Smart man for passing on the universe question the Star Wars question and his own filmography question because he knows if he answered yes to any of those questions it would’ve stirred up a hornets nest of a frenzy
@@ghostpants3770 or he knows what shit star wars has been since prequel days and Disney being more controlling than bond producers of he ever get to work on a bond film. Or maybe he just doesn't like to make one because of how heavy CGI has to be used to make them

It wouldn't surprise me if he entertained the idea of making a SW movie. Same way how Tarantino supposedly entertained the idea of making a Star Trek movie. But answering either yes or no would just lead to debates and pointless headlines from news articles these days.

It's not the most important thing in a film. But for a success of a film it's important (at least these days). Atleast that's how I'm sure he meant it. Hans and Ludwig would do it for the money anyway
Great questions 😂😂 I cringed at every single one of them. Just look at Nolan's face he's bored at the stupidity of these questions except maybe the star wars one. So cringe
Nolan's Star Wars movie has got to be about the world between worlds. It's got all his signature themes like time travel, sci-fi, and potential for amazing special effects.
Honestly I prefer this style of interview because it’s more direct and to the point while allowing the person being interviewed to dodge questions meant to get a reaction Plus at the end you can talk about the interesting answers
It makes so much sense for a smart man like Nolan to say yes to the smartphone/laptop question. He knows it’s circumstantial and preference-related. His stand is people SHOULD enjoy a proper film on a big screen like how it is most often intended to, saying MUST would be unreasonable.
What many people don't realise about Star Wars is that it isn't just a brand, it's an entire universe, capable of hosting a multitude of genres. Nolan could totally make a Star Wars film, while retaining a high degree of creative freedom. Unless he went out of his way to break the lore (as opposed to enhancing or expanding it), a Nolan Star Wars film would probably be well recieved by both fans and general audiences.
Does this mean that Christopher Nolan himself agrees that budget is not everything that determines if a movie is good or not? (I personally think that the most important thing is a good plot followed by good actors and I'd have to think about the other factors)
Exactly as I expected. He's not a snob. Love that he's no longer interested in superheroes We don't need anymore superhero franchises. Passes of course are I don't want to say yes or no when I'm still thinking about it.
Just as I was thinking about inversion from Tenet except it's in Star Wars. Imagining what it would be like to get killed by an inverted lightsaber like a crazy person.
WB did Zack Snyder dirty and he is a friend of Zack BvS was made under his guidance and Nolan specifically asked Zack Snyder to not watch theatrical JL... And even after the success of Zack Snyder Justice League.. WB still refused to made it cannon and Replace every characters...

I think it’s because he means on like rewatches, but watching it for your first time should be in a theatre.
I really found it nice, he is not forcing someone to watch in his preferred format.
like really watching movies in a mobile is trash but in a pc or laptop it's gonna be great
You can watch his movies on anything, and they would be great
You CAN watch it on those formats, but you shouldn’t 😂
I love how mysterious Nolan remains after all this time. He let’s the work do the talking. In my view that’s the sign of a true artist.
Well said and I agree!
I'm so intrigued by each 'pass' that I'd like a detailed 150 minutes analysis of each 'pass' with an epilogue by Nolan himself 😂
It was the best possible answer to those lol otherwise if it were yes or no that’s a million clickbait articles
