The CHF barrel has a lot more recoil than the other barrels, so I don't understand why Treyarch took away the incentive to equip the barrel. Just remove it from the game then.

You're right. They had a good system with black ops 3 though of course some guns being a one shot to the head was a bit of an issue. At least though you had to work for it since those guns weren't the best. I think the CHF barrel should only be for certain guns that way they can balance the game easier
Usually your recoil is manageable with CHF barrel as long as you don't also equip rapid fire and if you equip other attachments to reduce recoil. Seems like it's designed so that your general attachment "cost" is higher for attachments that provide improved TTK because otherwise they would be too strong which is probably true. Like imagine if it didn't have that penalty, why would you ever use something like a stock over CHF or rapid fire that reduce your TTK by like 15-90ms.
It's really strange to me that they got the "KSV" modelled very well but then gave it a fake name, and then they have the ASVAL with its real name but the model has all sorts of awful proportions. (They are almost identical guns in reality)
Same manual of arms irl so makes sense for that but it does seem to be the same role as well, sub compact rifle carbine put in the smg slot because it’s made to handle like one

This is my favorite SMG. I love the fire rate, iron sights, and reload speed. I play HC, so I play aggressively with it and my main focus is the sprint to fire speed and strafe speed.
Would love to see you include some ranked builds in your gun guides, or do some dedicated ranked setups like you have in the past for multiple guns in one video. Maybe even some entire classes? Great content as always.

Yeah but it should have been more forgiving. It should have been 4,5,6,8 shots to kill if they wanted a harsh drop off. Going straight from 5 to 7 is a bit harsh. It has less range than the C9 anyway. They’re both good though. The C9 is most well rounded SMG and doesn’t have bad damage for its fire rate (unlike most of the other SMGs that have steep drop offs). I just try not to use it too much since the MP5 is overused and not as fun anymore.
I would love to see the effectiveness of the CQB and economic grips. You are not the only content creator I’ve seen that swears by using them, but I personally can’t tell the difference
I feel like this is truly the first game where SMGs have their own ranges. It's painful fighting someone outside of the optimal range, and it should be. That being said, ARs still feel like they can always outdo SMGs.
The people replying to you saying the subs dominate and that they’re braindead clearly are low skill/low understanding players. ARs dominate. Play ranked and you can see 8 krigs on the map. The smg falloff is way too hard considering how well the ARs compete up close
ARs specifically counter SMGs. By outranging them, using less bullets, and not needing to reload as much. SMGs counter LMGs. LMGs counter snipers. Snipers counter shotguns. Shotguns counter ARs.

Could you look into the field upgrade Morphine Injector? I'm specifically thinking about the possibility of affecting how fast you can get a shot to fire when you get downed. By default it seems almost unusable.
For that balanced stealth build I do something similar sometimes but I use long barrel instead of suppressor and just use perk greed to take ghost and ninja.
Season 1 tanked performance for me on one of my PCs with low framerates and constant stuttering. Fine one day, then unplayable the next after the update went live, and it's still not resolved, let alone the constant server and UX issues that still affect the game. The silver lining is finding a game in MW3 is still quick and easy, which is a bit of an indictment on BO6.
Ace could you check the chf barrel? As soon as I am hit by someone that has the chf barrel equipped my hud vanishes and I have very high screen shake. In the menu that is stated nowhere
The KSV has been what I've been sticking with I love it, the AS-Val I like more but I just don't know if it's worth using a permanent unlock token on, at least not right away
It makes sense that the KSV’s as good as the AS VAL, since the SR-3 Vikhr and SR-3M are both essentially miniaturized VALs. They’re both stellar guns in MP and zombies alike, and at least on the zombies side I can say I did not regret permaunlocking the VAL.
Don't know if anyone has had this problem but the replacer as val blueprint when I edit it I pretty much keep the same attachments but I remove the scope and get the long suppressed barrel so on my load out screen it shows the gun without a scope yet when I get into a match it's there and I can't get rid of it. There are other blueprints like the tracer ak. Once again remove the scope yet when I enter a match it's still there. It's slightly frustrating cuz for me the as val works better without a scope. Has anyone had this problem?
The inconsistently on the magazine attachments is mind boggling. Its like someone messed up a design spreadsheet and no one noticed. In general, I feel like that even a lot of MW2 attachments has more benefits than some of these
The 25rnd mag also comes with ADS time bonus that the flip mag doesn't have, and Ace is applying the reload add time but the entire reload animation time of the 25rnd mag is fast enough for using it.
Ya do know that there’s more to these fast mags than just the reload speed, right? Fast Mag II comes with an ADS speed bonus too, Ace just never says it because it’s shown in the advanced stats.
I haven't looked at it on the KSV, but I think the real reason to choose fast mags is usually the small ADS/sprint to fire buff, not really the "faster" reload.

In my opinion, the KSV is my favorite SMG in BO6 hands down. Competitive close quarters TTK and a reasonably fast 800 rpm fire rate is what makes this one a stand out.
This thing is really strong because the map design is so bad and small, you are almost never going to be at long ranges so it's either gonna be at the top or competitive.
I have 2 questions 1. What about idle sway ? If you go to the range and you aim on the 3rd traget and ADS the dot wont be on the target it will be around the target every time you ADS. 2. What the idea behind low HS multiplier?

Your problem is playing hardcore. It’s hardcore. It literally basically doesn’t matter since it’s so easy and most guns are on equal playing field with such low health. Like be a real adult and play the core modes that require actual skill through aiming and tracking over time instead blink and you’re dead time to kill
No headshot multiplier, no neck shot, no vital heart area multiplier. Yet they just had to remap the hitbox structures for b06? Camo challenges all start with heashots. Myabe im dumb. But why? Who at Treyarch thought any of that made any sense after all of their "so called testing". Every single person that has played including their own QA testers said the no headshot multiplier was ridiculous. I have played every COD. And initially this one was fun. But its starting to be not fun. For the first time since Vangaurd (Cold War). Im starting to miss the previous Call of Duty game (MW3). They removed all of the fun from previous years attachments. We now have 30 underbarrels that all do 2 of 3 things. They nerfed the aftermarket parts. They basically made all previous guns suck so their bad ones arent as bad. Im sorry to rant. But i figured this may help with a future video. I give it one week before Scump and all the former pros start talking the pooh on this game.
The "hitbox restructure" was for death animations only. The hitboxes for damage are the same as they've always been. While I don't fully agree with the current state of headshots, the reasoning is consistency in TTK, especially with all the crazy new movement. This was a very intentional design decision and not something that slipped through QA testing. In fact, they even publicly tested a higher headshot multiplier for many guns right at launch and then decided to dial it back to Beta values not too long after. Scump and nearly ever other pro/retired pro is likely very much in favor of the current headshot multiplier since they tend to ban/GA any gun that has a decent headshot potential for competitive (like the Model L back when headshots where good on it) and I believe this was one of the key factors in pushing Treyarch to dial back headshots again after launch.

KSV is based on SR3 Vikhr Russian firearm and it start service in 1996 so that means treyarch chose the guns have not enter service so they are making inaccurate choices for guns fits in the Time era 1991
For all the SWEATS ill tell you right now, use reinforced instead of Long Barrel. Im telling you there’s virtually no difference in damage range “during gameplay”. Reinforced also gives you better hit detection bc of the hit scan. This makes the terrible netcode feel more responsive.
Compensator Reinforced Barrel Ranger Foregrip (Vertical Foregrip if you need the extra vertical, not needed tho) CQB/ Ergonomic Grip(choose depending on playstyle/weakness. I go CQB bc subs already have good ads) No Stock/Balanced stock( Or you can use Infiltrator if you hard aim alot, i preferably like No Stock for super aggressive pushing gameplay, or you can use this spot on other attachments like a Mag, Recoil Springs, or an optic. But i wouldnt waste it on an optic tho, it’s just for some of you guys that cant run a gun without an optic lmao.)

KSV has been my personal favorite SMG since Day 1, liked the 74u-esque look.
It certainly is the closest thing even compared to jackal. Unfortunately the KSV is actually an as val sub type gun. So is the Kompakt

Depends on the ranges in question. Within 10 meters, SMGs dominate, but Assault Rifles are simply more consistent out to about 20 meters.

it takes a really long time to rank up guns in this game even with 2XP tokens in MW III I had everything maxed out within a weeks to months

Xclusive.. you’re kind of dragging your feet with these gun guides.
No headshot multiplier, no neck shot, no vital heart area multiplier. Yet they just had to remap the hitbox structures for b06? Camo challenges all start with heashots. Myabe im dumb. But why? Who at Treyarch thought any of that made any sense after all of their "so called testing". Every single person that has played including their own QA testers said the no headshot multiplier was ridiculous. I have played every COD. And initially this one was fun. But its starting to be not fun. For the first time since Vangaurd (Cold War). Im starting to miss the previous Call of Duty game (MW3). They removed all of the fun from previous years attachments. We now have 30 underbarrels that all do 2 of 3 things. They nerfed the aftermarket parts. They basically made all previous guns suck so their bad ones arent as bad. Im sorry to rant. But i figured this may help with a future video. I give it one week before Scump and all the former pros start talking the pooh on this game.
The "hitbox restructure" was for death animations only. The hitboxes for damage are the same as they've always been. While I don't fully agree with the current state of headshots, the reasoning is consistency in TTK, especially with all the crazy new movement. This was a very intentional design decision and not something that slipped through QA testing. In fact, they even publicly tested a higher headshot multiplier for many guns right at launch and then decided to dial it back to Beta values not too long after. Scump and nearly ever other pro/retired pro is likely very much in favor of the current headshot multiplier since they tend to ban/GA any gun that has a decent headshot potential for competitive (like the Model L back when headshots where good on it) and I believe this was one of the key factors in pushing Treyarch to dial back headshots again after launch.
@TheXclusiveAce appreciate the thorough response. Its why your the go to for stuff like this. It is definitely frustrating landing 4 headshots in a row in full auto with a headshot multiplier barrel. Just to loose the fight to someone that has a faster rate of fire weapon hitting me in the body. This is more specific to what I feel is out of balance. Your the Goat Ace
probably the worst gun in the game with no attachments but once you get some stuff unlocked it's a legit gun

@@SpiffingDayafter getting it gold I can confirm you definitely have to keep your distance without rapid fire. With rapid fire you can play more aggressively since you can hold down the trigger
@SpiffingDay nah the pump shotty is complete cheeks without a long barrel or choke on it; swat is still a 3 bullet kill gun with high velo and good damage range.
Yah iron sights suck but once you put a optic on it then it’s fine

Easily my least favorite SMG. You take 1 step back and it's 30 hitmarkers with much worse recoil than any other SMG 😂
100% agree. I regretted even trying to get it gold. Once I stopped using it my KD doubled

@@rockmycd1319 - The Kompact kills way quicker in close quarters and is a bit easier to control imo. That gun is also pretty dookie too when you take a step back.

KSV is based on SR3 Vikhr Russian firearm and it start service in 1996 so that means treyarch chose the guns have not enter service so they are making inaccurate choices for guns fits in the Time era 1991

I find SMGs so underwhelming, their damage fall off is just too punishing.
No they’re not. SMGs should be close range guns, not ARs but with better handling.
For all the SWEATS ill tell you right now, use reinforced instead of Long Barrel. Im telling you there’s virtually no difference in damage range “during gameplay”. Reinforced also gives you better hit detection bc of the hit scan. This makes the terrible netcode feel more responsive.

CQB/ Ergonomic Grip(choose depending on playstyle/weakness. I go CQB bc subs already have good ads)
No Stock/Balanced stock( Or you can use Infiltrator if you hard aim alot, i preferably like No Stock for super aggressive pushing gameplay, or you can use this spot on other attachments like a Mag, Recoil Springs, or an optic. But i wouldnt waste it on an optic tho, it’s just for some of you guys that cant run a gun without an optic lmao.)
