The AM 1/97 is still my favorite SW collab of his but I'm biased because I have them but these are definitely giving me late 90s/early 2000s vibes. Really cool retro look overall
Brutal review!!! Sorry, someone had to do it :) Appreciate all the knowledge and think this is a very interesting and engaging shoe. Not completely my style but I appreciate all the thought and details that went into this. The amount of materials they used is crazy. Definitely has a late 90s vibe. Hell of a review as always Min.
I was on the fence about these when they released, but after watching your video, i regret not going for these on release day. Also, i really liked that you talked about brutalism, which is something i hadn't heard about previously. Great stuff, as usual!
Have you researched any other Wotherspon x adidas collabs? There are a few of them. He bailed on Nike in favor of what 3Stripes offered. The upper is most certainly a brutalist pastiche of sorts. The placement of the stripes adds to that aesthetic while paying homage to the past. Are you keeping up the the adidas Originals Consortium Cup? There is already fire wearable art happening in big ways and the round of 16 just wrapped. ✌🏽💙👟
@@minsoochoi you may wanna check out the upcoming adidas x Kasina x Kim Jung Gi Campus drop. Fun take on “Catch a tiger by the tail…” The artwork is beautiful, and it’s great to see something new done with an old Bball model. adidas Confirmed App has March 17 as drop day. South Korea is really breaking through! ✌🏽💙👟
its interesting that i disagree in regards to the 3-stripe placement... from my perspective its almost hidden to my eye, it almost becomes part of the overall texture. adds to that anti-monogram style i gravitate towards!
I really appreciate you talking about design style. Especially in relation to art history. Awesome content!
Thanks so much! Stuff like that is really fun to research and talk about.

Sneakers that convey an artistic era are some of my favorite to talk about!

I've seen some of his past Adidas collaborations. I never had them in hand. I think I need to follow more closely what Adidas is doing, for sure!
