectly. 996 did great 🥇💪
Wow, great to see a lap in a 996! I’ve had mine about 18 months: no track time but she’s good fun on twisty back roads!
i know it's kind of randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to watch new movies online?

Nice lines, and i can see how much you are enjoying driving that, great when you get into that groove and flow
Excellent lap in a 996
solid drive, good lines

Wow, sheeesh, it isn't at all bad. Very watchable. Some ppl are so fussy. Inception was much worse, the Christopher Nolan film
@@spencer.kissack.the.author Look at the later videos he's posted, huge improvement. Given the views vs likes ratio, seems more people agree.
Great job! love my 2003
Sounds great. Thanks for sharing. Nice driving and sweet C2. What exhaust?
M&M mufflers, the rest of the system is stock.

Hi, I'll do a video on the track-prep I've done soon.
Is your suspension as punishing as it looks or is that the camera? What is it like on the streets? Thank you, -Tom. Great video!

Got exactly the same model - what tires are you running? Nice lap - greetings from the UK!
Currently running on Conti SC2's.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love your videos but you need to invest in a camera with better stability. That would be most excellent
i have a question: why the gloves? do they help in any way? like absorb sweat or something?

@@factorylooks9430 wow thanks for the answer :) the video is great btw... the 996 is my favourite porsche
just wondering PMS off?
I tend to keep that on on the Nordschleife, I'm not trying to break the lap record.
I think he means were you menstruating 😂 (it's PSM...)
do you have a deep sump or upgraded oil baffle?
It's got a sump spacer and dual oil pickup. The valves open/close based on the centrifugal force during cornering.
@@factorylooks9430 who makes the dual oil pickup?
@@hitorihouse2612 It's made by Auto-Resto : auto-resto.nl/en/left/olie-pick-up-modificatie-voor-cirquit-gebruik/
Is the white instrument cluster a factory option?
Yes, these are the aluminum painted dials (factory option X71)
@@factorylooks9430 Cool! You're really on it in these vids. I have the same car and cant wait to take it on track!
@@factorylooks9430 Also, is that a GT3 short shifter?
@@margeinnovera Nope, regular shifter. I am lusting after a Numeric Shifter, but I can't really fault the standard gear change to make the jump just yet.
Sensible but rather disappointing how slow the car is. Also has really long gearing which perhaps makes this appear quite slow.
What was the lap time?
Passing the Bridge at 1:10 and the Gantry at 10:28, so around 9:18.
Jetz wenn dus noch könntest.....
The most timid lap i’ve seen or done myself. Get an Instructor in with you but good attempt for a beginner.
Maybe you’ll lend him your car so he can do a hard lap. IMHO a great, sensible lap
