Of course it is. It is superior gameplay wise and doesn't rely on bonus as much as mk64, I can't say for Diddy Kong but the only interesting feature looks like the ability to play as plane or boat.
Good review, although i dont agree in the drift mechanic. You cannot maintain reserves and the controls are a lot more heavier in CNK. Also, there´s no USF and u turn is more useless. But yes, CNK while inferior to CTR is still a great game.
I agree with the video that CNK has superior drifting to CTR, it feels more intuitive and I had a lot of fun comboing boosts in levels and doing the speed runs, which was something I always enjoyed both in the original series and CTR. The drifting is honestly the best I've ever encountered in a kart racing game, so while I think CTR is a more competent game, CNK is my favourite to play and I do think it deserves more love
I only played the Gameboy Advance version of this game, so I can't comment on the quality of the PS2 version. However, I did enjoy the GBA port well enough. In addition, the original CTR is one of my favourite games of all time, and I would love to see it remastered for the PS4. Looking forward to the Twinsanity review!

This is going to be a controversial opinion of mine but I think CTR on the PlayStation is better than Mario kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing.

I played a demo, and it had the track with the clock.
Fun was had.

the only problem I have with this game along with cttr is that not all of the world's are connected like in crash team racing
