Those window side connection points are shot....there should be no space. Get new ones on Amazon. They are 3 pieces each and screw together with a rubber washer in between. Mine are arriving tomorrow.
How did you removed the ball joint screw hardware from the strut? To reused it? How did you manage to removed original ball joint screw? I have same exact Honda CRV. Same problem you have.
@@MrHotnspicy96 i just ebayed lift supports for the crv and they came with them. Have no idea how to take them apart just how to take them off and then back on.. sorry i cant be of more help

New ones came attached. I didnt take apart either of the struts, just took off the old ones and put on the new ones

Im sorry they should pop right in, still pretty new to this and i dont have the people or equipment to hold camera and watch me do things some times
