Springer has two altmodes:
- Car
- Car pretending to be a helicopter
Tracks also has two altmodes:
- Earth Car
- Earth Car pretending to be a jet (clearly)
I know it would be expensive as hell but themed shelves shaped like the cybertronian buildings they always have on packagings would have so much of my money
Oh that would’ve been pretty cool actually!
Now its time to take that idea and bring it to life. Im so down for this DIY custom project.

I actually like this deco a bit better than the siege! Yeah, all the gray is a bit boring, but it's actually a lot more competent with the basics of coloring: a clear primary, secondary and accent color (gray, green and yellow, respectively), and a lot cleaner color blocking for all three modes, where the siege one can look messy at times, and not just because of the battle damage. All a matter of taste, of course!

A tip for the green filler pieces for the chest: you should only fold them out when the entire chest piece is completely detached away from the body and is open.
I actually prefer this color scheme, but the mold itself has some major issues. Thrilling 30 Springer had some issues as well in staying together and having a believable helicopter mode, but it was still better overall.
The part of the helicopter mode transformation where the upper part popped off was one of the funniest things I saw on this channel
The siege is a cool figure. A pain to transform imo though.

I laughed when the waist mushroom peg popped out on you! The same thing happened to me while transforming my SEIGE version figure!

"Probably some of the coolest engineering I've seen on a voyager" is the ability to accidentally separate the torso from the waist! 🤣🤣

For the bot to car mode transformation, the tabs that go into the arms for car mode that were near the bot mode waist can actually tab into the slots on the sword hilt to act as the swords’ sheathe.
that awkward silence when the waist and torso separated was comedy gold.
Really though, this guy and especially the siege version look so good but the fragility of some of the parts is just, no. it's why I skipped both versions of it.
I actually thought I had broken it haha - yeah some parts do feel a little delicate which is a shame
@@PrimeVsPrime oh yeah I know the feeling, I've had unexpected things like that happen and it's definitely a shock.
Heat the plastic up with a hair dryer then squeeze the tabs together as tight as you can for a few minutes and the plastic should set in that new orientation, holding the hinge piece more effectively. Some use boiling water and dunk the plastic in for a few seconds but I find a hair dryer less risky.
Hair dryer is great for damaging the figures as well.

I wouldn't use hair dryer for this figure though. Plastic looks quite brittle. Maybe a hot cloth would help, but not hair dryer.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen this mold. I think the colors work on this mold than the Siege version.
Great video! Thank you! I missed out on the "WFC: Siege" Springer, and I generally prefer the original toy colours over the inaccurate G1 cartoon colour scheme, anyway, so this one was a must for me.
I think this springer will be the Springer in my collection *It's cheaper than the now $40 one on amazon I'll tell you that much*

I remember buying the seige/earthrise version of this figure, trying to transform it once, getting stuck with transformation, breaking the figure then having to bin it.
I've been waiting for this to come out
Springer has been my all time favourite transformer and the fact that hasbro remade this mold really makes me happy
I cant wait until we get a drift version of this mold, maybe update the look for drift

i honestly like the green on this figure compared to the siege one, looks very durable in comparison
The arms for helicopter mode are frustrating, I think most of us have learned as kids “let’s not just brute force this together” if you like your figures, but on this one you got to tab the forearm into the legs and squeeze the shoulder into the chest area.
I would have felt really stupid if I had chosen Siege Springer instead of the Generations Springer a year ago when I was deciding between the two. So glad I went with the T30 version now that we actually got this one!
Generations version does look nice!
I still think the generations Springer and the sandstorm remodeled from Generations were the best version of this triple changer
Well, they are the top versions of those characters, and nothing will beat them. But this one is good because it's G1-accurate, and I use it as what Springer looked like before he got his T30 appearance.
@@dkkanofkash8798 don't know why I just remembered this but I just remembered the hilariously unceremonious death of Springer and the original G1 cartoon🤣 they revisit the junk planet after the movie and Springer immediately gets consumed by a trash compactor and torn apart then the rest of the episode goes on like it never even happened
@@Cwronaga216 Yeah exactly, that was a really dumb death. Then Hot Rod says "Gross!", like bro, your best friend just died. So, in my head canon, Springer gets disassembled in that compactor, sure, but he gets repaired and rebuilt as his Generations version. As for Sandstorm well, maybe he just requested an upgrade after seeing Springer sporting the new look.

Eh. I already have Siege Springer, and the only new things in this version seem to be new paint and the Wrecker sigil, both of which you can just custom paint.

I really feel like the Speedia 500 Velocitron line’s bit better than the Wreckers Amazon line, that’s not to say that both lines aren’t great though.

I had preordered all the Wreck 'n Rule figures, and then when I found out that the wrecker hammer was just cardboard and not a CNC accessory I cancelled all but the two with the "new' fossilizers.
Yeah it’s such a shame! The cardboard hammer is just useless sadly :( & the fossilizers look great!
I cancelled all of my pre-orders except for Springer and the Leadfoot/Mastodon 2pack.
Sweet mother of Primus, Unicron, and Gaea...that tabbing in of that chest component for the vehicle modes looks and sounds even worse than the Siege version. Guessing that they used a weaker plastic for this version?

Ironically, I found a seige springer the other day at a local toy store. I pulled the trigger on it. Having forgotten I had a preorder for this one....

Never heard of using floor polish. I've always used clear nail polish.
I'd lke to get both and swap the newer head sculpt with the older one. I think it looks better, plus the guns and blades are a better color. I just got the Siege version.
i disagree - i think this color scheme is leagues ahead of the wfc colors. didn't pick this up one up during wfc, but always wanted to, definitely going to grab this one.
I far prefer the newer version to the original. I think that gray is much more appealing then the gross blue and battle damage
Also, this one has a better shade of green, more acidic than lime, and yes, the gray is very nice.

The Siege one looks more Marvel UK colour accurate than the Legacy one especially in the shoulders.
My wishlist for next Transformers toys:
Legacy Classics Universe Menasor - A Kingdom Core Class Optimus Prime mold with a grey redeco of Kingdom Hot Rod's sword instead of the former's Ion Blaster (can the sword handle also attach to the port of Core Class Optimus Prime's truck mode?). I'm not sure if he should be a straight redeco, or have his vehicle mode front and robot mode shoulders, head, and chest retooled, however, but he'll still be colored like Classics Menasor either way.
Shattered Glass Sideswipe and Sunstreaker - SG Sideswipe is a redeco of Kingdom Sideswipe with the Siege Sideswipe's jet pack (which is still compatible with the former), while SG Sunstreaker is a redeco of Earthrise Sunstreaker.
Shattered Glass Thundercracker - Another redeco of Siege Starscream, like Shattered Glass Slicer, his Deception symbol is pink instead of red, although his case is much more suitable for him than Slicer in my opinion.
Collaborative Wonderbolt Windblade - A redeco of either the first Generations Windblade, or the Titans Return mold, while still having a color scheme of the Wonderbolts and figurines of Rainbow Dash and her human counterpart either way.
They are all really good ideas! I hope to see some if not all of them soon!
I missed out on the Siege one, and because of Amazon will likely miss out on this one two. It looks like a cool figure.

I honestly like the legacy one better. It somehow works for me and I think the weathering just looks like quick ugly dry brushing.

+7:10 I wouldn't recommend ever plugging the back back into the arms those over painted right angle shaped transparent tabs do snap off so it's best to not use them in the 1st place really.

Thought the colors on this were based on the UK comics, not the toy colors.
Springer’s original toy colors fits perfectly as his Wreckers color scheme, IMO!! The Wreckers supposed to be cool and tough looking!! Also, his 2 alt-modes look more cohesive in these colors!!

@@PrimeVsPrime You loved Galvatron’s original toy color scheme on his Generations Selects. So your personal opinion on Generations toy redecoes inspired by their G1 toy colors are case by case basis, depending on your attachment of the character.

@@PrimeVsPrime I’m viewing it as someone who doesn’t own any of the Generations Wreckers toys, so I looking at this Springer as a standalone toy. And I like the original G1 toy colors on him!! (There could’ve been a bit more paint accents here and there, but it’s still good!)
I’ve never been a big fan of Springer. Mainly cause I’m not keen on cybertonian looking vehicles especially when that’s their main or only alt mode. It’s a shame cause I kinda like the bot mode. I wish they could just give him a realistic helicopter and car mode. 😔

You're way off on the colour, this Legacy scheme is absolutely superior. The Siege version was ghastly.

This Springer is cool to me attempt to colouration 🙂, unfortunately my shelves is running out of space because i too focused collect Jurassic World Dinosaur 🦖🦕 rather than Transformers figure, that's why 😅. Never mind, at least i enjoy watch this video 😊.
G1 Springer is the toy accurate as well
I actually liked how ER Ratchet was an exclusive. I hope the new voyager Ratchet will also be an exclusive packaged together with another figure people aren't interested in.

Problem with that is that the exclusives are impossible for those of us outside of the US to get hold of
I baught a Legacy Springer but I ended up with one that didn't have a Wreckers hammer piece or have any weapons
I’m not sure about collecting the full line now especially since the wrecker hammer is cardboard and I’m not sure about twin twist and bulkhead
These mushroom pegged limbs becoming a standard build feature on every single release lately is very sad and frustrating. I’d imagine that the upper ups and design teams at Hasbro/Takara know what they’re doing in terms of demographics, sales, material costs, which corners to cut and so on. The waffleing, I can begrudgingly understand. But these limbs and transformations are getting so cookie cutter and insultingly uninspired its soured my feelings towards these companies greater still.
mine just arrived a couple hours ago, really good imo but the canopy piece doesnt fit right in car mode and that bugs me a lot
I have Siege Springer and its color scheme is better. But still this is a great figure... and swords look better then in original version
