OMG You just saved me life with that door speaker wiring. I did not know about that and was dreading my stereo upgrade just because I didn’t want to run all new wires for the doors. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video series
Im not trying to be funny here. But aluminum is 3 times MORE conductive than steel, but with sensitive electronics on vehicles today and that being a 2000w amp, it would still be wise to have an independent ground 👍
Where does the sub woofer signal wire come from if its a stock radio? I have an 2016 XLT with the little screen. Your video has been very helpful up to that point.
Have you changed to only using the rear ground location for the '15+ F150's? I saw a video where someone tested the resistance of that ground, and it was minimal vs. going directly to the battery. Keep up the great work, as your videos are super helpful and informative.
Did the back seat vibrate significantly? Does the back seat bottom touch the sub box? Thinking of adding this to my 2016 F150 but would like children/family riding back there to comfortable.
There is a whining sound coming from my speakers and it fluctuates with the rpms but I didn’t ground the battery. If I ground the battery will it fix that sound and also do I have to ground the battery to the same place as I grounded the amp?
Great share PBAI! Newbie here! Have questions.. That amp sensor on the truck. It can sense amp draws from two different cables? The ground distribution block. Just curious why you didn’t run the cable straight to the amp? Not criticizing. Just learning. Larry
Great video! I will use part of this. My biggest problem is that I have a 2022 F150 with the bigger 12" screen and no where on the internet can i find a video of them installing this pac unit to the newer model trucks with that big screen. I'm terrified of taking apart such a beautiful new screen without knowing exactly what to do beforehand. Just a thought!!
I ran the multiconductor speaker wire from my 6-channel rockford fosgate amp to to wiring harness connecting to my factory harness behind the head unit. My 2 12”s work fine, my amp powers on and doesn’t enter limp mode, however my door speakers don’t produce any sound at all. I don’t believe this is an issue with the wiring, but I can’t figure out any other solution. Any thoughts?
I've recently installed an AudioControl LC5i Pro with a JJ XDM700 5 chan amp. 4 chan to the doors/front tweeters and one chan to a sub. I have the non-sony factory radio. I'm dealing with high white noise floor due to the door chime, backup camera, touchscreen beep volume being amplified. This volume seems to be set in the Ford programming and since I've seen you do installs on many F150s, how do you handle this? Through Forscan? I have a 2015 F150 3.5 Ecoboost non-Sony setup. Thanks for your video series too!
Are you using a T harness / load resistors? I need more info on how you've integrated into the OEM radio. This video is integrating to an aftermarket radio, where the other video shows how to integrate into the factory radio: ruclips.net/video/-_GPd8Y7yGw/видео.html
@@ProvoBeastAudio I'm using a T-harness from factory radio into an LC5i Pro. Since posting this comment I've adjusted the built-in load resistors on the LC5i Pro to 60 ohm. That took care of sending the chimes back to the door speakers but did not help with the high white noise floor.
Ok, so I just bought this exact box with two kicker 10s instead of the alpines. How is the bass output on this box? any good? Does it give a good thump in the cab?
Since you are retaining the factory radio, check, out that specific video (linked in the description which will walk you through that process). ruclips.net/video/-_GPd8Y7yGw/видео.html
Hi, I already upgraded 4 speakers. Next step, I plan to install amplifier and subwoofer for my 2021 Ford Expedition XLT (6 speakers NOT B&O system). Could you please give an advice for amplifier, sub and wiring kits as well. do you think my expedition look like 2016 F150 truck to install amplifier and sub? I live in Manitoba, Canada. I appreciate about that.
Factory Speaker wiring generally is all copper, and should support up to a max of 100 to 150 watts RMS. Anything more, you will need to run new wiring.
So 1 question and 1 comment, how did you do the line out to the 6 rca channels? Never showed that did you use an LC6/7I or similar? I noticed you kept your RCA and speaker outputs on the passenger side to keep it from being run over power and ground, only to wrap the speaker wires around the power and ground at the amp? Do not do that especially with a higher power amp like this. That's a no no for possible interference.
We had an aftermarket radio (video in description) which is why an LOC wasn't needed whatsoever. And very unlikely to have interference when your ground has little to no resistance, using quality RCA cables, etc. What we did was just fine.
Yes. My 2016 F-150 is Sync 3 and I have an amp and 2 subs under the seat. I am about to rewire the ground, however. I think this is causing an issue dueto the aluminum body. It's annoying. I am wondering why he used the distribution point instead of going directly to the battery.
@@gr0uch02a Im also wondering why he went to a distribution point instead of directly from battery to amp. Im assuming multiple grounds are better but you also need to be aware of ground loops. Either way thats awesome info to know, that you need to run a ground wire the same size as the power wire to the battery. Thank you @Provo Beast Audio Installation
So adding a subwoofer- subwoofer 20% of the cost, amp 50% of the cost, box and wiring 30%. At least thats the gust of what I get from all these videos..
Parts used linked in the description of the video!
T harness link???
Didn’t add the t harness. Pls link
You have inspired me to go way harder than i was planning to after seeing that enclosure for dual 10" subs 😍

If you experience a significant voltage drop, then run a dedicated ground. We’ve had great success just using the OEM ground.
Great video and the install was 💯 cleaner than the truck! Lol
Very clean instal I wish you were in Texas fort worth area
This was done on a Super Crew cab. Would that sub work in an extended cab F150?
How can I get you to do the same install on my f150
when you will upload a video for a Ford Ranger 2019+ sound upgrade. That would be great, I'm waiting for it! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

What crimper did you use?
Aluminum is an excellent conductor of electricity. Copper and aluminum connections should be avoided due to galvanic corrosion.

Stay tune, we have the next generation video coming up soon
Why would you bolt the copper wire (ground) directly to aluminium?
Won't it oxidate?
For copper/alumiunium connections we need special al/cu-parts
In theory yes, you could use an anti-oxidant compound to be safe.
Might be dumb question but how did you plug all the RCA leads into the radio what goes where if you don't have three outputs?
If you have a factory radio, you will need a line out converter. amzn.to/3BW0kGL
Where do I get extra ground wire ?
Do you have the part link for the T-harness on factor radio for amp? Don’t see it in description.
I was looking for the same thing,
Anyone find the t harness link?
Same here. Was looking forward to that. Great video though!

Any clue where to get the T-harness? Or an alternative. They are sold out everywhere or 300+ dollars if you find it...
See the factory radio version of this video (linked in description) which has great alternatives to the old axxess t harness.
This is an awesome video. Appears the Axxess AX-DSP-FD2 harness adapter is no longer available. Is there another option or am I too late to this game?

Lots of wires. Can you be more specific?
Question i have. Is the factory speaker wires heavy enough to run a lot of power to door speakers or just low power and factory speaker installed?
