    Wooo excellent my friend, this was the sort of stuff i was referring to when i mentioned calibration stuff a while ago. One thing as well, in the screen section with pixel refresh/ logo dimming etc, if you are brave enough to turn the logo dimming off that helps the dimming issues also. As well for accessing the SM, your way doesn.t work on the physical remote, some tv's in EU don't work (mine is one) so the way in is. Settings/menu,mute power on. This will access SM. Your'e absolutely right with your disclaimer though and if you dunno what your'e doing you can murder the poor tv. There are lots of other things you can do in there, one like Leroy mentioned with the Liminance....it is spelled wrong btw, that deffo boosts the brightness. Het that was funny when the remotes slowly came up the screen and back down lolol, like something out of a horror film. Anyhoo please consider doing some more stuff like this if you can, it's interesting and helps people get more out of their TV's. Sorry it was a long waffle btw. Take care and stay safe as always my friend.
    Edit, the sm menu access is, info, settings, mute, power on. Sorry I was at work lol.

    Hi. On 2022 models, is it possible to change the "global/local dimming" settings in this menu? I have a commonly occurring dimming problem. In my case, in every mode except "natural", the picture darkens for 2-3 seconds, every few tens of seconds. In earlier models of TVs, there was an "advanced" option, but in you and me it is no longer there. Is it possible to set "global/local dimming"? Thanks.

    This is great. Thanks for showing how to do this...I completed the steps you outline and things work well!!
    One more question, on my other recent Samsung TVs, when entering the Service menu, in the MRT section, there is a setting called "Network Support" where you can turn off the WIFI transmitter. For some reason on the S95, that setting is not available in MRT. Do you or does anyone here know where that setting might be sound on the S95B? (I realize you can turn off wifi in the regular TV settings but that does NOT actually turn off the transmitter--even when TV is off, the TV is transmitting).

    Hi Iceman! Is there an option to adjust the Sound Amp in the service menu? The I heard there was a way to make the sound stronger sounding (less tiny and muffled) and hoping to get your knowledge on options. The standard menus are useless.
    Thank you sir!

    • @icemanandbobtechandgaming
      @icemanandbobtechandgaming  8 месяцев назад

      Hi! I don't believe you can make any significant enough adjustments in the service menu regarding sound to make a noticeable difference. The best thing to adjust the sound with any TV or sound system is the placement of the TV (and/or sound system) if possible. Simple things such as the desk/table top that the TV sits on, or how close to the wall the TV is as well as any surrounding items on the side of the TV if there are any can make a big difference in sound quality. I'm not sure what your set up is, but generally when it comes to sound no matter what the device is, these things alone have a big impact on the sound quality.

    • @icemanandbobtechandgaming
      @icemanandbobtechandgaming  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! This issue isn't just an S95B thing, this affects all TVs with USB ports. Even when the TV is powered off, there is a low trickle of power at all times running through the TV for various reasons, and due to this, the USB ports will always have power. Because of this, there isn't a way to completely turn the USB power off shy of unplugging the TV (which makes little sense when one can just unplug the backlight power cord from the TV). You would either have to unplug the cables each time or find a extender cord with USB power (many multi-outlets now come with USB slots in them for very cheap and can be found at local stores like Walmart, Target, and etc or your equivalent if you aren't in the U.S.). This would be your best solution that way you can still have a wall outlet slot still available and plug up whatever your other device(s) may be, plug up the backlight strip into the USB slot on the extension or multi-outlet surge protector or strip, and then you will be able to have the backlight completely turn off, especially if you use a remote to power the strip on and off.

      Hey! I don’t recommend doing that as it can glitch out your tv to make a long story short. That option is buried in the service menu and would take a video in itself to show how to do this. I personally steer clear of suggesting too many service menu adjustments as it can really cause havoc in the long wrong and definitely screw up warranty issues. This video is already risky enough, and I don’t want to be the reason someone may experience failure on their TV.

      That is correct, however there are some things and situations where the Smart Things App won’t work when it comes to doing Service Menu access and work (that I care not to get into so people don’t get any ideas and a few things up worse by using their phones, as this is already risky enough). The remote is a sure bet and the safer route when accessing the Service Menu (again for reasons I care not to get into so people don’t increase the risk of screwing things up).

    People better be careful going into those TV secret menus and don't know what they are doing. You can completely mess a perfectly good TV.
