@@Arashi257 It wasn't ever possible in the Sims 2. In that game, the Reaper is not exactly seen by the game as a proper Sim, so it was never marriable in that version, only in the Sims 3 and 4.
leave it to EA to ship an old game in a worse state than it was when it originally launched. how the fuck do these people even warrant the prices they put out?
AFAIK this is the exact same thing that would happen in the original version of the game. Messing around with debug commands is known to potentially cause game corruption.
@@XiremaXesirinYou know what the sad part is. You put up a solid counter point and defense, and I'm not going after you for this. That's all there is. The game is in the SAME state as it was when it launched a decade ago. Still being sold. Still being modded. And EA can't get one guy to fix the game up for a month (I doubt it would take that long) to make it playable and stable to do everything it offers on modern systems. Not even in a way that's monatized, like a 30 dollar remaster or smth.
@@Reac2 Look, EA is EA - but I guarantee you that there was no one available to them who has experience with the spaghetti code that is the Sims 2 to have an honest crack at fixing those issues other than a) original MAXIS devs or b) experienced modders - the former being close to impossible and EA onboarding the latter highly unlikely.
@@ElSuperNova23 Who needs experience! Just dive into the code and figure it out. It'll cost them a couple of months of salary in exchange for significantly better reviews and word of mouth. How many more thousands of copies would that sell?
I miss when this franchise was fun. Sims 4 kinda began alright, but went bad so fast. EA is such a no fun zone...among other things. Oh well. I'm surprised modders haven't fixed it. They've done amazing things with 3. Unless this was on the cloud. I forget. Never trust the cloud and stuff you can't use local and offline.
I feel like her NOT succeeding this time is actually better, because now she'll probably start looking to see if there IS a way to pull it off. Which means we get to watch her try again 😁
If I got a nickel for every time I've seen Vidcund refuse to die in a youtuber's playthrough, I would have two nickels. Which isn't much, but I find it amusing that it happened twice.
The amount of scuff this stream... It was perfect 😂 Too be fair, all the stuff she remembered from this game I remember as well. The amount of stuff they patched is sad.
Naw. It's the most well known golden rule of Sims 2, do NOT mess with any event npc as it WILL corrupt your files. Some are generic and the game can generate a new one like the witches, but anyone unique like Santa for example has to be left alone.
just remember kids, games back in the day launched at finished and didnt get day 1 patches to fix anything. Mainly cuz there wasnt much that needed fixing to start with and no net connection.
It's too bad it took her so long to figure this out. If I was her I'd try to get it refunded anyways; That, or just pirate an older version. The fact DEVS/Publishers force the removal of fun bugs in single-player games will never, NOT be infuriating.
change the setting to only run of 3 core total. since it is a old game. and to many core might crash it !!! same crap I had to do with some of the old games !!! damn steam. but steam people will help out with the coding !!!
It is no longer possible to “Try for Baby” with the Grim Reaper
THEY RUINED IT
Unless you're Olive Specter
That was such a dumb patch.
I knew they took it out from Sims4, but I didn't know they did the same thing for the previous games.

@@KnightofAges I see, I wonder why they even thought of patching it out in 4, like are we not meant to do that even though it's possible to do?

This feels familiar.
A truck went to a bar, but it crashed so hard that it got bent to an impossible position, and then Ode to Joy started playing from the jukebox
I get too much joy from her "noooo"
4:09 EA: I don't even know you
What's funniest is the first dude refuses to sink but the second one almost immediately.
> marry the grim reaper
I think I just heard a very worried GUH.
EA doesn't want you to have fun
Lore accurate EA
EA wants your money not your fun
Noo, not the green reaper.
She might not have succeeded in her original plan, but at least she got to vibe to the Sims 2 bops. That's a W stream in my books. Man I love Nimi
EA killed Nimi's dream.
That's next level rage quit. Even the server gave up
Sims Grim Reaper is just Lu Bu at this point.
She's like Josh in "lets game it out" but cuter
3:50 Interesting to see there is a potrait of the reaper for that, I guess that means they were thinking about making it a real sim.
the irony is that there a npc in the game that has woohoo'ed with the reaper :D Olive Specter
4:07 EA: "We don't even know who you are."
This is the second time she’s corrupted a game! She’s eating the nightmares necessary for the game to run!

amazing cute nimi!
3:00 No wonder the Grim Reaper left "You Cheated On Him" LOL He was like "Cheating in The Sims 2... I can't with you Nimi Goodbye!"
typical EA releasing a broken game
"Extremelly friendly goth beauty charms you and invites you to live with her then use you as bait to flirt with the Grim Reaper" asmr when?
time to get a usb-dvd drive and some good old disc version of the game.

the disc version used some weird copy protection, trying to remember what it was. that driver wouldn't work in modern windows.
