For some reason, a lot of Windows apps are designed in a certain way that's not as elegant as certain Mac apps. It's a shame.

Can you use loop back using a 3.5 mm Audi adapter cable , going into the Mac audio jack ?

I've done it before but it all depends on what you are trying to do and what kind of devices you are connecting to it. So, are you trying to bring an external microphone or are you trying to output to an external speaker or other device? If you're trying to hook up a microphone, it has to go into the line-in jack but of course you have to make sure your Mac can recognize it. If you're trying to output to a speaker, you can route audio to the speaker as well.

Hey Patrick, how you going man? Question about using loopback with quicktime. So I've set up a device in loopback, I have Logic Pro X, my audio interface my microphone is plugged into it, and the pass thru. But where I hit a roadblock is what the inputs and outputs you choose on your sound preferences on your computer, in the daw (logic) and then in quicktime. Also I want to be able to hear myself in my headphones whilst I am screen recording. But when I try it I get latency, and it records the latency in the screen recording is there a way around that? It's driving my crazy hahaha
I want to be able to create music tutorials for creatives so I bought loopback to solve the issue with capturing the internal audio, microphone and screen at the time. But been unable to work it out. I've been combing through countless youtube vids to try solve it.
Thanks in advance bro, for any advice.

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier. So if I'm reading this correctly, you are trying to do a screen recording using Quicktime and along with your screen you want to capture the audio output of Logic Pro X and your microphone. I don't have Logic Pro X to verify this, but this is what I would try. In Loopback, your Virtual Device should have two sources, Logic Pro X and your Microphone. In order for Logic Pro X to show up as a source, you need to have it open. When you choose Logic Pro X as a source, make sure you uncheck the "Mute when capturing". In this setup, I would delete the Pass-Thru source if it's there and have no Monitors. Then startup Quicktime, and you should see your virtual device there. I just tested this out with Final Cut Pro X and it should work with Logic Pro X.
As far as hearing yourself in your headphones, Loopback is definitely not for this. There's always going to be latency because it has to go through so many channels. The only way to have zero latency is if your microphone has a audio output for direct monitoring.
I hope this helps. Let me know.

@@EverydayTechTV Hey brother, thanks for getting back to me. Yeah I figured it out after I commented on your video.
I did a screen recording and I just put up with the latency in my headphones lol it's annoying but at least the tutorial came out good 🙂thanks again for the help man. Appreciate you. Grace and Peace bro.

Can you use this app with streamyard? Using Facebook live ?

    • @EverydayTechTV

Yes... once you create a virtual device it should show up on your microphone list in both Streamyard and Facebook live.
