Yeeeeeeeee proper man exactly what i needed to see i just wasn't sure were I was gona tap into but now I know saved me alot of time! Thanks for the video I'll be bumpin some bass from Vancouver bc!
What did you end up using for the remote wire? What did you tap into? Might missed that in the video but can’t find it. About to start mine today and just want a little advice on where to look for wires
I tapped into the right rear door speaker. Used the right side since the battery is on the right. That way it’d be easier running the power cable from the amp to the battery
Can you take a picture of the line converter for me. How you wired it is genius. Or if you have some sort of schematic for it because I have a 2018 f150 and about to do the same thing
So you used the LC2I so you could plug the rca cables to the amp right? You could have just run the speaker wire to the amp from where you tapped into them, if the amp has a high pass, but I'm sure you knew that. Does the LC2I let you fine tune the sound enough to warrant buying it?
@@kuntrryboy7078 why can't you? There are plenty of vids of people tapping into the high pass or speaker wires if you will and running them back to the high pass on an amp.
@@kuntrryboy7078 What is a high level input? High level inputs means that you are using the speaker wire leads off of the back of the radio instead of using the RCA connections. You can take the speaker wire connections and use them to send the input signal to the amplifier.
I am but since I’m not certified or consider myself a professional, I don’t do installs. I just post these videos to help people out who want to do it themselves
When I did mine. I have a very very faint hum at 0 volume. I grounded the amp at the seat bracket bolt(paint sanded off). Used the RR speaker signal to lc2i and remote out from lc2 to amp
I’m feeling sorry for that LC2i that’s a premium product and you took the short cut wiring it up then hooked it up to a cheap Walmart 3rd party special amp. Bet that system don’t last long but you’ll always have your lc2i which will always hold its value.

Cool thanks man i would never thought of using that ground
Great video. Thank you. I have been researching what to use in my 2020 f150. Didn't think of the LC2i. Glad i found your video first!
Great install video!!
Where did you get your remote wire for the loc?
4 8s is the way to go in the fords
For space reasons?
I went 1 12" with a rear center console build.
Prefab boxes for 4 8s dont have the correct amount of air space for 4 8s to perform how they should
On the 2023 model the wires can be +white/green and - brown/yellow but wire tap location is what I came here for
Hey man great video, quick question, what would be the process if i wanted to incorporate an Epicenter to this set up?
I have no idea man. I'm not a pro or anything. I just know the basic setup to wire a system to a factory radio
Hey boss did you have to tap into both sides for the speaker wire? Or only the passenger side
Just one side
Below the carpet is a hole already there with a plug. No need to drill a hole anywhere.

@@DerickWiley oh I got it now. To lc2i gives the amp the remote signal from the door speakers to turn on. Thx man
Does it call for speaker wire to be used for power and ground to high low converter? No distribution block?
So you can use one of the audio inputs as the remote wire to turn the amp on and off?
No, you tun a wire to the number 23 fuse in your passager side kick panel
Where did you run your 12v yellow and black ground for the LOC

Sorry bro. That was my brother’s pickup and he traded it in a few weeks ago for a Dodge Charger.

You could have just run the speaker wire to the amp from where you tapped into them, if the amp has a high pass, but I'm sure you knew that.
Does the LC2I let you fine tune the sound enough to warrant buying it?
You still have to run rca cables from the amp to the LC2i. And it makes a HUGE difference in the sound.
@@DerickWiley so, you amp doesn't have high pass input?
@@danadams3362 On these newer trucks you cant just use the high pass i puts. Dont work like that.

I heard there was rca connectors back there for the speakers
Aye man where do I wire for the 12 volt constant wire ?
Will this be the same for a 2022 lariat f150
Any issues with sound running jumpers on your speaker inputs?
That install was for my brother and he traded that truck about 6 months after he got it. I don’t believe he had any issues
Are you located in dfw? If so I would like to see about you doing the same for mine and installing mine.
I am but since I’m not certified or consider myself a professional, I don’t do installs. I just post these videos to help people out who want to do it themselves
Did this truck have the factory amp and sub?
Nice. How did you mount the amp to the floor??
This was a non amplified factory system?
I believe so but I’m not 100% for sure
Thank you so much!!!!
Can I connect a voice amp to the lcd2i ?
I have no idea. That’s something you’d probably need to ask them
Yes get the LC2i with two outputs rcas one set for sub amp and one for highs amp
Are these the same for the 2020 raptors? Can i use a non lc2i?
I’m not sure. I just ordered a TRX and ordered a box from Skar audio. I believe they have boxes for the Raptor
@@DerickWiley is the lc2i necessary or can use a pac basic loc with remote turn on?

Yes
How did you run your ground
I used a bolt on the rear driver side seat latch. I believe it’s in the video
“Skylar” lol
what skar subs are they ?

The bigger question is, why is a grown man worried about what I have in my pickup. Don’t like the video, move on… ✌🏾
@@DerickWiley a bigger question than what? And lol you funny.
Wow, how'd he manage to get a 2024 F150? Lol....jk bro
Lol
Wtf kind of hack job is this bro come on man
