Hey, check out 'Mannipaya' by Shreya Ghoshal at Berklee college of music Indian ensemble, USA. The song is one of the classics and ofc Shreya is stellar in that one. Also, I would recommend you to check out 'Aayat' and 'Laal ishq' songs by Arijit singh, get the translations for those lyrics bc lyrics in Indian music are poetic and beautiful. You would get to know the notes he could do and he is absolutely amazing in those songs. You could get the authentic Indian music in these :)

Funny when you mentioned your dog was going crazy at almost the exact moment you were wondering what the word “deewani” means, lol. It’s the female conjugation of the Hindi word for “crazy”. Shreya is singing a song from the Hindi language historical drama film Bajirao Mastani.
She has an angelic voice. Plus she's trained in Indian Classical Music. So she's absolutely Lit. Very difficult to beat her voice in terms of range and voice qualy.
What to expect from Indian Music depends on what you intends to listen.....Like the country itself, the indian talents too are vast in numbers. Rap, street metal, pop, (english or hindi or bilingual) , classical, you name it, you find some gem in any stream or genre.

Check out other Indian playback singers, especially the living legend Asha Bhosle. She has ~70 years of film music to select from! She has also collaborated with artists like Boy George and Michael Stipe.
The original bond song actually sampled an Indian song. Insider made a video about it. Also Britney Spears used the same song to make the toxic “Toxic” I believe. I would recommend you check that video out. I will put the link in the comment.

You better listen to Indian music more often and you will eventually will appreciate its complexities. Ancient Indian classical musicians sliced and diced the notes in many complex ways and it is all very systematised and passed down the generations.

These reaction videos are funny it is like student grading teachers. These so called vocalist who no one has ever heard are grading singers like Shreya, Sonu, Arijit, Lata Mangeshker etc. shouldn't it be the other way round?

Shreya Ghoshal is among a handful of singers who does not need auto tune and has never lip synced. There's a reason she is as well known as she is.

The issue is the video - there is a slight delay between the sound and the video - people have noted this about this particular video and therefore it's not considered a good representation of her talent.
