honestly there is so many good characters that makes bleach an awesome series, all we need is a good story with little plotholes, coherency, and time to develop it well. Unohana knows that zaraki would be a way better fit for the title of kenpachi why can't she just give it to him without dying, i mean theres 10 after her already. maybe i just didn't understand the fight between them and why it had to happen. also it seems other kenpachi's can use there shikai and bankai without fighting Unohana, so that just furthers my confusion

I haven't gone to re-read the manga, but I thought Zaraki essentially won his first fight with Unohana, or was about to, and then subconsciously locked his power away. That was why he barely lost to Ichigo, barely beat Nnoitra, and why Unohana was tasked with fighting him again in the last arc.
Unohana's bankai,I think,was more on changing the status of a person back from what he was a few seconds ago. She can use this in a fight to unli-slash an enemy up until her thirst is satisfied,then she can proceed in killing him. On the other hand she can use this to change the status of a friend so he/she won't have to die as a battle still goes on.
They should create some filler episodes of the history of all the the kenpachi and also some thing that were left unknown just like what happened to Yoruichi and the others It would also be nice if they animate their light novels too
instead of answering your questions they will create more questions and less answers they will create another filller arc that leaves more questions nothing about the history of kenpachis will be shown

Kiganjo was "weak" because he had to kill a normal captain because i don't think the 9th Kenpachi killed Soya and was just a Captain level shinigami who was given the 11th divition to administer, same for the 2nd Kenpachi with Unohana .
the 9th Kenpachi i believed was once Soya's lieutenant, he was given the title Kenpachi and 11th division because Soya Azashirou was imprison and he is the alternative, so he is the one of the weakest Kenpachi in history

We've only seen Zaraki with an immature bankai and its already monstrous. A fully mastered bankai Zaraki would be insanely frightening. Easily the most powerful character in the series with the exception of IChigo.

The bankai of Unohana is based on the healing ability as well, forcibly keeping those within a certain range alive based on the blood pool. It doesn't heal so much as it forces things back to life while they are falling apart. Zaraki here died repeatedly.

Considering her bankai melts herself and Kenpachi to their bones and she singlehandedly healed herself and Zaraki both back to full health again and again WHILE fighting him. I'd say she deserves more.

So an invitation means not shit, Senjumaru wanted her ass destroyed so did Hikufune. They just couldn't do it
Only one kenpachi was invited to join zero squad the one with banned bankai. Even the one after him, was strong enough to join unohana, zaraki, and the 7th

Since Zaraki killed Unohana, and the "Second Kenpachi" never killed the first Kenpachi, does that technically make Zaraki the real Second Kenpachi, cause you earn the title by killing the previous holder of the title.
Unohana was a cooler kenpachi, she wasn’t overpowered and was the only kenpachi to not be beaten in succession. I find zaraki overpowered and lacks a true superior whom I would love to see as a gentle fighter
He means in the grand scheme of the story.if you read the whole arc,you'd know that characters who far surpassed her abilities came up after her.even the captains like shunsui,toshiro and byakuya all got insane powerups
unohana was a great character that wasnt used to her full potential.. the entire anime they build her up since she has that scary persona underneath her light hearted exterior.. you just wait and wait for her moment.. her moment happens and its over in what 2 chapters? they really could have used her better. i feel like bleach did that with lot of captains, ukitake for example... just dies lol we dont see his bankai we dont see him really fight.. but he was one of the first captains so you expect him to be strong with a crazy bankai.. only to be used as a fodder character. Shunsui im glad they used him.. he was one of my favorites off the start.

Why has no one ever spoke on how Zaraki Kenpachi is the most powerful / best written character in Bleach. Everything about his story is subtle, yet the perception of this character is that it's straight forward. Think of Zaraki Kenpachi this way: He is a being who has purposely AND unconsciously gone out of his way to help every single one of his opponents have the slightest opportunity to kill him in battle since he was a child AND NOT ONE PERSON COULD KILL HIM until he got back to Unohana, the official previous Kenpachi and GREATEST CRIMINAL OF SOUL SOCIETY (who didn't even care to lift a blade when Aizen had swept Yamamoto under the rug), when he beat her as a child before suppressing his power. The man's Zanpakuto spirit is powerful enough to live a normal life as a human/soul, is able to beat the entire 11th Division (Including the previous Lieutenant) by HERSELF, meaning you'd have to be CAPTAIN level to even beat this 3 foot tall girl, AND SHE EVEN HAS A UNIQUE SHIKAI!!!! By the way she isn't affected by anyone's Reistsu, not even Yamamoto.
Sōya Azashiro was seriously op asf. And his mentioned in that light novel makes his bankai a freak of fucking nature. I would of loved to see Sōya and the 7th Kenpachi in the canon.
I think the reason why unohana retires from being the kenpachi is because of zaraki. When she thought she killed zaraki as a child. She thought there's no one to surpass her and beat her until she learn that zaraki was still alive and fighting. Unfortunately for both of them thry both change alot as well.
Yachiru is part of a zanpakutou, she is the part of Zaraki's bankai that he rejected in order to enjoy his fights even more. When Zaraki finally releases his shikai, he shows that he accepts his own power and she goes back into the sword, that is why only her garments and badge remains on the floor. She is the one that shows Zaraki the power of bankai later on.

No one wondered during unohana and zaraki's fight, that unohana didn't use her shikai before using her bankai. :> In using bankai, you must use your shikai state first before bankai. That's the reason why unohana became a kenpachi (a master of swordsmanship) any sword she can use is her blade. Remember the shinigami illustration where unohana use a stick to fight others?... Plus, her shikai is mostly like a bankai, where it show its true form, a one eyed green stingray. Unohana needs a lot of explanation especially her bankai.
Since when do you have to go into shikai state before using bankai? Kurotsuchi has used it plenty of times without activating his shikai and Byakuya has to exclusively be sealed before using bankai.

Well Urahara's Hogyoku's true potential was revealed much later .... the power to grant ones deepest desires ... initially the central 46 deemed it as something dangerous that could blur the boundaries between shinigamis and hollows ... and I believe they suppressed the whole thing , and the royal guards are not much aware of what happened at those times .... plus , the hogyoku is now with Aizen , so it is not much useful ..though i believe given enough time kisuke can perhaps build another with his immense genius and wisdom
He replaced the 12th Division Captain who got promoted into Zero Squad. He could've been invited eventually, but he was exiled before he had the chance (thanks to Aizen).

It fuses the immediate world with that of its representation by cognition. Tite Kubo is a genius, creator of a great story with amazing Ideas imbedded into it.

In shikai or a sealed sword, he's normal like everyone else but on activating bankai, it comes as a drawback for insane power
There's a reason for all this kenpachis and strong characters introduction. It's for hell arc. All of them now in hell. And since soul king is gone, it's good to say that there's war there for the next soul king or something

Last arc spoiler: Kenpachi got put into space and came back by ripping throughthe dimension. He scared his opponent so much ( an opponent that could manifest anything he imagined)that he couldn't think of anything to beat Kenny and lost. His bankai was so powerful it was like Naruto's 4 tail fox cloak, it burned his skin off.. and it wasn't even full power. Aizen is probably the only one with a stronger spiritual pressure. I can't wait to see the final arc of bleach aninated.
People really should read the battle between Kenpachi and and Unohara... it's epic this video doesn't really do it justice, especially in regards to the difference in power levels at the beginning of the fight.
there where only 2 kenpachi unohana and saraki reason why is simple in order to have that title you have to defeat the previous kenpachi so been unohana the fist one been undefeated
The second and ninth were probably just normal captains. Since they just had the title handed to them. The seventh being stronger then Shunsui is crazy though. Since besides the zero squad, Yamato and and Zaraki he is the most powerful captain.
We should've known that Unonhana was dangerous considering how other people were easily intimidated by her meri presence. Ukitake and Shunsui don't dare joke about her in her presence. I think we all knew she was dangerous we just didn't expect her to be a blood thirsty person. Kubo surprised us with her.
Probably bankai minazuki is not acid, there's no zanpaktou that has different power in shikai and bankai. Her bankai's ability probably is very high regeneration but it's too fast and detoriorate everything it touches and kill it. If her shikai is regeneration her bankai should be still regeneration but in a higher scale.
@@reubenyuri there's always some connection, sometimes it's not that easy to find but it can't be literally the opposite. Even yhwach said that there's no zanpaktou with shikai and bankai with completely different powers.

Also I don't get how in one panel his skeleton is partially showing like it's been burned off by acid which supports the shikai and bankai being acid based theory but in the next panel his body appears to be fine. Even her face appears to just be a skull with hair, maybe it was just to depict the direness of the battle? I dislike how in shonen anime female characters no matter how powerful are nerfed or snuffed out to make the Male characters more prominent :/
@@reubenyuri probably she showed up as skull because she was already a demon and at "full power" while zaraki wasn't, if I remember correctly at the and even zaraki started to look as skull symbolizing that he was starting to break his mental barriers and he was unlocking his true power. It's true that probably unohana let him kill her but I think because she wanted the only one kenpachi lived because that's the rule, so when she saw that zaraki was full power she let him kill her. It wasn't to show that zaraki was stronger, she decided to be killed even before that battle started.
@Kenpachi Zaraki and who won the fight?? It sure as hell wasn't kenpachi. The only characters that were able to dominate Ichigo was aizen when he escaped soul society, Ywhach (any of his multiple forms), ulquiorra (all three forms) and to a lesser extent Nnoritora.
@@jtotheroc we thought ichigo won, we thought that was kenpachi's limit, ichigo got full power from zangetsu, while kenpachi was just normal, and he was the one standing.
In terms of aesthetic, ichigo's bankai has always been the most uncool to me. Like, every form.Especially, in comparison to all the captains. This video really brings that up to me. I get it is supposed to kinda show his personality since he's an understated, (mostly) serious person prone to violence which his bankai reflects but I honestly think kubo should've given it more pizzaz.

Since Zaraki killed Unohana, and the "Second Kenpachi" never killed the first Kenpachi, does that technically make Zaraki the real Second Kenpachi, cause you earn the title by killing the previous holder of the title.
Unohana was a cooler kenpachi, she wasn’t overpowered and was the only kenpachi to not be beaten in succession. I find zaraki overpowered and lacks a true superior whom I would love to see as a gentle fighter

unohana was a great character that wasnt used to her full potential.. the entire anime they build her up since she has that scary persona underneath her light hearted exterior.. you just wait and wait for her moment.. her moment happens and its over in what 2 chapters? they really could have used her better. i feel like bleach did that with lot of captains, ukitake for example... just dies lol we dont see his bankai we dont see him really fight.. but he was one of the first captains so you expect him to be strong with a crazy bankai.. only to be used as a fodder character. Shunsui im glad they used him.. he was one of my favorites off the start.

Why has no one ever spoke on how Zaraki Kenpachi is the most powerful / best written character in Bleach. Everything about his story is subtle, yet the perception of this character is that it's straight forward. Think of Zaraki Kenpachi this way: He is a being who has purposely AND unconsciously gone out of his way to help every single one of his opponents have the slightest opportunity to kill him in battle since he was a child AND NOT ONE PERSON COULD KILL HIM until he got back to Unohana, the official previous Kenpachi and GREATEST CRIMINAL OF SOUL SOCIETY (who didn't even care to lift a blade when Aizen had swept Yamamoto under the rug), when he beat her as a child before suppressing his power. The man's Zanpakuto spirit is powerful enough to live a normal life as a human/soul, is able to beat the entire 11th Division (Including the previous Lieutenant) by HERSELF, meaning you'd have to be CAPTAIN level to even beat this 3 foot tall girl, AND SHE EVEN HAS A UNIQUE SHIKAI!!!! By the way she isn't affected by anyone's Reistsu, not even Yamamoto.

I think the reason why unohana retires from being the kenpachi is because of zaraki. When she thought she killed zaraki as a child. She thought there's no one to surpass her and beat her until she learn that zaraki was still alive and fighting. Unfortunately for both of them thry both change alot as well.
I really wish Unohana's bankai was so much more than a red sword dripping blood or whatever it was.

Yachiru is part of a zanpakutou, she is the part of Zaraki's bankai that he rejected in order to enjoy his fights even more. When Zaraki finally releases his shikai, he shows that he accepts his own power and she goes back into the sword, that is why only her garments and badge remains on the floor. She is the one that shows Zaraki the power of bankai later on.

Since when do you have to go into shikai state before using bankai? Kurotsuchi has used it plenty of times without activating his shikai and Byakuya has to exclusively be sealed before using bankai.

Well Urahara's Hogyoku's true potential was revealed much later .... the power to grant ones deepest desires ... initially the central 46 deemed it as something dangerous that could blur the boundaries between shinigamis and hollows ... and I believe they suppressed the whole thing , and the royal guards are not much aware of what happened at those times .... plus , the hogyoku is now with Aizen , so it is not much useful ..though i believe given enough time kisuke can perhaps build another with his immense genius and wisdom
He replaced the 12th Division Captain who got promoted into Zero Squad. He could've been invited eventually, but he was exiled before he had the chance (thanks to Aizen).

Kenpachi got put into space and came back by ripping throughthe dimension. He scared his opponent so much ( an opponent that could manifest anything he imagined)that he couldn't think of anything to beat Kenny and lost. His bankai was so powerful it was like Naruto's 4 tail fox cloak, it burned his skin off.. and it wasn't even full power. Aizen is probably the only one with a stronger spiritual pressure. I can't wait to see the final arc of bleach aninated.

People really should read the battle between Kenpachi and and Unohara... it's epic this video doesn't really do it justice, especially in regards to the difference in power levels at the beginning of the fight.

The second and ninth were probably just normal captains. Since they just had the title handed to them. The seventh being stronger then Shunsui is crazy though. Since besides the zero squad, Yamato and and Zaraki he is the most powerful captain.
We should've known that Unonhana was dangerous considering how other people were easily intimidated by her meri presence. Ukitake and Shunsui don't dare joke about her in her presence.
I think we all knew she was dangerous we just didn't expect her to be a blood thirsty person. Kubo surprised us with her.
7th kenpachi vs current kenpachi would’ve been badass
Probably bankai minazuki is not acid, there's no zanpaktou that has different power in shikai and bankai. Her bankai's ability probably is very high regeneration but it's too fast and detoriorate everything it touches and kill it. If her shikai is regeneration her bankai should be still regeneration but in a higher scale.
Not really, there are a few zanpakto whose shikai form is very different and unrelated to the bankai.

@The Comment is I feel like she allowed Kenpachi to defeat her, cause he did so whilst she was in bankai state and he didn't even know how to release his own bankai. Also I don't get how in one panel his skeleton is partially showing like it's been burned off by acid which supports the shikai and bankai being acid based theory but in the next panel his body appears to be fine. Even her face appears to just be a skull with hair, maybe it was just to depict the direness of the battle? I dislike how in shonen anime female characters no matter how powerful are nerfed or snuffed out to make the Male characters more prominent :/
@@reubenyuri probably she showed up as skull because she was already a demon and at "full power" while zaraki wasn't, if I remember correctly at the and even zaraki started to look as skull symbolizing that he was starting to break his mental barriers and he was unlocking his true power. It's true that probably unohana let him kill her but I think because she wanted the only one kenpachi lived because that's the rule, so when she saw that zaraki was full power she let him kill her. It wasn't to show that zaraki was stronger, she decided to be killed even before that battle started.

@Kenpachi Zaraki and who won the fight?? It sure as hell wasn't kenpachi. The only characters that were able to dominate Ichigo was aizen when he escaped soul society, Ywhach (any of his multiple forms), ulquiorra (all three forms) and to a lesser extent Nnoritora.

In terms of aesthetic, ichigo's bankai has always been the most uncool to me. Like, every form.Especially, in comparison to all the captains. This video really brings that up to me. I get it is supposed to kinda show his personality since he's an understated, (mostly) serious person prone to violence which his bankai reflects but I honestly think kubo should've given it more pizzaz.
